Anyone you want to add?

I see Chick in The Hat quite often and very recently (within days). I 'run' into her most in the calorie counting section.

Yeah, Chick in the Hat is around - I see her posting in the biker thread in support groups and cyclist thread down in the exercise forum.

PhotoChick deleted her account?

I'd ask what happened, but it is really not my business.

I really miss SoulBliss, too.

And does anyone know what happened to Aqua Warlock? Or OptimistK/Kim Renee?

Lilybelle is still around and can be found periodically in the Maintenance forum. :)

Heck, I'll ask what happened, I completely missed it! What happened to Photo Chick? I just tried to search for her last post and can't find anything ominous!

It's odd how people can slip away and you don't notice it. I always enjoyed Soulbliss (and she's from here too!) and I hadn't realized she had stopped posting :(

Soulbliss! Come back!

It's odd how people can slip away and you don't notice it.

Or even when you do finally notice, there's not really a way to get in touch with that person again, or even to know if they're okay... or what's going on with them.

The internet is a strange beast that way.

It's interesting to think about how much the internet has changed the basic characterictics of human interaction.

Glory, I miss Jayde as well. I've always wondered if something bad happened. She was such a regular poster, and then poof! She just completely disappeared one day. That always worries me.

And of course there's Hefty1. Glen :( His last post was about being in the hospital, and he never returned. His absence has haunted me for a long time.

I'm sure I've seen Chick in the hat around.

*ETA: I see others have mentioned it also*

I'm Lizziness- my account froze up and I couldn't get back into it and had to make a new one. :D

it is weird you get used to seeing people around and then poof.

I figured that I was missing people since I had not been on line for about 2 months. I miss photochick, always had an interesting point of view. Soulbliss I miss too. The last I heard was in Aug when her daughter was going to NYC for camp. She was stressed then. I also miss ladybugnessa. Where has she gone?

I've been wondering about a few people too. A couple of weeks ago I got to thinking(my thinking gets kinda weird on graveyards) that after about 200 posts and regular visitations, people should leave instructions with a family member to post under a "chick's" account what is going on, in case of incapacitation.

Hard to believe how you start caring about people you never get to meet in real life.

Hard to believe how you start caring about people you never get to meet in real life.

And I'm sure it's hard for people to think someone cares about them even though we've never met them.

Maybe they were going away somewhere, but didn't want to feel conceited or something by assuming others cared.

Well, I wish more people would post when they were going away or whatnot. Cuz we do care.

I agree with Faerie & Operator. Glory that is a great idea. Could we have a fare-the-well thread?

Hi, I'm lilybelle. Sorry to have gone missing during the holidays. Just a little depression with my son being in Iraq and us spending our first ever holidays without him. (also, troubles again with the oldest SD and I've been terribly busy watching her 3 kids all the time). I'm back posting regularly in the Maintainers Forum. I'm on plan, exercising and my weight is now down a few lbs. less than the pre-holiday season.

I do miss 3FC's when I'm away. Thanks for the concern.

Good to hear from you Rochemist. Especially the happy, healthy part. Do that and maybe the other bits will follow. If not, well you took care of the most important ones ;)

I'm fairly new around here, having just joined in January. The other night I was nosing around some really old posts, like a year ago. There were lots of different people posting then, and they just seemed so knowledgeable, successful, and interesting! Many/most of them are people that I don't see around here any more and I was wondering....what happens to people when they leave? Do they keep going down their successful path, or have they fallen off the wagon and back into old habits? I guess we don't ever know unless they tell us.

Interesting side note: I heard a blurb on NPR the other night about an internet service that you set up that you can have your email contacts and your forum friends notified if something bad happens to you. You can even arrange to send a posthumous message. Kind of goulish to think about, but in the future this kind of thing might be more and more necessary!

I think most people left because of the economy...lost their jobs (were on here at work) and can't justify paying for internet at home.

Hi everyone, THis is a great idea for a thread. I recently was missing some gals from our thread, and I sent them a personal message via 3fc, I got one to answer. IF you know their screen name, you can send them a message. It is sad when we lose touch. Especially when we are all sharing in a very personal issue.

I know having been in various types of forums / online communities over the years that I have had more than one internet friend pass. One was a very good friend and I was very glad she didn't just disappear. Her husband had her information and shared it with someone who passed it on to the rest of us.
