DONNA! (((HUG))) When I saw your username on the Food and Points forum, I said to myself, "Isn't that the Donna I know?" I figured there could be only ONE Gamester Girl!!! ;) Welcome back! Its always good to see an old cutie! So....<making myself comfortable>...what have you been up to? Did you know that I've become a grandmother? Yep...first one...she will be two this month! I can't believe you still have that picture...is it that group picture of a bunch of us when some cuties came to my home? Gosh...it is soooo good to see you again!
Sharon, you are going to have to learn to take breaks at work! You and I haven't even exchanged many emails during the day!
Joyce, good luck today when you weigh-in! :D
As I told y'all yesterday I was going to go over to see Amanda. I missed her so much! I hadn't seen her in a week! And I did go over and I had a good time playing with her and talking to my daughter. SIL was working. And I ended up eating dinner over there...and yes, we were OP.
And yes, I was OP yesterday and banked 4 points. Yaaaaay me!

Good Morning PINKIES!
I'm exhausted this morning. I took ds to get his hair cut and colored. Ended up only getting it cut. Thank Goodness or I would have been away longer. It's going to be a yucky rainy day here too!
Joyce/Gail - My girl scout uniform was in a chubby size. But I still couldn't fit into it now.
Sharon - I don't know how you do it. It sounds as if you're exhausted by the end of the day and you have that 2 hour drive home. Yuck! Hope you get plenty of rest in the evening. We'll always be here, you know where to find us.
Donna - Welcome! I think I remember your name. Did you get an answer to your Chicken Whopper question. I was told that the regular Chicken Whopper was just like the BK Broiler, which would be 8 points. I figured the Jr. one would be 5-6 points. Restaurant Management huh? Bet you'll make sure there is a low-fat menu!
Gail - How was the little one last night? Lots of hugs and kisses?
Emmy - Don't you just hate the rushin' feeling. I always feel like I'm rushin' and when I get done with whatever made me feel that way there's always more left to do. Have a good day.
Ok, first day of the challenge under our belts. How'd we do? I managed to bank 1.5 points last night. WhoHoo! I'm having a "lazy" fruit and yougurt parfait this morning....jump dumped everything in instead of layering it.
I'll be back........................later.

Good Morning
Well, OP day yesterday. I even ended up 1 point below my minimum and just didn't want anything else. Today is weigh in. I know I lost, we'll just have to see how much, I hope it's at least what I gained two weekends ago. I figured out I averaged 29 points a day this last week, and I ended up with 15 banked points left over. (If you haven't guessed, I like messing with numbers in my ww excel table. My own little numbers game.)
Donna - I remember your name gamestergirl. Welcome to the PFC. Restaurant management sounds like a good deal - it would be wonderful to find a restaurant that had a ww as manager!!
emmy - I hope you have a good day and get to slow down. See you later. Let's see 9pm in the east is 7pm here. So maybe I will see you later.
Gail - So glad that you got to see your little princess!!! And you got to stay OP.. I must be kinda fun to have your daughter OP too. That way, no excuses. Did you get enough juicy kisses to last a few days?
Christine - Now that you mention it, my uniform was probably a chubby size too. Good for you for banking points yesterday. I guess I'm old. I can't get used to kids wanting to dye hair and pierce ears, let alone all the other things they pierce now. When my kids wanted to pierce their ears, our first reaction was not good. But with time we got used to it, figured they were good kids and this wasn't the end of the world.  I'm just too old fashioned, I guess.
I Have realized that sometimes I get long-winded in my responses. I have also figured out that there are some days, you gals are the only women I talk to all day long. My little world is all men - dh, 3 sons, boss, and all the scientists I do computer work for, all men. There are some women in Admin but I don't see them much. And a few women scientists, but I don't work with them either. <sigh>
Well, I guess I better get to work.... Got lots of computer stuff to work on.

