Angry Losing inches (I think) but not lbs..Need advice!

I am having a very annoying plateau and I can't deal! I haven't lost a lb since our first WI during our 20-something BL competition (almost 3 weeks!) My pants are looser so I think I am losing inches but I just don't know why the scale isn't budging! I typically eat about 1200-1400 calories/day and work out 35-65 min/day with tae bo or treadmill and sometimes 30DS also.

I even tried a few days eating much less calories and that didn't work. And I tried eating more and that didnt' work either! How do you deal with the plateau?

And has anyone started to lose lbs after a plateau? How long did your plateaus last????
Help me please!

I reached a plateau like that awhile ago and actually found increasing my calories slightly - I had been eating around 1200 -1300 so I upped it to 1500 -1600 - and adding more strength workouts to my routine saw the scales start to drop again.

Not as quickly BUT my body fat percentage plummeted You could even see my abs! I had dropped a further 6 or 7 pounds but went down a full dress size pretty much from toning.

Unfortunately I got a little comfortable after that and gained a few kilos back -sigh- hence being here again and doing it all over lol.

Without knowin your height and weight, I don't know if you are eating the right amount of calories. If you have lost 8 pounds total I wouldn't say you are on a plateau. It typically happens much longer into the weight loss process.

You should talk to Here we go again. She's coming off of a long plateau but has lost an amazing amount of inches. She'd be a great person for advice!

Don't get discouraged! Plateaus are a normal part of weight loss. Right now, since your exercising regularly, you are most likely building muscle and burning fat. Your losing inches because muscle is leaner than fat, but your not losing pounds because muscle is also heavier than fat.
Just keep with it!
Right now your in the process of building muscle, which will eventually turn your body into a fat and calorie burning machine. You will start to lose weight again, and it should be a little easier to keep what you lose off.

Good luck!
