Morning Everyone
TEJAS hope you were able to go back to sleep. Sorry you couldnt sleep. Hope everything is ok.
BEACHBUM thinking of you. Hope the DR goes well.
ONTARGET Hope you get rain. We got some snow yesterday. Just enough that the roads were bad in spots. And guess some more snow on its way. I just keep thinking only 2 months until spring. And then it will be summer and I will be wishing for some of this cooler weather.
VICKIE How are you doing. How's Jenny Craig going.
Well not much happening here so far this morning.
Had to get some info for my Dad. So got that. Thought might as well get on here and see how you ladies were doing.
Have to go to town before WW tonight. Need to pick a couple of things up from the store. And make sons truck payment.
Other than that not sure what I will get into. Do have some coffee cups in the sink. May wash them up. And the breakfast dishes.
Well I will get off here for now.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Thinking of each of you.

Hi Ladies:)

Weighed in this morning and I gained 1.5 ,so I back to the weight I was on Christmas except for .5....Have no idea why???? watched the sodium, but the only thing I can think of is my calories were too low Sat & Sun. Have to bring them back up again.

Got back from the Doctor and LEO HAS A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH. The Cancer is gone,so its into remission again.

Went to BJ and got myself a Swiffer Wet Jet Cleaner to clean all the floors downstairs that don't have carpeting. Can't go on my hands and knees anymore as my back goes out..So I hope this will do the trick to cleaning.

When at the doctor's I talked to the nurse about my weight gain and she told me to go back to the 1600 calories per day and be sure to eat 6 mini meals, instead of 3 large ones. PORTION CONTROL AND EXERCISING IS THE KEY TO WEIGHT LOSS. So tomorrow I'm going to try 6 mini meals that will total up to 1600 cals and 32 pts W) WW. Have so many keys its just to find the right one to open the lock.

RHONDA-Thanks :thanks: for the new pages. I hate when that happens. My sleepless :tired: night was on Saturday. Hope you find your zzzz's to night.

COCO-Thanks :thanks: for thinking about us, all is well as I posted above.Good Luck :luck2you: at your WW W-I. Crossing:crossed: my fingers for you.

:woohoo: Maryann, that's so great about Leo. What a relief for the two of you and your loved ones. Wonderful news!

I'm trying to get in the habit of taking my lunch. The tip I was given about having a hard boiled egg around 10AM has really helped. So, I'm going to try to get even more control by taking my lunch most days.

I also made a huge vat of soup with diced tomatoes, beans, spinach, and peas. It is really tasty and wouln't have too many points. I had soup, light cheese and an apple for lunch at was just fine until about 4PM when I had more light cheese. Feels better....

I hope you're all having a good day, and we know that Maryann is!

Maryann -- WONDERFUL NEWS! I'm so happy things are clean for Leo. Its got to be a huge relief. Glad the Dr had a suggestion. Everyone's body is different, i hope the 6 mini meals does the trick for you.

Rhonda, glad the egg is helping you. I do always bring my lunch with me. I find it very easy to control when all my food for the day is prepacked. I've gotten in the habit of getting my lunch and dd's lunch ready after we have dinner. I've already got her stuff organized - I would have mine, but I'm off tomorrow.

Work has been very, very busy and we are getting another snow storm on Wednesday. Its supposed to start around 7am and end around 4. Just in time for commute in and home. Oh well. I'm expecting DD to have school cancelled - its only a 1/2 day anyway. DH is going to be with her for the afternoon, or all day if needed. Lucky me gets to venture to work in the snow. Oh well..... otherwise, I'm doing well on program. I'm expecting some kind of loss on Wednesday. My only concern is TOM is here. If I do gain, its because of that.

Vickie, how are you doing with Jenny? Hope its working for you.

Sandra, Coco, Sloan, Pam -- and anyone else I've missed. HI!

Well, time to get dd in jammies, then pick up the house for the cleaning lady tomorrow. Have a good night.

Hi Ladies:)

For Chinese New Year I having sliced beef spinach & noodle stir fry.

Nothing new, except that were going to get hit with snow again.Don't know how many inches, but we're going to go out to get the essentials.

Went to the calorie count web site to get some answers what I doing wrong maybe that can advice me how to play the calorie game.

Thanks:thanks: Ladies for you your kind words. We are very very happy and we decided to take a cruise somewhere to celebrate.

Will let you know when & where

Now I have to get my weight off. Now I have a good goal to strive for.

RHONDA-We are very happy to hear & see that doctor with a big smile on his face when he come thought the exam room door. We are going to try to make more homemade soups, than eat the high sodium ones in the supermarket.

