I'm seriously freaking out, I set it on our computer desk last night, on top of my planner, so I'd remember to deposit it today. And it is NOT there. I called him and he remembers seeing it there too, and says he did not touch it.
I can't get over what an idiot I can be sometimes, how do I lose such important things?!!
And why doesn't his company do direct deposit, eh?!!
Take a deep breath. Look around the desk. Look in the trash can, look all around. Look in your wallet or purse just in case you put it in there. It'll be ok, you can find it.
You're right HWGA, I'm trying to stay calm, haha, I have literally looked everywhere. Well, apparently not EVERYWHERE otherwise you'd think I'd have found it by now. I even dug through the trash... ew.

I will say that my husband and I are complete airheads sometimes, a few months ago I could not find the baby wipes, and the baby had a really bad diaper so I really NEEDED the wipes. I ended up using a washcloth (and threw it away... haha!) and later found the wipes IN THE FREEZER! My husband put them in the freezer without thinking about it! what the heck?!! I'm hoping this paycheck dilemma is something like that, and I'll find it in a really unusual place but that I WILL find it, preferably TODAY!
If you can't find it, the payroll department can put a stop payment on it and issue another one. This sometimes take a few days to do all of this but it's better than not having it at all.
Is it in the freezer? Haha! Can you remember what you were doing the last time you saw it, that usually helps me find things I'm looking for. Did it blow off the computer desk and fall behind it or something?
Hopefully it'll pop up sooner than later. Is it behind the TV? Not that there's any reason for that, it's just a random place you wouldn't think to look really.
Thanks for the suggestions of places to look, ladies. It's in none of them, unfortunately. but I did look! I just got done turning over all the couch cushions and looking under all the furniture as well. It HAS to be here somewhere, right!
LOL!!!!!!! Darlin' you are not the only one. I've lost my keys for hours only to discover that i've been *holding* them in my hand for god knows how long.
There was also the time I put my glasses in the oven, or didn't notice when my cat jumped into the fridge and I closed the door on him. I don't understand why I do things like that.
Did you check under your bed? Those thieving house gnomes that always misplace my stuff (and stop time in order to place my keys in my hand, i'll reckon) usually put things there.
