I am on day 5 of not smoking and am feeling great! Last night for the first time I completed my 4 mile walk away the lbs dvd and I attribute that in large part to quitting smoking. I was never able to complete more than a mile or two of it before! I can breathe so much better now! This morning I am feeling a bit sore and tired but motivated! I am going to attempt the 4 miles again today and am hoping for a loss this week!
Everyone is doing great, I am so proud of you all for checking in here and staying accountable! That really helps and everyone here is awesome, you all inspire me to keep going! :)

rodeogirl~ I’m lucky, when TOM hits I feel so crappy that I don’t like to eat and tend to drink TONS of water.
I made some weight watchers chicken tortilla soup last night and it is amazing! I’m sharing it with my colleagues at school today as we are starting a new thing where a few people make different healthy soups every Wednesday and share (today is the first one, so I signed up to get it out of the way).

Crockpot Chicken Tortilla Soup #2 (3 Points)
16 Ounces Chicken Breast Halves Without Skin - cubed
30 Ounces Black Beans, Canned - undrained
30 Ounces Mexican-style Stewed Tomatoes - canned
1 Cup Salsa
4 Ounces Chopped Green Chiles
14 1/2 Ounces Tomato Sauce
2 Cups Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese
Tortilla Chips
Combine all ingredients except cheese and tortilla chips into slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 8 hours. To serve, put a handful of chips into each individual bowl. Ladle soup over chips. Top with 1/4 cup cheese.
Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 248 Calories; 4g Fat (13.2% calories from fat); 25g Protein; 27g Carbohydrate; 9g Dietary Fiber; 32mg Cholesterol; 1215mg Sodium.

Oh my goodness! I just finished watching this weeks episode of TBL (I taped it) and I was shocked at the ending. I can't believe it! I am really disappointed in the other team for voting the way that they did. I don't like Joelle's attitude, sooo many people would kill for a chance to be on TBL and she acts like she doesn't really care either way. It just irritates me. I hope she gets her act together.
Who else is watching this season? So far I like Tara and Mandy they seem really determined. It is a good season!

I am also watching TBL. Yeah last week was disappointing. I am not sure who my favorite is so far this season--I am kinda rootin for both the younger guys just because they can add so much to their lives by changing now.

I'm watching TBL also and I was really mad at the end of the last episode. Joelle doesn't want to be there, so why keep her? I hope they're not "playing the game" already as I hate that part of TBL.
We had pizza last night, so I had some issues and slipped up a bit. I was really good the rest of the day though so while it killed my calorie intake, I'm just going to pick right back up today and move on...
How is everyone's weekend so far?

I have been watching TBL and was also surprised the Joelle is still there. She has no desire to be there and is not even trying. I haven't picked any favorites yet.
I have stayed on plan today. I made choc chip and pntbtr cookies for the kids today. I had one pntbtr cookie but I counted it in my WW points.
My weigh in was yesterday and I was up 1.4lbs. I wasn't happy about that, but I'm not going to let the scales rule me. My DH gave me a pep talk and that helped me to move on.
Trust the remainder of the weekend goes well for everyone.

I am down one pound but I found out why the scale wasn't moving. I was eating more fats than what I thought. Instead of eating only four fats (according to my program) I was eating 6 because the fat food I was eating twice a day counted for two fats and not one as I thought! I also hadn't been measuring too much foods out as I lost my measuring cups but I bought some new ones today and I am not eating that fat food anymore. I went grocery shopping and everything will be fine now. I will have more of a loss this week coming up. It's good now that I am below where I was more than two years ago but next week is my daughter's birthday and I was hoping to be in my 260s. Well at least I lost a pound instead of gained a pound!

It was a pretty stressful week. The surgery went great fro my son, he's healing fast and been himself since pretty much the next day. We traveled back but there was rain and freezing temps on the roads and they might have been closed the road was actually pretty good but still stressful with a few icy spots. I've also been sick since last Thursday with a head cold that just won't go away. An also confess that I was smoking since New Years but I gave that up again. I'm tired of excuses though and starting today everyday will be a good day.