PAULA-It was a relief as we didn't know what to expect. I don't know if this will work but other than the 6 mini meals per day I going up higher on the points system to 1600cal [32 pts] per day

Have to go ,will post later

Hi Chicks! My modem is dying and I can only stay online for about a minute. I'll get online and catch up with you all later this week. The modem is in the mail to me from ATT. This one is less than a year old and dead.

I'm off to my first weight in for Jenny Craig and I had a great week. Not enough exercise but certainly a start. It's a bloaty week for me but I should lose at least a pound.

I hope you are all well.

Good morning, I new here can anyone join it the weekly chats? I have been doing WW on my own again this time and have a 5lb loss the first week so I hope I can keep it going on the down side.

Beach Bum - very good news about your husband and I hope wherever you decide to go an a cruise that you have a fabulous time. I also have heard that the 6 small meals are a good way to go as you blood sugars stay more stabilized and you never really get that hungry feeling. I haven't tried it as with my work schedual it doesn't really fit in. I hope it works well for you.

I think when I go home tonight I will have to boil some eggs. I do love them but never really prepare a batch to take to work with me. Not sure why that is. But now after reading this I have a sudden craving for them.:)

Hi Everyone
WELCOME BIGMID. Congrats on the loss.

BEACHBUM What wonderful news about your hubby. That is awesome. And it is so exciting that you are going on a cruise. What a way to celebrate. You will get the 1.5 off next week. Keep your chin up. I have heard some people saying eating the smaller meals really helps. Maybe I should try that sometime.

BLESSEDWITHSARAH Good luck with weigh in. We got some snow this morning. They canceled school here. But we are to get some more snow tonight into tomorrow. The roads are just now getting cleared off. They are wet. So hope the salt and cinders keep the roads from getting to icy later.

VICKIE Sorry about your computer. How did weigh in go. I am thinking of you.

TEJAS That is good you are taking your lunch. The soup sounds good. Might have to make me some this week. Or maybe I will make some chili. Kind of in the mood for that. Will do one or the other.

To everyone else I am thinking of you.
Well I got a nice surprise on the scales last night. I was down a pound. My scales were saying I had stayed the same. And the way I ate last week. Well I was afraid they were up. So I will have to be really good this week. So my bad week dont catch up with me.
Well got to get off here for now.
Got some clothes in the dryer I need to see about. And another to put in.
Will be back later.

Hi everyone.

Maryann, great news!!! I haven't posted here too long, so I'm not familiar with Leo's health. A cruise sounds wonderful. I went to calorie count too.
That is too funny. I was wondering how many calories I was consuming, since I only get 19 pts each day. I've decided to eat my WPA's this week, or most of them. I don't think I eat enough either.

Rhonda, your soup sounds good. We might have that tomorrow. Tonight is going to be Southwestern Chicken. I got the recipe from Dottie's board.

Vickie, good luck with WI.

Bigmid, welcome to the board and on your great weight loss this week.

coco, congrats on the 1 lb gone.

I didn't make it to the meeting last night. I go with my daughter and I think she was up this week and wanted to bow out. I think I might have stayed the same. Have been tracking everyday, since I rejoined the beginning of January. Like I said, I am going to try to eat more of my wpa's to see if that will shock my body. Plus, I do my treadmill everyday and that is usually 2 ap's. Today, I did 3.5 miles in 60 minutes. Whewwwwww, what a workout.

We are expecting the snow tonight too. No school for the kids today and will probably cancel tomorrow as well.

Have a good evening.

Hi Everyone
Got the dishes done. And thought I would get back on here for a few.
We are having some freezing rain right now. I dont like that. Would rather have the snow.
I have a feeling that school will be canceled tomorrow. They didnt have it today.
Not sure what we will get into tomorrow. Hubby and I are suppose to get our hair cut. But will depend on the weather if we go or not. So will have to wait till the morning and see.
Well I will get off here for now.
Think I will go and fix me a cup of tea.
Have a wonderful evening.

Low carb: I read something in the newspaper by Drs. Oz and Mehamet (sp?). It said that a low carb diet did a better job of protecting the cardio-vascular system than did the Glycemic Index diet. Now, what is low carb? Less that 20 grams a day. How is that possible!? Half a cup of Fibre 1 has 24 grams; a third of a cup of oatmeal has
27 grams.

Low carb is much lower than I would have ever imagined. I'll check this out, but that is what the newspaper said.

