I am new here and thought this might be the right place to start. My name is Paula and I have recently turned 30. I am currently on the South Beach Diet (Day 3 of Phase 1) and I have about 68lbs to lose.

I have just moved back to Dorset after living in Wales for 14 months and wondered if anyone on here lived in the area who might like to get together. I am looking for someone I can go walking with and exercise with. I don't dislike exercise, but find it more enjoyable when I have someone to do it with.

OMG!! Welcome, welcome, welcome!!! I didn't even see your post til now.

Welcome to 3FC... so many of us in the 30-somethings just hang out in the Daily Chat thread and don't see the other postings right away.

You're welcome to post in the daily chat and you will find tons of support and welcomes there. :)

If you want to join in your age group you can go to the bottom of the thread and select "forum jump" and select your age group, otherwise just browse through and find someplace you find comfy and post. Most people are very open and we love to have new members!!!
Best luck on your journey!!!

Hi coffee luver and tonks.
i love coffee and harry potter too, and i'm looking for support AND i'm 33 but who's counting?
my 20's were good. they had they're ups and downs, but i want my 30's to be real good.

i have seem to have reached some sort of plateau or brick wall, and i can't seem to get my weight to go down.
It may be no coincidence, but i also can't seem to stop over eating. Could there be a correlation here? :)

anyhoo...this board has grown so much since the first time i clicked onto it. which has the drawback of me not really knowing where to fit in at.
i frequent the chicks in control, whole foods, sugar shakers and exercise forums here, but i feel like i need a home base of sorts.

my goals are to clean up my diet, get back into daily work outs, drop 40 lbs, and be happy and healthy.
starting tomorrow....like always heh heh :)

help me get past my obstacles!!!!
