Default One week On Plan

Happy Monday

One week on plan...
I did good this weekend.. We were super busy and I really had a hard time getting enough calories in. My oldest son did a music production ..( So not something he would have ever done when he was in high school.. Had no idea he could sing and dance..lol)
So mom had to be at every show. I found myself not eating enough. Realized one day I had only had 650 calories.. Which is not a good thing.
But I am up 4 pounds this morning.. Tom decided to come a week early. I hope that is the problem..
My goal for the week is to start exercising. I really did not do well at it last week. But I am so happy to have the fist week behind me..
I guess it was great to be busy the first weekend of my new journey... No time at all to be tempted
Looking forward to another successful week.
I think I can I think I can.. I KNOW I CAN..

If you are only eating 650 calories a day, it could mean that your body is in starvation mode and is keeping hold onto every single thing you eat.

My weight always goes up with tom. I think most women do. I've had days where I didn't quite make 1200 calories, not on purpose, sometimes it just happens. I get right back to my regular calorie range the next day, 1200-1500. I didn't notice that it made a big difference, but I do lose better if I stay in the healthy calorie range.
Congrat's to you for getting through the first week. It gets easier and easier with each passing day to stay on your plan.

H8cake thanks for the congrats.. Iam thankful the first week is behind me.
I do feel like the extra weight today is because of tom. Been drinking water this am and I am running to the bathroom like crazy...
I feel sure I will be back down by the end of the week at least.

I'm not sure that's true. I mean the 24 hours we use to monitor our calories is sort of arbitrary. I'd guess if you ate 2400 calories over the course of 2 days (assuming a 1200 calorie daily goal) that it wouldn't really matter. That's totally a guess - it'd be interesting to see what JAMA says.

EDIT: Also I'm pretty sure you have to deprive yourself calorically for a fairly long period of time (like a couple weeks?) before your body goes into starvation mode.