I hope you all have a great day. We're expecting 6 inches of new snow on top of the foot we already have :shocksn:

Good Morning Ladies:)

UGHHHH!!!! The white stuff is coming down again, expecting 1 to 3 but happy news its suppose to disappear once the rain:rain: starts to melt it because the temps go up to the 40's,Heat wave:lol3:a temp we haven't seen in long time.

Second day on my 1600 cal into 6 small meals,[267c][5pts] for each meal.Lets see it this helps getting that scale to go down spreading out my my total calories though out the day.

VICKIE-Oh dear:shrug: those computers:comp: are a pain in the neck. We had modem problems also, but we just took it to our cable company in town to replace ours. Good luck :goodluck:at Jeannie,Let us know how the appointment went.

BIGMID-Welcome:welcome2: to our thread,we have a a wonderful group support on this thread. Big congrats on losing 5 lbs on your own.

Thanks:thanks:,we were relieved when that doctor walked in with a smile on his face we knew it was gone, but It was a scary:fr: past year, but now that has pasted. Still Haven't decided where to go on our cruise, but we better start now, before its to late. The good state rooms and dinning room tables go fast.

I heard of of dividing the points into 6 meal before, but I never tried it.So now it time to find out if this way will fork for me.

COCO-We were so happy:),that it was gone, and now we can go on with our lives. We were going to back to Hawaii when the cancer came back, but those trips go fast so many next year.

Hope you right  that I will lose that 1.5 and not that it gets stuck to my body for life. Maybe the new way of spreading my points though out the day will help.

PAM-My DH Leo had lung cancer 3 years ago and went into remission a for 1 year when it came back last June. Now it gone and hopefully it will stay away,so we can go back to our lives.

Didn't like when my leader told me after taking that quiz that I have to remain on that pt number of 20pts value=1000c,it was to low  for me,so I switched to the core plan and she kept on saying not to use my WPA's I'd lose faster. Well that didn't :no:happen, and I was looking for more WPA's So I quite and now doing the core on my own. Hope this new way of counting points will work for me,as I'm getting impatient.

RHONDA-Before WW & the SB I was on Atkins,CAD and other low carbs diets. The minute I added grain & bread carbs the weight came back. But if anyone can stay on it,good for them.My friends on the low carbing 3FC board are all gone.ATKINS[Breakfast menu-Eggs and veggies][lunch- salads & proteins][dinner-protein & veggies]CAD-the same menu as Atkins but for dinner you could had bread or grain carb along with veggies & protein, but you had to finish the meal in 6o mins. That to me is not life.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Its snowing here - we are supposed to get 3-6 inches. Not sure what will end up happening as we'll get rain as well. School was cancelled, so dd and dh are home. Driving into work wasn't too bad. I may leave early. I was all excited to have wi today. Even wearing jeans I would have been down 1-2 pounds. I had a good week. The loss would be higher if I was in my usual skirt and blouse (yes, I do know that outfit weighs less than my jeans!). Well, no wi. Due to the weather, WW is closed and no at work sessions.

I'm going to keep doing what i'm doing and the loss will be that much more next week.

Maryann, keep dry today. I think you are turning to rain a lot sooner than us. We'll end up with a nice slop everywhere that will freeze tonight.

Pam, thanks for the reminder on Dottie's board. I need to find some new recipes.

Coco, CONGRATs on the loss. A surprise loss always seems like a greater victory!

Got to run. BBL

Hi Everyone
Just listening to the rain hit the window. We are having rain right now. But it is icy out. Its not funny. At least the road looks like they finally got it cleared off. But the porch and driveway are a different story.
I about fell this morning on the porch. Walked the doggies. But had a leash that pulls out. So didnt have to go down the steps. But after I walked them. Was going to get the paper. And started to fall. Thought the paper can wait. So before son left for work. He got it for me.
Hubby tried to clean it off. But not much help. And the same with the driveway. Now he is really tired and taking a nap. We cant get the car out of the driveway with the ice. So hopefully I dont have to go anywhere.
Was suppose to get our hair cut today. But didnt make it.
Now later this afternoon we are to get snow. I cant imagine what our driveway will be like then. Well maybe with the snow it will give some traction.
TEJAS it isnt any wonder why people dont know how to diet. There is so many different opinions. You dont know who to follow. Well I guess I shouldnt say diet. But making lifestyle changes. I guess that is one thing I like about WW. You can eat whatever you want. Just need to learn portion control. We do try to watch added sugar in stuff. So what are we supose to do.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH Sorry you didnt have weigh in. Hope you had a good day.
BEACHBUM Hows the mini diets going. I got a Woman's World magazine the other day. It has Jeannie Frances on it. From General Hospital. She did the Medifast diet. But she ate the mini meals. I think it said she lost 40 lbs. Hope you have a great day. We are to get snow later.
PAM920 Hope you are having a good day. And didnt get too much snow.
Well I made some chili. So need to go check on that.
Will be back later.
Be safe everyone.

good afternoon all.

