Jenny KO 01-05-2009, 12:38 PM Hey Jenn I love their Balsamic Chicken In the Fresh case/aisle so good and takes only a min or 2 in the micro Greek yogurt or The TJ Brand whic I believe is European Style Let us know how it goes grneyedmustang 01-05-2009, 01:07 PM I love their Buffalo Burgers (frozen section), all natural peanut butter, roasted almonds, freeze dried strawberries, sweet potato fries, frozen all-natural blueberries, jars of pesto (next to the spaghetti sauce), and 2 buck chuck (of course :) ). They have a lot of really nice fresh produce that I love to buy. In the refrigerated section they have this 3 layer hummus dip that's really good...I could shop in there all day! Jenskihere 01-05-2009, 01:22 PM great suggestions guys! Thanks. I wanted to go armed with a list... it has been A LONG time since I have been there!! murphmitch 01-05-2009, 03:27 PM Frozen whole wheat pizza dough is great. Love the TJ Greek yogurt and almond butter too. I use the bags of Toasted Oat Bran to make my hot cereal instead of oatmeal. I don't live near a TJ but my daughter in Twin Cities does, so I always have her pick me up stuff when she's coming home for a visit. WarMaiden 01-05-2009, 04:19 PM Stuff we get at TJ's typically because it is cheaper and/or healthier and/or tastier than at the big grocery store (Safeway): -- Baby spinach -- Baby carrots -- Avocados -- Grapefruit -- Tangerines -- Whole-wheat bread -- Organic, nonfat, plain, European-style yogurt in 32 oz tubs -- Frozen blueberries -- Nuts of all kinds -- Olive oil -- Frozen shrimp -- Fish oil supplements, vitamins -- Fruit spread (like jam but it has no sugar, only fruit) -- Natural peanut butter -- Protein powder -- Ground flaxseed -- Agave syrup -- White whole-wheat flour -- Dark chocolate (huge bars of 72%) cottagebythesea 01-05-2009, 08:15 PM I love Trader Joe's and am lucky to have two in pretty close proximity. My staples are - Trader Joe's plain nonfat Greek yogurt Just The Leaves (romaine lettuce) mini bell peppers lowfat goat cheese concentrated savory vegetable broth low sodium Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup Butternut Squash Soup refried black beans nuts frozen fruits dried apricots frozen vegetables frozen shrimp Trader Joe's Green Tea w/Jasmine Trader Joe's Chamomile Tea whole wheat pasta trail mixes unsweetened vanilla almond milk Goddess salad dressing and whatever else catches my eye. ;) jenne1017 01-06-2009, 01:16 PM I also LOVE their brown rice pasta!!! Lots of great frozen fish and meats too! grneyedmustang 01-06-2009, 02:32 PM I forgot about their premade frozen brown rice packets...they're great! JerseyGirrl 01-06-2009, 03:56 PM i LOVE the TJ's taztiki(sp?) sauce. I also get the NSA fruit leather, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, dried fruits, diff. cheeses, unsweetened almond milk, salsas, and whatever else catches my eye. The one by me always has new stuff everytime I go so I'm always adding to the list. I'm actually taking a trip there tonight(if it doesn't snow). I'll post my full list tomorrow if I go. About two years ago, one opened less than a mile from where I live but I just haven't gone there yet. Other things were occupying my attention. I hope to go there soon and report back my "favorites".
