I don't know if anyone watches family guy, but Stewie did a version of this on the show, it was equally entertaining.

Yeah I gotta hand it to him for that!

Sometimes I see him in this Indian restaurant in Studio City CA (Gunga Din for you locals!) and my BIL who was with us said, could that toupee look any more fake? Only if it had a chin strap! But I think that's all part of his act now. He's for sure laughing all the way to the bank!

Oh Lord. That's older than dirt. I think I first saw it in the late 70s or early 80s? I don't remember exactly when. Leonard Nimoy put out an album, too, that is better off forgotten.

But you gotta hand it to Shatner - he is willing to mock himself and laugh at himself. And he's making a pretty penny doing it.

.

I remember when Shatner did his album - I remember videos on tv with him in a black jacket, black shirt, the same style as this rocket man. I saw an interview at the time and he swore that he fell off a horse and hit his head right before going into the studio to record these... Yeah, right... Guess he couldn't use that excuse for this performance at the SciFi awards!

I have Leonard Nimoy's recording on vinyl upstairs... Don't listen to it, keep it for the reminder of why some people just shouldn't be allowed to sing.