We had rain overnight, and this morning it turned into snow. We got a couple inches. I live on a 40+ acre farm and my daughter and her family, and my granddaughter and her family live on the property. Well, my granddaughter left for town to get diapers and by the time she was heading back, the snow was falling. She ended up in the ditch and a neighbor brought her home and my husband and her husband went and got the car back on the road. She said she was only driving 15 mph, and it was very slippery. I am terrified to drive in snow and haven't in years. I'm originally from Michigan and I did have to drive it when I worked, but we moved to Ky when we retired and I don't think I remember how to drive in it anymore, as we seldom get snow here.

Hubby is making a pot of vegetable soup so that will be dinner. He makes enough to feed all of us on the farm, lol.

Maryann, good luck with the mini meals. I know the fat belly diet says to eat four 400 calorie meals. I don't think I burn enough calories to eat that much. I've been eating 1200-1400 each day.

Paula, sorry you didn't get to WI, but next week should be a good one for you. I wear a pair of sweat pants or my thin weight jeans for WI. I try to wear the same stuff each week to get an accurate WI.

coco, we had ice yesterday. Please be careful and sorry you didn't get your hair cut.

Seems like we are all getting this storm. Wish Spring would hurry and get here. I'm so ready for warmer weather.

Hi to those I missed.

We've been in an ice storm. I haven't left the house in 2 days now. Looks like the good weather is coming back so we'll be back in the 50's tomorrow.

I took a vacation this last 2 days from program. I don't know what caused it, but I have to confess I've enjoyed it. I need to get back op. I'm definitely not expecting a weightloss this Friday, but life goes on.

Sounds like all of you are having wintry weather, too. Have any of you made potato soup lately? I made a big pot yesterday. It's core. Hmmmmmmm.....maybe I haven't eaten as sinfully as I was thinking.

Just want to share my wonderful dinner tonight. I made pizza -- with whole wheat dough. I actually determined that the blob of dough was 24 points. So, 1/6 would be 4 points. I made the pizza in a large jelly roll pan -- 1/6 of that was one big piece! I estimated 2 pts for the cheese, 0 for the tom sauce and then I loaded my corner with sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms. So for 6 points I had 2 good size pieces! I make pizza at least once a month but never before determined the points. But making it in the jellyroll pan rather than a pizza pan definatly streateched out the size. Just wanted to share for those who may be craving pizza. Look for premade whole wheat dough at your grocery store.

Hi Everyone
Well it finally stopped raining. And we are out of the storm warning. Temp is suppose to drop. And I know it has already 8 degrees that last time I looked. Son said the roads going to work wasnt too bad. But coming home. He said they were terrible. He was sliding a good bit. Went to turn off where he needed to turn off. He slid right past it. So had to turn around and go back. But he made it home safely.
Have the scanner on. And there are several wrecks. The fire depts are saying the roads are really bad. And wanting the DOH.
BEACHBUM I spelled Genie Frances name wrong in my post. So hopefully you knew who I was talking about.
PAM920 that is wonderful all your family is close by. I am glad your Granddaughter didnt get hurt. That ice is awful.

Paula, your pizza sounds good. Where did you find the ww dough? I have Walmart and Kroger. We are in a rural area, so not much to choose from and they don't always have healthy foods.

Coco, I'm glad your granddaughter wasn't hurt. There have been a lot of fender benders down here due to ice.

Pam, I haven't heard of making potato soup from hashbrowns. Sounds yummy.

Paula, your pizza sounds good. I have some WW pepperoni pizzas in the fridge. They're 8 pts each. I think that's high.

Vickie, how's your day? Are you doing Jenny Craig? I need to get back to eating my WW TV dinners.

Good Morning Ladies:)

The rain the wind came yesterday and this morning,I can see my front & side lawns. YIPEEE!!!! So as soon as Leo comes back from the Toyota dealer,I will be going out and see if the main sidewalk is clean and if so I will start my walking routine again.

Went to the WW site to look up anything that resembles the old core plan and I found out that all filling foods are marked with an green diamond.Which the old core allowed and everything else has to be adding points.

Went to Dottie's to see if she had the core food list but she doesn't.What foods have the GREENDIAMOND????

Since the beginning of Jan I been following the old core foods but adding points to every thing to find what how many calories I was consuming. As you know I'm now adding my point value from 20 to 32.[1000-1600c]

Is there a list of Green diamond foods around???I can't seem to find them anywhere on the web.