PFC Good morning...Can I yell? I HATE DENTIST'S!! Sorry.. Still in pain, just got off the phone and "they said, "I should have PAIN!" NOT  Take 3 advil and call me in the morning.........ggggrrrrrr:s:
Ok, I'm over it, sorry... I was OP last night, at the max, but I OP. Got home (didn't have to work), Grumpy just sits and watched TV, so I went to Boscov's to have my card stamped (for free stuff). Then went to Gaint to get a salad, WW frozen meals (which are on sale 4-$5) and I found Skinny Cows :moo: Not sure how much they are, so I didn't eat one last night.
Welcome Donna Come back soon, you will get to know me as we go along. I have been posting alittle under 1 year. Met Gail last June and I work with Christine. Started changing my eating habits in Oct/Nov and joined WW in Jan. I have a hard time with the program, since I work 3 jobs and do things with my 2 grandkids. Welcomene again, hope to see you soon.
Emmy Sounds like you have long days... looking forward to seeing you later.. Hope the boys are doing good and you too. :dizzy:
Gail Way to go girl. I know what you mean about evening and being OP. I have a hard time when I'm at home and Grumpy is there too, just want to eat... Glad to see you had a good time with Amada. Will they be moving out of their house soon?
Sharon Hope you have a better day today and can take a break and join us for some icy cold water... Take a break and let us know how you're doing.
Joyce Good luck with WI, I will have mine next week, none this week... good thing, cause I know I gained :ink: Ok, I am trying... so hard...
Christine I guess we can't walk today.. it's raining cats and dogs out! I got my lunch today... Is it time to go home, tired of pain.. ok, I won't go there... :o
Judy Post to us when you can
Ok, I need to go get my water for the day...

Its a good day for ducks here! It was thundering and lightening on my way to work this morning...y'all should've seen me trying to juggle an umbrella, a purse, my carry-all, and a container of coffee...and dodging puddles that had turned into rivers! But I made it from my car to the building without getting my hair wet. I hate getting my hair wet in the morning after I've already styled it. Anyway...I'm here...and glory be...I don't have that much work on my desk this morning; however, that is subject to change...
Joyce, again good luck this morning and it is fun playing with the numbers! You banked 15 points this week?! I am in awe! Good job! <high-five!> THAT in itself is an awesome accomplishment! Yes, it was easy staying OP at her house--for one thing she needed to go to the grocery store! Seriously, she fixed me a Morning Star Chicken (read vegan) Patty (3 points) on a multigrain bun (2 points) and some sliced cucumbers. Oh yeah...got a lot of kisses...of course the little munchkin was teasin' me when I arrived--I asked her for a kiss and she said NO and laughed at me! Seriously, she was laughin'...but she did end up giving me kisses. Long-winded? You? Naaaah! <chuckle> Shucks, y'all know more about me than the friends I have that live close by! Y'all might even know more about me than my own mother!
Christine, okay...now tell me what color was Justin going to get his hair colored? :s: A really inexpensive way to color his hair would be to use cherry kool aid...without sugar...the small packet...dilute it with water in a pitcher...that was what my youngest did when she was in the 8th grade--it was a hoot! Laughed so hard! Of course, I threatened her with bodily harm if she spilled any of that in my WHITE bathroom! Actually, she did a pretty good job of it. <high-five!> on banking points last night! :D I knew you could do it! :D
Okay Judy, you've got to get your butt back in here and let us know about Sam and how Preston greeted Sam, etc. :s: We want to know!
Pat, okay...where ya at?
GailR
05-02-2002, 09:28 AM
<bump!>
There you are Pat! :s: You were in here all along! Those skinny cows are 2 points--the vanilla, chocolate, mint, and strawberry are 2 points and the caramel ones are 3 points. Good price on the frozen WW entrees. I stock up also when Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, and Weight Watchers are on sale. They are so expensive otherwise! And being at maximum points is good too--that is why we have a daily point range. GOOD JOB! :D If all goes well, my daughter, sil, and gd will be moving out of their old house at the end of June. The new house will not be ready until October.

Joyce - If you think about it those chubby clothes were called that weren't they. I can remember wearing a 14 chubby and a 16 chubby. Geez, wonder what they call them now. I certainly hope they are still called chubby! Banking 15 points in your tracking week is wonderfuly. It's an accomplishment that you should shout about and be very proud of. Hope you have a GREAT WI today!
Pat - The skinny cows are 2 points a piece. Unless....I think the mint ones or is it the PB ones are 3 points. But if you have the vanilla ones they are 2 points a piece. And they are soooooooo good! But stop at just one, they are addicting.
Gail - Sounds like you had a good dinner last evening with sloppy kisses for dessert. Justin was going to have the top of his hair highlighted. Koolaid coloring would never show up in his hair as it is extremely dark brown bordering on black. Dan's hair is black and he's taking after he father. He ended up getting it cut only. His hair grows so fast that I have to have it cut every 4 weeks it seems.
Ok, I MUST get some work done. But...................
Judy - I hope you're having a GREAT time! I love happy endings. Let us know how things are going.