It really is a big deal. I quit last year and I don't know how much I gained exactly since I didn't have a scale at the time (conveniently huh?) but I would guess 15-20 pounds came on due to my quitting. Anyway- I know how hard it is and you are doing a great job!! :hug:
Congratulations to all of our losers!! I will weigh later tonight. I use the Wii Fit so I will wait until after our company leaves!

Sounds like everyone is moving on down! Every ounce counts so don't sell yourself short if you "only" lost one pound. One pound per week is still a 50 pound loss over the year and who wouldn't want to end the year 50lbs lighter?

I am sooooooooooo happy to be back on the treadmill . I did 3.0 today for 30 min's I 'll do this for a few weeks then move up after being off track due to a compressed fracture for 15 weeks I just feel good on the treadmill.:) I still a tailbone problem when I sit for a long time but that's no getting in the way of the treadmill the dr said as long as it don't hurt to walk I'm ok . Well I hope to get a full recovery so I can go back to spin classes:D will see .Just happy to be on treadmill for now. I will get to goal!I will I WILL I will:D

Autumn19 & Nash - Congratulations on your weight loss. Keep up the good work.
Today my kids had school of because of the snow and ice storm we are getting, so that means I got to stay home. I was ready for a day off. I was able to get a 40 minute work out in doing the treadmillo, Ab ounger and lifting weights. I've been having problems with my knees, but I'm still able to workout on the treadmill.
I need to run. I have to make chocolate chip cookies for my husband to take to work. I'm going to try my best not to eat the dough which I love.

Snow day for us yesterday also which kind of messed me up, back OP today... weigh in tonight at weight watchers (my normal meeting was canceled last night, so I'm going to one in another town). Does anyone else have a cheat night or day? After I weigh in each week I pick one thing that I REALLY love and have it for dinner that night (yes, it is usually VERY evil). It usually is something Italian since my favorite Chinese dishes are actually pretty healthy.

So I gained a pound, but in a way it was a good gain, because it was my breaking point. Food is not worth throwing away all the work I have put into trying to become more active. I'm in a good place now and plan on kicking it into overdrive as of yesterday actually. I'm back to tracking, keeping a journal and wearing a pedometer. I got this. Finally. I know I will slip up on occasion, but I just need to pick myself back up and keep going. I will stand up for myself and do what I need to to get healthy. GRRRRRRRR!

I'm down another 2. :D I'm happy BUT I miss those 4-5+ losses at the beginning!! But my goal was a very reasonable 20lb loss in 12 weeks and I'm already down 11. I was a size 20 at the start of this challenge (on the verge of 18 though) and had thought I might make it to a 16 when we leave for Florida at the end of the challenge (or at the very least be an 18). Today I am confident I will be wearing that 16 when I board the plane! (Oooooh, and how much more comfy are those seats going to be? Yippee!!)

How do we chang eour goal? I mean in our head? Or do we change it back where we made the original goals? Cuz I need to change mine too, I wanted a 15 lb loss by march 29th (Becuase my weight loss had stalled and I didn't want to get discouraged with too high of a goal) but it's picked up with a vengence and I've already lost 10 lbs with plenty of time to go!

I ended up with a 2.6 lb loss this week at 305.8. I WAS down to 304.2 but water gain? I dunno. Been on track with eating so not sure what that was.

I'm just having one of those weeks, I was still sick and then slipped 3 times and hurt my back so I was laid up at home in bed for 2 days and AF came on Friday and I still managed to get my weight back down after the gain. I'm hoping his is the beginning of a trend. I've decided that I'm going to start calorie counting, the other way just isn't working for me. I've really been watching what I ate this week and will start the counting tomorrow. Also getting back to my walking after now that my back is feeling better.

Don't change your goals!
In my opinion something overweight folks tend to do is be hard on themselves. I got myself into this, I should get myself out. I lost 5 pounds? I should have lost 10.
Instead of making your goal harder, destroy your goal by coming in way early, celebrate it, then make a new goal.
If you keep moving the goal you just don't get to celebrate as much and you deserve to celebrate. How would you feel if your boss said if you finished your work early you could go home and then when you finished your work early, she gave you more work instead? Don't do that to yourself!