PAULA-Them temps were up on the Cape and we got rain:rain: and the winds from the salty air evaporated and melted the snow. "I see the green green grass of home."

Thanks for sharing the pizza recipe with us.

COCO-I'm trying hard to keep my points even though out each meal, but some times it hard to in between meals to get them even.Let say 32 pts goes into 6 meals=5.5pts a meal.So may times I had to figure out when you cooking from a recipe that has more points.I have to delete the points from one meal to another. Hope that makes sense!!! Other wise I like it,never seem to be hungry anymore.

Don't watch the soap so,I really don't know who you mean.WOW I like to loss 1/2 of the 40 and I'd be satisfied.

PAM-I went over to the belly fat diet web site and I don't like their food list. At lease WW has the right slogan" its not a diet its a way of life"

SANDRA-Sorry about you still having the bad weather,I'm happy to have the warm temps back.Sending you :dust: to get back on program,Here's to a good W-I on Friday anyway.

I just got a e-mail from Smart Ones and they have new smart one Breakfasts and other meals coming to the supermarkets shortly, only bad news it they didn't give any coupons like Lean Cuisine does.

RHONDA-My Sister sent me some photo via e-mail of the snow that Quebec City got. Unbelievable, the way you got hit with the snow.

VICKIE,-Hope you get your computer running again soon. When are you excepting the new modem from ATT.??

Morning all.

Maryann, go to Dottie's and the Simply Filling shopping list is the old Core list. Basically the same plan, just a new name. You'll find it in the Simply Filling forum.

The potato soup recipe is in the recipe section, here at 3fatchicks, in the weight watcher section. Super quick and great taste.

I need to exercise and I'm feeling lazy today.

Have a great day.

Maryann, grass! Im jealous! I don't think I'll see grass until May. We got about 5 inches of snow, then it rained, then it froze. So, all the snow we had already had on the ground is now encased in about 2 inches of frozen slush. Not fun.

Coco, I found the wholewheat dough in the deli/pizza section. In my grocery store there is a case with fresh pizza, pasta, and pre-packaged deli. The pizza dough is ususally in there.

Well, busy, busy day at work, not time to stay. Just wanted to stop by quickly. BBL

Hi Everyone
Just thought I would get back on here.
Now I have some time to visit.
Well I guess we are to get 1-2 inches of snow during the night.
I have been seeing the poor deer trying to find some food. I had a couple of apples that had a couple of bruises on them. Could have ate them. But gave them to the deer.
BIGMID I have been having trouble with the eating also. I guess it is just cabin fever. Wanting to go and do things. But cant get out. So why not eat. But I started a good book. So that is helping.

TEJAS Congrat on staying core and the break through at work.

BLESSEDWITHSARAH I will have to look at Wal Mart. That is where I usually shop. But I can try Kroger or Giant Eagle. I know what you mean about the snow.

BEACHBUM was you able to go for your walk. I did the gazelle a little bit. But not enough. But I guess that is a start. I will have to look in my books and see if there is a list of the green diamond food. I dont remember any. But then again. I havent really been reading the new info. Been just doing the old plan.

PAM920 Is the potato soup the one with the hash browns and gravy and chicken broth. If it is. We love that soup.

ONTARGET how was your movie. Hope you enjoyed it.

VICKIE Hows things going. Hope you get your computer fixed soon. Miss you.

Coco, we watched an old western last night. It was all right but not 5 star entertainment. I'm glad you were able to get out.

Rhonda, I'm glad you had the breakthrough at work. Enjoy your wine. I'm back op but will not wi tomorrow. Can't face the scales.

Hi Chicks! I'm back with a new modem. Yay! I hadn't realized how slow the old one was running.

I lost only 1 pound at JC on Tuesday but I'll take it. It was PMS time so I'm hoping for a better loss next week. I only exercised one time last week but plan to double it for this week. I'm enjoying the JC food a million times better than Nutrisystem, but even JC isn't gourmet. I learned how to eat healthy on Core, now I'm learning portion sizes. When I get to goal, I'll probably go back to WW and starting cooking simply filling foods for life....in teeny, tiny portions. Sigh.

Anywhooooo.....I have a couple of things to do and then I'll be back to catch up with all of you.

Good Morning:

Congrats Vickie. Interesting that JC would be better than Nutrisystem. Anyway, good luck with both the food and the exercise.

Good Morning Ladies:)

The grass might be green but the winds & cold air is still blowing. We are goin g down to the beach, but no walking.Sorry COCO I didn't walk outside yesterday but I did get on my bike for 40 mins instead.

