Default I should have known better!

This one girl in my night class always brings junk food to class (donuts, pizza, cookies), and tonight she brought two big boxes of oversized cookies from the Dunkin Donuts across the street.

Usually I can resist, but tonight I was really hungry, and it's the last night of class, so I figured one oatmeal-raisin cookie wouldn't be so bad... I'd calorie-count it as two cookies, ~150-200 calories...

WRONG!!!

For accuracy's sake, I looked it up on their Web site, and let me tell you, that ONE large cookie had 480 CALORIES. No martini tonight for me, lol. I gotta skimp for the rest of the evening.

But it gets worse -- at least I didn't pick the chocolate chunk cookie (520 calories) or the peanut butter cookie (590 calories)! Why on earth would they sell a cookie that has more calories in it than a Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese??? Are they trying to make us fat?

YES! yes, they are trying to make us fat! Its all a conspiricy.

I loathe cookies from bakeries too. But, the good thing about cookies is if you make them yourself they can be good and good for you.

Oh wow! It's so unfair that one cookie has to contain so many calories. I have a friend who is a real health nut but still likes her sweets. She decided that she would only eat sweets that she makes. That way she can control the quality of ingredients, size and healthiness of the sweets. I think that this is a great rule to have. There are always ways to make something (even a cookie!) a little bit healthier

It's a weird contradiction: Our country causes obesity and then complains about the burden it causes. Who knows...

Don't beat yourself. Going hungry can cause us to make bad choices. What matters is getting back on track as soon as possible!

YOU CAN DO IT!!

That is so true! Also I agree that we all have bad days. It the choice we make after that bad day that is important. I know many times I have had a bad day that turned into a few bad months
