This is the brand-spanking-new exercise accountability thread for the first month of the new year. Whether you walk, run, swim, cycle, bellydance, or shred, let's start off the new year right!

Welcome to the exercise accountability thread for January 2009. This thread is to keep up accountable and keep us motivated and above all to keep us moving! All are welcome, and feel free to join the thread at any time. Some people post a goal for the month, some just keep track of what they do every day. It's not important how you do it, we just need to do it!!

I started the year off right--I kicked my own butt! :carrot:

01 - 10 min rowing machine, 10 min treadmill (at some crazy setting I hadn't tried before), 10 min stationary bike; 25 min resistance/abs, 25 min stretching/yoga.
02 - 20 min on the rowing machine and 20 min on the treadmill, both HIIT (and the treadmill program went to 10% incline :eek:); and 20 min stretching/yoga
03 - 15x200m intervals on the rowing machine; 10 min on the treadmill, 5 mph at 2% incline; then 30 min or so of resistance, 10 min of stretching
04 - Walk to the grocery store, about 15 min
05 - Bike to work and back, about 50 min
06 - Bike to work and back, about 50 min
07 - 30 min on the treadmill (2x10 min running intervals) and 45-min stability ball class
08 - 3x10-min running, with 10x1 min HIIT inervals, plus min walking; 45-min yoga class
09 - 45-min yoga class
10 - 30 min/6000 m on the rowing machine
11 - Walk to groceries, 30 min; bike to work, 25 min; 60-min stability ball class
12 - 6K on the treadmill, 5 min stretching
13 - 30 min on the treadmill, on a random setting (much more incline than I'm used to)
14 - 14 min on the bike (in the mode when you can set your target heart rate and keep it there--I like!; and 45-min stability ball class that kicked my butt...bless the instructor's cruel, cruel heart...
15 - 6K on the treadmill; 60-min yoga class
16 - 45-min yoga class
17 - 40 min or so on the treadmill, including 10 min HIIT, and 10 min screwing around trying to figure out the right setting (stupid old treadmill); 30 min strength/core
18 - 20 min on the treadmill; 60-min stability ball class
19 - 6000m on the rowing machine
20 - 30 min on the treadmill, 13 x 1 min HIIT
21 - 45-min stability ball class; 4000 metres/20 min on the rowing machine
22 - 45-min hi-low class; 60-min yoga class
23 - 45-min yoga class; 20 min on the treadmill
24 - 15 min yoga, trying a new pose. Which doesn't really count as exercise, but I'm putting it anyway
25 - 60-min hi-low class; 60-min stability ball class
26 - 45-min sculpt class; 30 min on the stationary bike
27 - 20 min on the treadmill; 60-min ashtanga class (I specify ashtanga instead of regular yoga because I am tired and sore now and am trying to feel like less of a wimp)
28 - 20-min HIIT on the treadmill; 45-min stability ball class
29 - 45-min hi-low class; 60-min yoga class (and I was the only one in class, so I had the instructor all to myself--yay!)
30 - 45-min yoga class

I love these types of threads, I am in :yes: My goal is to exercise for at least 30 minutes 4 days a week ;)
01 - 45 minutes on the wii fit, boxing, hula and step..and a little yogo :D

I workout at a gym but I also have the the 30 day shred at home as well which I will be doing everynight. I started tonight! :carrot:

I was looking for a work-out buddy so we could motivate each other, but this will work! Last year was a disaster nutrition and exercise-wise, so I'm hoping to do well this year...even if I have to do it in baby steps. My goal is to do 10 minutes on my exercise bike each weekday morning and then some other cardio in the afternoon or evening for at least 20 minutes.

01- recovering from 12/31
02 - 10 minutes exercise bike
03- 15 minutes exercise bike
04 - 25 minutes exercise bike
05- 10 minutes exercise bike and 25 minutes treadmill

I just did an hour of Aerobics/Step Aerobics, With Weights, which included warm up, cool down, push ups, sit ups, lunges, squats & stretches!!!!

This is exactly what I need!

I've worked out every day this month except for once and that was because I was exhausted.

I'll update this post as I complete my workouts!

1-16: 30 mins treadmill

1-17: 50 mins on treadmill

1-18: 15 mins on treadmill. Do NOT feel like working out at all. Grumpy as all **** too.

1-19: 35 mins on TM. Migraine all day and felt like dying.

1-20: 45 mins at 530am. If I feel any better I'll go back but I'm starting to get crampy. Another 75 mins this PM for a total of 120 mins!

1-21: 0. I was exhausted and freezing. I went to bed and slept nearly 9 hours.

I got in about 40 minutes of the Boot camp again before my DVD player started screwing up. I tried putting in the 35 minute Ab workout by BB too, and it wouldn't work at all. So I did some crunches on my resistance ball.

24 - 15 min yoga, trying a new pose. Which doesn't really count as exercise, but I'm putting it anyway

26 - 45-min sculpt class; 30 min on the stationary bike
27 - 20 min on the treadmill; 60-min ashtanga class (I specify ashtanga instead of regular yoga because I am tired and sore now and am trying to feel like less of a wimp)