PAM-I went over to Dotty's but you have to down load the list and Leo doesn't want me to download anything with all the virus out there. While on her site I saw some of the old core foods,so I use that instead. After reading your post about potato soup I a yearn for it,going to buy some leeks to with the potato soup.

PAULA-I guess were lucky to see the grass again, but not for long as February is a brutal month on the Cape.

BIGMID-This time of the year people look for comfort foods to get though the bad weather. Glad that you back OP again.

RHONDA-Congrats for staying on the Core and for the new break though at work, but 1 glass of wine I don't think is going to effect your weight loss.

COCO-I didn't go out as it was too cold for me,but as soon as the temp rise a bit I will walk again. Thanks I would appreciate if you could give me a list of some of the green diamond foods as there were some changes in some of the categories form the Old Core.

SANDRA-Use the :dust: anytime you feel like it.I'll probably use it next Monday if I didn't lose.

VICKIE-Glad to see you posting again I 've been there having to put a new modem in is a pain.Thats interesting that the two plans are so different in taste. I guess its most be the spices and how there prepared. Plus JC has a counselor that you'll be able to contract if you have any questions. Congrats on your weight loss and good luck with the plan.

Have a great morning, will be back later

Hi Everyone
Well we are having a snowy day again today. We were suppose to only get a inch. But we have gotten around 3. And just a little bit ago. It was snowing so hard. I couldnt even see our neighbors house down the road. But at least it has stopped snowing now.
Guess it is suppose to be kinda nice over the weekend. And then Mon eve into Tues we are suppose to get some more snow. Cant wait. Hope it isnt too bad next week. Hubby has a eye Dr appt. And we are suppose to try and get our hair cut again.
VICKIE So glad you are back. Missed you. A pound is good. I know we want it to come off as fast as it comes on. But you are doing good.
BEACHBUM Congrats on riding your bike. That is good.
I made some pudding this morn. Done the cooked kind. Done vanilla and chocolate. Hubby likes vanilla I like the chocolate.
Well I need to get off here for now. Got to wash towels.
Will be back later.

Hi Chicks!

Coco your neck of the woods is really getting clobbered with the snow and ice. That's what was happening to us a couple of weeks ago. We just couldn't get out from underneath it. I hope it stops soon. At least you have your pudding! :D

Rhonda, you sound mellow and happy with what's going on at work. I hope the days will fly by for you. How long will you stay in Canada after you retire? I never watched Northern Exposure. Is is good? I bought Jim Netflix and I see we can get it off of there.

Mary Ann, I missed the new on Leo! How outstanding and wonderful. :carrot:You deserve something special like a cruise. Work hard now....I heard all people do is eat on them. I've never been on one.

Paula, bummer that you missed your weigh in. Imagine how great your loss will be for next week! Have you dug out of the snow and ice yet? I can't remember where you are. Not all states/towns are well equipped. Your pizza recipe sounded outstanding. You should add that to the recipe file. Someday, I'll be looking for it!

Pam, I'm going to make some vegetable soup too. I'm going to do the WW recipe because it would be free for me too. I welcome any suggestions on how to make a good free soup.

Sandra, are you out of the house yet? Don't sweat your 2 days off program. You'll get back on. Good thing you always get so much exercise. I don't get nearly enough, even of the lifestyle type.

Ok...off to get my snack of baby carrots and Marzett's FF dill dip. Yum!

Talk to you all later.

Hi :) I'm back again,

This morning I had a crazy experience with my computer:comp:my browser firefox crashed and took me off line.

In the meantime,we decided that it was too late to head outside so close to dinner time,so tomorrow morning we'll go down to the beach instead.

While getting my laundry done I went on the treadmill for 40 mins.watching a Nicolas Cage movie "Bring Out the Death" about an paramedic who tries to confront his ghosts of the past & discovers that redemption can be found in the living.

COCO-I'm so happy that snow is in the past and for the next several days we are having sunny:sunny: but cold weather.I got a chance to exercise on my treadmill:tread: also for 40 mins, hoping the scale will move downward this Monday.

VICKIE-Thanks:thanks:,Both of us were thrilled:cloud9: when the doctor came in smiling and telling us the good news. I know that's the one thing I afraid :fr:of is the food,as this will be our 5 cruise and twice I gained 10-lbs. Have to plan on some strategy:chin: to keep that from happening again.

Have a great afternoon.have to get the rest of my laundry washed

Howdy, Chickies. We're back home from a day out running errands and keeping the grands after school. I did wi this AM and had a slight gain. It wasn't earth shattering and the sun still set in the west this PM, so I guess all is all right. I'm back op now. Life is good.