So my schedule has been super crazy the last few weeks, but I'm weighing in on Wednesdays again. 3.5lbs down this week! I am so excited because:

2. I'm under 250lbs!!!
It's been 2 years since I've been under 250lbs!! This is also the first "diet" I've been on that I can actually see myself continuing. YAY!

Hey girlies! Well I maintained my weight last week but didn't lose. I was disappointed but I am working on a lot. I have quit smoking which I am really proud of and this week am trying to kick it into high gear with exercise and eating healthy!

I'd like to continue with this challenge but I'm not going to weigh myself for a month, my next weigh in will be 2/13. I've been obsessing way to much with the scale and I think it will do me good to give it a break. I'll still be OP and working out but the scale is making me crazy!!!! :stress:
I couldn't wait a month...hehe. I continued to weigh myself everyday but I've chilled out about it A LOT. Stupid plateau really messed with my head but I made it through stronger and wiser.
January 4th- 202.4 (up from 12/30 at 199 but I don't want to change my tracker LOL)

Way to make it through Daniela! It can be hard to keep up a positive attitude during a plateau.
And I agree ConfessorSiuan, this thread is inspirational! I think twice about off-plan snacking because I know I'll have to post my weigh-in on the Biggest Loser thread!

Hey everyone, how are you all doing?!
I lost 1 lb this week. I feel like I am kind of stalling but I think that is mainly due to quitting smoking and not doing as well with eating as I could be.

I can't believe it...I broke the 2lb stalemate!! I lost 4lbs!!!!!!!!! I havnen't seen results like that since early in this journey!! Excercise works!! I worked out every morning Mon thru Fri this week and I'm SO happy the scale showed all my hard work! So much so that it motivated me to get those exercise clothes on and workout this morning!
Since starting this challenge I have lost 15lbs!! My goal was for 20 but I think I'm going to follow Rodeogirl's advice and not change my goal. I'll just be incredibley proud of me for exceeding it!! I do believe this calls for a dancing carrot!! :carrot:

Looks like everyone is doing great! I've decided to change my Biggest Loser goal to being at 163 (the top of my healthy BMI range) by the end of the challenge. I know this is ambitious, but I'm trying to find some motivation!!
Plus, I just can't wait until the Wii fit stops telling me "That's overweight!" in it's condescending little voice, hahaha

I might have a gain as I have been sick and my ex and I had a falling out. Not a bad one but a little one but still. We made up but I have the cold or a flu and haven't been eating for one day. I even missed a work out for one day so you know that's bad since I am now up to doing 84 workouts since January 09!

Car died this morning in the middle of one of the busiet highways! I called my husband from a payphone and as I am coming back and he pulls up the cop is behind my car. Come to find out he had called a &#@@@ tow truck to have my car towed!! What an ***! It was not even 30 minutes. He was very nasty and had no compassion whatsoever. The other cop was very understanding. Come to find out my alternator belt popped. I bought it but was so stressed. My husband took me for the part and to have my battery charged since the alterator was killing it and there was a place nearby to eat. Despite there being ham, gravy, bacon, sausage, even cheesecake and ice cream, I ate only biscuits with no butter. I was so depressed but I might have a gain there too. I missed my Saturday morning workout too. I was very upset about that because I work out every day. Today was so crappy. I just went to bed as soon as I got home and I don't even want to eat. Boy some days you are the dogs; other days you are the hydrant. :(

I didn't want to edit my previous post but wanted to add last night was such a beautiful night. Hubby and I had a great time AND the best part was that he told me that I lost more weight because he can see it in my waist! OK!! That part that has always given me trouble is my middle and it's the part of me I hate the most and he noticed my smaller waist and said he liked that. Wow!!! That was on top of him seducing me, giving me a nice back rub and an incredible time. :p So wonderful, beautiful night and sucky, awful morning.

