Default Fat Smash Dieters - 20 Somethings

Hey!

just wanted to see if there is anyone in the 20 something forum that is doing the fat smash diet. i am starting phase 1 in the morning and would like to ask some questions. share some advice etc. the fat smash forum was pretty dead although there were some good FAQ's threads.

let me know!

Yeah, I'm on day 19. I love it! With the exercise, I'm down almost two pant sizes. Ask me whatever you need to.

Sorry, I wasn't on yesterday!

I had lost a little before I started the diet....this is day 19, and I'm down about 20 lbs. But I'm heavier, so it comes off a little faster. I didn't exercise til phase 2 though because I didn't have time.

I do have to plan meals, because I have a hectic schedule and have to bring meals everywhere. This is even more important once you can have meat again (thawing, etc).

I measure out my food with measuring cups, then eat til I'm full. Many times the full amount you can eat (i.e. 2 cups of rice) is really filling, and you'll have leftovers.

Hope that helps! Remember, day 1 is the hardest. It all gets better from there.

Maybe you just went bean crazy! But yeah, once you get into a routine it's a LOT easier. And you'll feel like a new person by the end of phase 1, even if you didn't drop a lot of pounds yet.

I've been really thinking about buying this book and trying it out! It sounds very healthy and I already eat so many of the foods that are allowed. Can you tell me what you've been eatting? What is a typical day supposed to look like?
Thanks!

i am in phase 1 and basically its a detox.

cutting out sugars, salts, processed foods etc.

no egg yolks, meat, white carbs or potatoes, bread, nuts

only beans, legumes, plain yogurt, brown rice, vegetables, fruit, oatmeal, low fat milk, egg whites etc. there is a link above to the forum on here that gives more info.

i have been eating a lot of salads and home made veggie soup brown rice and black beans so far. i feel really good i think i am going to try to eat a little more tomorrow since i will be working out. the plan calls for u to work out 5 days a week at least 30 minutes. i have been doing an hour so i am going to continue to do that.

i'm new so i only know a little bit.

Thanks for replying so quickly!
I bought some brown rice today in anticipation of maybe trying this out. For dinner I mixed 3/4 c (prepared) brown rice with 1/2 cup black beans, about 2 cups organic romaine and 1/4 cup salsa... it was really good and extremely filling! I don't know if the salsa is okay to eat on this or not, but I'll check out that link. I'm excited to start but I have a wedding to go to this weekend and then tahoe the next. So I think I'll just follow along with it on weekdays and then begin for real in of couple weeks.
Thanks again! And good luck with your weight loss. Keep us posted!

I'm thinking about starting it too, I bought the book a week ago, but haven't started yet. I'm a planner, and haven't had time to plan it all out! Or maybe that's just my way of procrastinating! LOL!

Hey Bjeweled, are you snowed in up there? I'm a little south of you. I'm on the extreme fat smash currently, but after i go through 3 weeks of that, I'm thinking of trying the regular fat smash. Have any of you been on weight watchers too? I've trying to decide the best diet for me--mainly concerned about losing the weight fast. Anyway, there seemed to be alot going on in this forum, and I needed the encouragement so I thought I'd post here.

snowed in for sure!
i have been on ww. one thing that i did with ww was incorporate other eating plans into the point system.like eat more fruits and veggies no white flours or sugars etc. i had to get away from just eating whatever within my points value so i had to stop the ww and try some other stuff. i prob will go back on it when i am closer to goal