Vickie, congratulations on losing this week. Sounds like you're on your way. I think it's interesting that JC food is better than NS. Please keep us posted on your progress and how well you like JC's program.

Maryann, you're right. We can never have too much :dust: I'm definitely using it.

Vickie, we didn't make it to the club today because of errands. Tomorrow we shoot a tournament so I'll get a little exercise then. After the tournament we're getting a truckload of dirt so the exercise will begin.

Evening Everyone
Just getting back on here for a few.
ONTARGET Glad you weighed in. And it wasnt as bad as you thought. But you are back on track. So next week you will have it off. Good luck with the tournament.

VICKIE Guess tomorrow is to be cold and no snow. And Sunday it is suppose to get up to around 40. But then I guess on Monday eve into Tues we are to get more snow. They are not sure what we will get yet. Depends on how the storm goes. So keeping my fingers crossed that it goes so we dont get much snow. Hubby has a eye Dr appt on Wed. So need to go to that. And on Tuesday we had some errends we needed to run. So will depend on the weather. Did you get your soup made. Maybe I should get some veggies over the weekend and make some for our snowy days coming.

BEACHBUM that is great walking on the treadmill 40 minutes. Maybe I need to start walking on mine. I know I cant walk 40 minutes at one time on it. But guess I can start out with 10 or 15 minutes. And work up. Have a great weekend.

Well I am going to get off here.
I am kinda tried. So am going to go relax for a little bit. Well I will probably fall asleep.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Well I set up the Wii fit last night and apparently I have gained 2lbs but official weigh in isn't til Sunday. I did do 30min on the Wii this morning and seeing as the exercises are not very hard it shows me just how out of shape I am. Oh well you have to start somewhere I guess.

good evening.

I did some exercising using the stretch bands and my left wrist is killing me.
Almost feels like a strain. I took some tylenol and it helped. Hope it doesn't keep me up all night.

My husband's birthday is Sunday, so I have 2 cakes to make tomorrow. He like German Chocolate and I got a strawberry cake for those that don't like coconut. We will do cake and ice cream Saturday and we are going to Outback for dinner on Sunday.

I am so torn about going back to "South Beach Diet or staying with WW. Core is similar to sbd, so I might just combine the both. I only have a couple more pounds to lose and really dont care if I lose them or not. I eat healthy, my cholestrol numbers are good, and I exercise everyday. The number on the scale is just that....a number. I'm wearing size 6 & 8's. I still have a little belly fat, but not a lot anymore.

Can't remember who asked but the potato soup is in the recipe section. It'[s made with hashbrowns and country gravy mix. It is so good, but i'm sure there is a lot of sodium in it.

I guess I'll call it a night and go watch tv. Have a great weekend.

Morning all:

Finally, the weekend. We'll spend it doing the never-ending chores related to putting the house on the market in March. Vickie, we plan to move as soon as we can after June 30.

The market is awful so we have some concern about being able to sell and move. But, I'm not going to get in a snit about something I cannot control. I have a good life with really nothing to complain about. We'll just take what comes, which is all you can really do anyway.

I've been way to lazy about :exercise: I seemed to have just stopped when the weather turned cold. But, it's no excuse since I have a lot of DVD's...it's simple laziness. I'm going to see if I can break that this weekend.

It is 10F and we have lots of the white stuff. Sigh.. I do have two really large skylights so that helps with the lack of light at this time of the year.

Have an OP day, or at least count those points!

Good morning everyone. Well, I'm doing really well on plan. Since I started back at ww at work, I have been true to the plan. Tracking my points, keeping my evening eating under control (still snacking but planned snacks) and I've increased my exercising. Nothing crazy, I still walk nightly but I'm now doing some isometric exercises on my legs and abdomen. Each morning I do my stretches (2 weeks ago I could not get very far in the am - too stiff for 43!). So now I can put my hands on the floor when stretching over. Then I do 5 minutes of my isometrics. I like doing that because its only 5 minutes and I can really feel the burn. So far so good. My scale is happy these days and moving down.

Its playdate Saturday. DDs friend who takes gymnastics with her will be here an hour early. Then at 1:00 a different friend is here for the afternoon. I brought home work to do. Otherwise, not much else going on.

Pam -- if you are so close to goal, think about how you plan on eating for the rest of your life. What is a better fit -sbd or core/ww? Can you just do low carb or is a high fiber, portion control a better fit? I know when I made lifetime, I still stuck with eating mostly core - whole grains, whole wheat, loow fat, lots of fruits and veggies. I've managed to keep most of the 40+ off that I lost - hit lifetime in June 2005. HTH.