Grrrrr....still at 252. Gained a pound last week and I guess the little sucker decided to stick around. I didn't get my exercise in this week but I did stay on plan. Got to say if eating this little means I only maintain...it sucks big time. So this week...game on...I'll be damned if I'm gonna let the # get the best of me!! I'm not ready to stall or plateau and I'm not giving up without a fight!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

So I have NO idea what I did to lose 6lbs this week but I'll take it!! For the last 2 weeks I have been stagnant and it was driving me nuts. I hurt my side and didn't exercise this week (except the once that caused it to hurt more) and still lost!! I hope it doesn't start to do this where I lose nothing for a couple of weeks and than drop a lot...I prefer to see it come off evenly but I guess we have no control over how it comes off LOL!!!
SO...on this auspicious occasion I would like to announce that I have met my biggest loser goal weight!!! I wanted to lose 20lbs and I have done it!! I had wondered if it would put me in a size 16 but it looks like that requires a little more work. Instead of setting a new weight goal for myself for the remaining 4 weeks I will set a size goal. We leave for Florida ON the 29th (my last weigh in day for this challenge) and I WILL be wearing a size 16 on that plane!!! (I can't wait to see how I fit in the seat! Last time I flew I was a 22...and it was UNCONFORTABLE to say the very least!!)
Can't wait to see how everyone else is doing! This challenge has been great for my motivation...thankyou!!

I am trying so hard not to feel really frustrated this week. I wanted to see a change in number but I got TOM this week and I haven't been able to get control of my cravings. It's been a bad eating week. But I'm still motivated, I took a weight lifting workshop last night and check out our community gym which isn't that bad and I'm committing to 2 lunches a week in there for now. Today I'm going to a Healthy Options workshop with a fitness trainer, dietician and there was supposed to be a life coach there but she couldn't make it. I'm hoping it's just the boost I need.

Almost out of the 260s and very excited about it!!!! I was blindsided by Aunt Flo Friday and it's a bad one. Seems the older I get the worst it gets. :( I did have some chips today but I had to count out the chips to get half a serving and believe me I wanted to down the whole container (Pringles are evil!!!) but I ate half a serving and I told my daughter to open them up and pour them into the garbage otherwise I really would eat the whole thing. I also have been staying away from the local bakery since my cravings are pretty strong. Still exercising despite some "slippage". I really hate this! I don't want any more kids so this should stop but you know. I want to really really really REALLY be out of my 260s because I haven't been 250 anything in more than 7 years so I am entering an exciting moment in my life right now! :carrot: I love these challenges and support on this board. It has gotten me through some really tough times!! Thank you each and everyone of you. :hug: Had it not been for this board I might have still been losing and gaining the same 10 or 20 pounds like I did a few years ago where the lowest I got to was 275. This feels amazing! :)

I haven't updated in a while...I guess the challenge thing isn't 100% for me. This challenge is the first one I joined and I don't set weight goals with dates. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm gonna finish this and not be bummed out that I'm not going to make my goal I set when this challenge started. My weight loss has slowed down but I'm still losing and that makes me happy.

I'm so happy to see it moving again! Really it's a big relief. I think in part that I got my WiiFit this week and I've been on it everyday even though I've not been doing my usual walking in the morning because the little guy has been up most of the week nights with a bad cough. I had hit a plateau and was panicking but I added calories (What! Yes!!) and the scale moved to the left. I have 7 more pounds to go before I will be at my goal which is 250. I have plans on being in my 240s when my birthday hits in late April and I know I am going to celebrate! :carrot: I am so happy I broke through that! :cool:

Only two more weeks left. I feel like we'll need another challenge after this one! It keeps me focused. I've also been joining other challenges, I' in 1 in RL and the 10,000 steps one over at the exercise board. Anyone else up for another challenge after this one.

When I signed up for this challenge I was 286 even though I cheated and weighed myself early and found out I had lost three pounds two days later. :p I weighted in this morning with bated breath and was at 254!! I wanted to lose 25 pounds and I lost more than that at 32 pounds. I am very proud and looking forward to the next challenge! I am so ready. I now have to decrease my calories since I have lost the weight that I have. No problem. Trust me I would much rather have the weight loss than the extra calories any day of the week. Thank you so very much ladies for this challenge. The support was awesome and I don't know if I would have been as successful as I have been had it not been for this board. All of you ladies are amazing and I look forward to my continuing weight loss battle with you all by my side. Thank you just isn't enough.

Wahoo!! I can't believe how fast this challenge went by!! I started at 266 I am now 237...I've lost 29lbs since we started!! My goal was 20...I'm a happy camper!!!