Hello PINKIES!!
I have about 10 minutes before I'm out the door for my 1-9 shift, and I still have to do my makeup and pack my supper, but I just had to stop in at the PFC.
I can see now that I'm not really going to get many opportunities to check in with y'all for the next little while, but I'll try....I'll grab a few minutes here and there when I can. Once Sam has been here for a little while the novelty of yakking constantly will wear off and I'll have a little free time. Right now she's gone to Blacksburg with Teri and a friend to do a little shopping. I hope she doesn't spend all her money in one day...she'll get carried away cuz she thinks all the prices are so cheap here compared to back home. (Which they truely are!) :smug:
We went to the chinese buffet last night and I did really good! We were doing way too much talking! There were a total of 10 of us all together (more friends joined us). We all had such a good time. Sam was smiling and chatting and was very impressed with the quality of food. I passed on dessert but had a spoonful of Sam's banana pudding.
I wasn't here when she met Preston for the first time, I was at work :( but they told me all about it. She just loves him! He gave her hugs and kisses. He can't pronounce Aunt Sam...it comes out sounding like AweSome. She LOVES that nickname.
Hippy Hippy Shake dance to everyone staying OP and doing so well! I wish I could post to everyone individually but I really have to get moving.
Love you all!
OH I almost forgot! Welcome Donna! :D
I'll talk with you PINKIES again as soon as I can!

Sharon - Glad you got to stop long enough to peek in. When do things start slowing down for you. Or do they?
Pat - I've got to go look for those desserts. Let us know how they are and the points of course.........
Well, I've got my 80 hours in for this pay period. I am leaving and won't be back til Monday morning at 6am. :D I'm going to ww. Then I hope I can get to Sam's Club. They have a few things that I haven't found anywhere else.

Joyce, things won't slow down until August for maybe a couple of weeks. There is just a lot of stuff happening and the new boss is really nit picking everything to death. Not relying on our experience from the past. She has been here for 2 years, I have been here for 16years and my partner for about 12. I respect change but she isn't hearing us.

Ok, PFC we have several thunderstorm warning and Tornado Warnings till 9pm. Starting in West Virginia all the way up to New England... I know we need rain, but not all this wind and hail with it... This has started to be a very scary summer.... :s:
Sharon
05-02-2002, 03:27 PM
You don't usually get tornadoes there do you? It is scary. That tornado in Maryland. We are also starting to see some minor tornado's here and that is one thing we don't get. Our earthquakes are enogh.

05-02-2002, 03:29 PM
I don't think so Sharon, I have only lived here in PA 7 years, but I know growing up in Minnesota, we had them all the time. In fact one summer when I was in Arizonia visiting my brother, we had two, one North of the farm and one South of the Farm. I use to hate them, and would head to the basement.

Thanks Sharon, I have to work tonight at Disney. The one I worry about is my friend Mike, who has a farm and they had one go thru there last week, infact it one the same one that hit Maryland. Of course I worry about Christine too, she lives out in the country side too, and has 1 hour drive home. The are calling for high winds and hail this afternoon. She is on her way home now..... Gail, did you have the same warning in your area...

Are you in the path of a tornado also?
GailR
05-02-2002, 04:42 PM
Yeah...<shudder>...Right before we moved into the house we're in now, one of the houses on my street a small tornado touched down and caused their chimney to come down in their front yard. You could see the path that the tornado took on the golf course...and THAT was right behind where my house was to be built.

Gail, It's a big one and looks like a bad one coming. Get home and be safe tonight. I hate them too.
They are saying the storm is in York county right now, which is about 30 miles South of Harrisburg, not good. I am off to work at the mall... :o
If it's not storming when I get home, I will post to let everyone know that I'm ok, but if it's stroming out, I don't get onto my computer, it got fried one time by lightening, don't need that again... :(

I hope all you gals are okay. Tornados scare me - but then who wouldn't be.
I weighed in, -1.8. We had show and tell fashion show at ww today. Fun. Several men showed how many notches they've moved up on their belts. One woman, down about 71#, showed her skirt. She can't put it on cuz it won't stay up. LOL The leader talked about making a list of affirmations to look at all the time. "I am a good person" "I have a good body" Nothing with "I will" or "I will try". But positive statements that start with "I am" and "I have". Interesting concept because I am always hard on myself. So I am going to try this.
Sharon - Sounds like they could actually have work for another person. My boss likes to try to hire a summer student to help us get caught up. Last year, I think I spent more time after she left cleaning up mistakes. He didn't get around to it in time this year, thank goodness ;)
I have to go get a big salad made for dinner. I'm at 17 points.
salad with dressing and croutons for 4/21
2 1 point hot dogs with tortilla for 4/25
Skinny Cow+strawberries+choc topping for 4/29
I haven't had enough water today. I will drink some more but not too much - don't wanna be up half the night
Again - hope you all are alright.