Rhonda, my sister is in the same boat as you. They just put there house on the market and plan on doing addition to their daughters house. Then be in semi-retirement. Lets hope the market turns around soon for everyone.

Well, go to get moving. I'll check in later.

Good morning all.

Rhonda, I have a ton of videos too. I've been mostly doing the treadmill, but the videos would be a nice change. The housing market is so slow right now. I hope it picks up soon. Where would you move if you sell?

Paula, great job. Exercise is so important. South Beach and Core are very similar. I eat whole grains, lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats. I stay away from sugar and enriched flour. Right now I'm tracking my calories at Calorie Count. I really like that site. It lets you know how many calories you ate, plus how many you've burned throughout the day. I'm trying to keep them at 1200-1400.

We are having cake for my husband today. My daughter is a nail tech and she is doing my nails today. Other than that, I have an easy day planned.

Have a great weekend.

"I'm so excited.....
and I just can't hide it....
I know I know I know.......

(Can't remember the rest of the words.)"

I shot my highest score of the season today. I'm still not to a peaking point but am soooooo excited!!

Also, I'm op. Looks like we'll go get more dirt tomorrow for the last bed. The rosebushes will be arriving in just a few weeks.

Again, "I'm so excited....."

Rhonda, I'll bet you enjoy those skylights. Did you exercise today? The only exercise I got was from shooting that tournament and moving a water hose around the yard. (Nothing like last summer)

Paula, :woohoo: on staying op.

Pam, be careful, my friend. You're in the dangerous area now. I've heard of a lot of folks who started regaining at the point where you are. (I'm one of them. I regained about 50 lbs.)

Bigmid, I have been wanting a WII. Do you like yours?

Vickie, I hope you're having a good weekend.

Got to go. The timer just went off. WW Pizza is ready. Life is good.

Hi Everyone
Well had a half decent day today. Was kinda cool. But seen the sun. Tomorrow we are suppose to be in the 40's. Then I guess sometime Monday into Tuesday we are to get snow. But then the weather man. Said he didnt think we were going to get alot of snow. Said they way the storm was tracking now. So guess I really wont know we will get until we get it.

ONTARGET Congrats on the high score.

PAM920 Is Sugar Buster similar to SB and WW Core. Hope you have a good time at hubbys party. Enjoy your dinner tomorrow.

TEJAS Good Luck with selling your home. Sounds as if you will be busy getting ready to move. I know what you mean about not exercising. I havent done it either. I have done a few minutes on the gazelle. But not like I should. And I havent gotten on the treadmill in forever. Just in the basement collecting dust. So one of these days. I will dust it off and get to walking on it. I really need to get to exercising. So maybe I will set that as a goal for the month of Feb. To start exercising 3 days a week.

BLESSEDWITHSARAH How did the playdate go. I am sure they girls had a good time.

BIGMID I have been wondering about the WII fit. Wondered how much of a workout you get. Someone told me it was a pretty good work out. Then I think if I buy it. To make it work. I have to take it out of the box. Do you like the WII fit.

VICKIE How are you doing. Is the weather clearing up any for you. Hope so. We still have a good bit of ice in our yard and driveway. Son went to Lowe's to get some salt. But they didnt have any. So maybe we can try Wal Mart tomorrow.

Well I am going to get off here. I hope everyone had a great day.

Hi Everyone:

Good for you, Sandra. How exciting for you to be shooting so well.

Pam, I'm from Texas and I'm going back (and will be reasonably near Sandra). We moving to Denton, just north of Ft. Worth.

Vickie, Northern Exposure was a six season TV drama/comedy about people in a small fictional town in Alaska. The main characters are a male physican who is working off his education loan and a female bush pilot. There is a young Indian man who loves movies, an elderly female store keeper who is the town pragmatist, an arrogant, but loveable former astronaut, an ex-con hippie newcaster, a 60 year old pub keeper in love with an 18 year old girl who loves him back.....oh, and a young Indian girl who is the doctor's receptionist and wise beyond her years....it's great...

Yesterday it was 10F; now it is 45F. It's going down again for a few days and then back up. But, this one day of Spring has been very welcome!

I did do some exercise :barbell: and some on the floor...but no aerobics. But, the day's not over.

Coco, I'm glad you got some good weather this weekend. I hear thunder boomers outside now. I hope we get some rain.

Rhonda, we had 70's today. Tomorrow is going to be a little cooler, though. I worked in the yard a couple of hours today planting bulbs. I got a little exercise doing that but not much.
