ot - just wasting time while I dye my hair~
Finally got up the courage to go red! I've been thinking about doing this for years . . . so in just 20 minutes, Miss Clairol will transform me in to a firery redhead!
Wonder if this improves my chances of getting a date with Carrot Top?
Anyone else here a redhead, real or imagined?

I've thought about dying my hair red, but I notice that red hair only looks "right" on some people. I just got all of my old dye jobs out of my hair so it is completely natural now and kind of boring ~_~.

I have red undertones in my now darker brunette. I used to be a red head but its the hardest color to maintain. It tends to go orangy or brassy if you don't keep up on it and it fades the fastest as well. It can be a very complimenting color though.

I've done red on and off through my life. My mama is a true red head so I can pull it off. Right now I'm black (natural) though.

My natural color is blondish brown, or brownish blond, but I love reds. Actually, I just love experimenting with hair colors, mostly blonde and reds.
I haven't had my hair dyed in about 4 years, and in December I finally decided to splurge and do it. I chose an auburn red with blonde highlights.
I really like it.

I absolutely adore red. It seems like everytime I see one of the makeover shows with a woman that has dull, lifeless boring hair, they redo her in red and she looks fab. My hair is very dark but does have some red coloration here and there. When I pass my goal, I might just do it.

Before I started making my hair turn different colors I had auburn hair with a few natural blonde highlights around my temple (I spent a lot of time outside swimming)
I just dyed my hair "pomegranate" by Garnier Nutrisse lol

My concern is that I will start something and not be able to stop. I am also deathly afraid of looking like an easter egg if I messed it up myself.

I would suggest maybe going to a salon and getting your hair dyed if it's something you want to try? That way they can do a color consult. Totally worth the money if you go to a good salon.
I have a very good client that is a hairstylist....one time I did mess up my hair & she had me come in after hours to help fix it. She's awesome!

I'm a real red/orange/carrot head. HATED it as a kid, LOVE it now. I get 2 or 3 platinum highlights thrown in when I get a cut, which looks super with the red hair. My hairdresser loves it and hates it all at once, says it's almost sinful to put highlights in real red hair.
Welcome to the wild side!

My hair is auburn (natural). I love the color. I've been thinking of getting highlights though. Maybe towards the end of winter, when it starts warming up.

I think Auburn is what I envision myself as. I adore Auburn.