Ladies, I'm home. I touched down here at the house for about 35 minutes and then left again for a ball game. We didn't have anything like the storms that they described was coming but heard the warning for York on the radio on the way home. We had beautiful sunny weather the whole way home. However right now it's extremely windy outside.
I don't have time to post individually right now. But I'll re-read before I post tomorrow. I'm sorry, I'm just really really bushed about now.
Oh, one more thing when I go to bed here in a few minutes.....I'll have banked 5 points. I'm OP!

Hope everyone has had a great day and I hope you are all safe and sound. We have been under Tornado watch and then warning since about 3pm...I think it is to end at 9or so. I had to do a Job Fair this morning and a Health Fair this afternoon/tonight. Lightning followed me all the way home from Richmond. NOT FUN!!! Yes ...some days I work long hours ...today was 12 and tomorrow will probably be another 12. We are hosting a breakfast for our town's EMS and Firemen and it really is a lot of fun. This is our 3rd year doing it...so we have been appreciating them BEFORE 9/11 but the meaning is even more special now. For those of you that don't know I work in marketing for a nursing home and these guys are really good to us.I have ordered a flower arrangement in a hook and ladder firetruck container to use as a centerpeice and we will give it away. I have also bought little firetrucks and rescue vehicles and fire hats with sirens to decorate with and believe it or not they will want to take them home.Enough about me...
JUDY.... Sunds like you are on cloud 9 with Sam there...way to go at the Chinese Restaurant!! Was it a buffet??? I jate those I ALWAYS WANT to try and eat my money's worth and well you just can't do that....it is worth more to be OP ....that is my mantra this time around!! Sounds like it is yours too...and of course staying busy TALKING helps alot:D
GAIL.... Glad to hear ya made it into work without getting your hair wet....Ihate it when that happens. I think it is so great that you and your daughter are doing this together and it's gotta make it easier when you are visiting . How was that vegan burger??? I have not gotten up the nerve to try them.
CHRISTINE.... Did you make it home ok? I sure do hope so. My ds needs a haircut too. He had been on a kick to dye his hairBLUE!!! I am talking about the 13 year old. I had promised him awhile back that if he made the Honor Roll I would let him( his grades had been terrible from lack of trying and NOT turning in homework...so I thought I was pretty safe that he would get at least 1 C) HA ...he pulled out mostly A's and a couple of B's. Fortunaely tho he decided that he would rather join in with his brother and get a GameCube and a game...WHEW!!! I will remember Gail's KoolAid idea for another time...these teeenagers...gotta love them?!?!?!
PAT.... I guess you are at Disney tonight...don't work too hard. There is some water cooling for you. I am so sorry that you have been hurting....I HATE dentists...I think they are all well...I just can't say what I think....so I will say that I hope you are better and that you don't have to go back anytime soon. Ihope Mike made it through the storms ok. Do you hear from him often? Do you guys date? I gather from your posts that you share a place with someone named "Mr. Grumpy"???
Gotta go for now but I will be back...DH needs the computer...darn it and I was on a roll too....

Hey everyone!
Finally got a chance to post...
Had a test in Microeconomics today - not feeling very confident about it. Finals start in about two weeks, graduation, and then...it's over! Summer vacation! (I have a whole month until the kids are out of school)
With my TOM on the way, my first week back is proving to be difficult. I finshed with my points a while ago. I'm trying to reverse bank from yesterday - 10 points need to be made up by the end of Sautrday. It shouldn't be a problem but hormones are raging...or churning...yeah, churning...I feel some definite churning... :ink: (Feeling a bit bloated...)
Gail - I remember when your granddaughter was on her way and when you made the announcement of her arrival! How old is she now? Having fun spoiling her?
Emmy and Christine - my ds (age9) has been after me for a couple of years to let me dye his hair black. He's fair skinned, blonde blue eyed. I told him No Way and that when he's 18, graduated, and moved out (Yes, all three criteria must be met) Then he can do it...Of course when I was at that age, I was putting red and blue streaks in my hair - hey, it was the 80's...
Gonna go turn in soon...school tomorrow (Fighting the urge to ditch and head over to Salem for the day instead) :s:
See you later!

