Default Prosac and Weight loss???

I think I'm going to start Prosac tomorrow.
I'm a little leary though. I just stopped taking Wellbutrin (after 5 days) because I had some pretty bad reactions to it.

Well, I really don't want to gain weight from a medication.
Do you think Prosac will put on some extra lbs? Or do you think it might help.
I liked the idea of Wellbutrin possibly helping.
But it just wasn't the medication for me.

I'd love to hear your stories.

Thanks!

Sarah

Hye sarahbella

I stopped taking wellbutrin about 2 months ago . I gained weigh with it and felt sleepy.

I took prozac when iIwas pregant wiht my second child becasue i had horrible depression. I feel that if he subscribed it at 5 months in utero that it is fairly safe. I stopped only becasue i got so used to it that the amount they prescribed me was keeping me up at night.

As with all drugs it has it good sides and bad sides. Just be aware of the sides affects and do not hesitiate to contact your doctor. Every drug really affects every person differently.

Good luck!! Tracy

I took welbutrin and gained weight on it, about 10#. I also took prozac for awhile and it caused weight loss in me. I also experienced the increase in energy. It is a very good medication, I hope it helps you.
