Default I'm totally freaking out right now!!!

So first of all...I had my WW weigh-in this morning, lost another 2lbs YAY!

Second of all...I was offered a really good job, but not much pay about a week ago. I ended up turning it down because it was about a $3/hr paycut. Well my boss called me this morning & offered it to me again with only about a $1/hr paycut. It's back on days, which I work nights now. Plus it's an office job, so I won't have problems with my back & wrists like I do now because my job is very physical. Plus, it's 9am-3pm, perfect hours for what the kids are in school!!! Anyways, I took it & now I'm all freaking out making such a huge change & taking a lot more responsibility...

Sorry, pretty much I just realized I'm just babbling...

I think we all freak out whenever we make a big change. I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, even though it's a pay cut and a little more responsibility maybe it's exactly what you need. I don't think your boss wouldve pushed so hard for you to take the job if he/she didn't think you were capable.

Almost a year ago I took a job with the public school system. It was pay cut, but I have awesome benefits and I have every weekend off! Plus it allowed me to go back to school because I'm off of work at 3:30 versus 9pm. I've also gained a different kind of experience to add onto my resume.

Remember to breathe and take it in stride... I'm sure you'll love it!

Congrats on the loss!!!

Your new job sounds great. You can't always sacrifice quality of life for money.

first - well done on the weight loss

now, taking a new job is always scary. the fact they offered it you twice means they really want you for it and they believe in you! You should believe in yourself too. it'll be hard at first and scary but you can do it. you just need to get settled and work out what will change and what you want.

nights - days is always hard but you'll get used to it much quicker than going to nights in the first place.

Congratulations!

I know how you feel- last september I accepted a job that pays almost HALF what I used to make- but my husband and I talked it out- we decided we could afford it as long as we were careful with money. This job is a stepping stone towards my ultimate career and my last job was just that- a job- nothing to do with my career goals. I'm so much more happier here anyways