JOYCE... That is great about the -1.8..that is almost 2 pounds!! You are doing so well!! That is so interesting about the "fashion show" I need to remember to save some (but not too many) of my big clothes...well when they get that way...
SHARON.... Sorry about your boss....sounds like things are really busy where you work too. WHat kind of work do you do?
DONNA.... Hope you did well on your test. How much longer do you have to go to school? I had to laugh at what you said about your ds....mine also teases me about wanting a tatoo...on THAT one I tell him he can do it after he buries me...cuz I don't want to know!! I also tell him that if he were to do it...the laser I would get to REMOVE it would hurt more than getting the tatoo..LOL
Well I'm watching ER one of the few shows that I watch...so sad about Dr. Greene. I love this show...so let me run!

Emmy - - I grauate on May 29th at 9:30 am.m - who has a graduation scheduled on a Wednesday?!?
Main problem I'm having with that is - who gets the grad tickets? We're only allowed 4. Ok, my kids (7&9) can't be alone...my Mom and Dad - divorced and my Dad can't stand being near my Mom...her boyfriend(who we like better than my Mom)...my two sisters (who have helped out with babysitting during vacations and emergencies) Now...who gets the tix? We were told we could put our names on a list for extras - I figue I'll need another three (won't even think about trying to get some for my MIL and FIL)
Another thing...
I was going to throw a graduation party for myself, my mother said I could use her yard, and had already reserved an inflatable waterslide and everything. My two sisters also have children graduating from HS, I thought it would be a good thing to try to combine them. Forgetting of course that one sister "wrote off" my mother (Let's just say, my mom wasn't a very nice person...) anyway, I mentioned to my mother about it at first she had no problem...then a few days later called and insisted that she ask her for permission. I told her (after thinking it over) that I couldn't do that. I invited her not the other way around. I apologized for over-stepping(which I agree that I did do.) but I couldn't take back the invitation to do that it would stir up too much animosity and make things worse. She insisted. So, after thinking it over, I decided not to have a party after all. Told Mom that I just didn't have the money for it. (Knowing that my other sister told her the real reason why.) Mom let me know she knew the real reason why but I let her know that the reason I said was the reason I was giving. I felt that I couldn't have it anywhere else - it would feel like I was choosing one over the other...couldn't do it.
So, I shot myself in the foot and can't celebrate my degrees and certificates (I'll have two of each) the way I wanted. My sister that has the problem with my mother doesn't even know this has happened - I wouldn't tell her. Found out she's rented a hall for her daughter's party. Figures.
Sorry to ramble...tired, I guess...I'll take the cue and REALLY go to bed now
Good-night...
Donna

I'm home, tried the skinny cows in the dixie cups and they are good. Will have to pick-up a pack of the skinny cows sandwiches to compare. They are 2pts. I enjoyed them.
Joyce-Hi 5 with 1.8 loss... great for you. I am afraid of my WI in next week. The fashion show sounds like it was fun. I have so pants I can't wear anymore and it's a great feeling.
Emmy-12 hours days are long, working the part-time jobs, makes my days long too..8-10, sometimes we get out at 9:30pm.. Emmy, Mr. Grumpy (Thom), well to me he is only a housemate, been living together for 7 years, but it ended 5 years ago. He still thinks we are bf/gf...but in my eyes, NO. For Mike, I met him on the inter-net last Nov and we have been e-mailing since. Met him about 6 times, the last 3 times at his place. Not sure what's going on. He is inbetween jobs right now, and I think he gets himself depressed and too much of macho man to ask for help or get close, also very bitter about his ex. He has 3 boys, oldest in college, (2nd year), middle one lives with Mom, didn't cut the grades, so dad said he had to improve or move out, which he did and the youngest is 15, living with him. Involved in all kinds of sports, so evenings and weekends he is a taxi driver for his son. The oldest will be home for the summer. Lives 25 north of me, on a small country setting with 3 horses, dog, cats, very nice area. Sorry for rambling. Right now Mike is working on a tree farm and comes home beat, so I am lucky to hear from him once a week. But there most be something there, cause we have been e-mail for 7 months now. Only time will tell.
