Talking Another first ten off sucess...

Well, I just got off my Wii to see what my weight change is... 1.5 pounds! I can officially say that I have lost my first ten pounds by just trying not to eat pasta, go out to fatty fast food places (thanksgiving was an exception) and be careful what i eat late night. Funny though, I just had half a large chocolate milkshake a couple days ago and STILL I lost this much... maybe my wii is on the fritz... haha I also haven't really been doing much in the world of exercise so imagine how much I'd lose if I did?

Today is my 27th day since I started this whole thing and signed up here... but TODAY is day one where I put all my video games away (give them to a friend to hold) and do at least 15-30 minutes of exercise before playing (which I will have to prove to her I did by pulling up my WiiFit chart) which is sort of an oxymoron since WiiFit is video games...

Anyways, 10 gone! Never to be seen again!!!

Arthwen1985 Great job! That is impressive to lose that much in a month. I just set my first mini goal to lose 7 pounds by the New Years.

Do you like the Wii fit? I am trying to decide if I should join a gym or just get something like a Wii and some videos.

Well, think about it first...

Which would be more beneficial and inexpensive... A gym membership, or Wii and videos?

Which do you think you'd use more? Do you have children who may want to play the wii? Should you invest in it if you are just going to get one game for it?

I love it when I can get motivated to actually DO it. haha

I don't have any kids but I do have a boyfriend (which is almost the same )

It seems like it would be fun and I have to be honest I am a little nervous about working out infront of other people, especially fit ones.

Then the wii is for you.

Good luck finding it... and be ready to pay about 500$ for one...

~250-300 for the wii itself
~100 for WiiFit

Then any accessories you want like an extra controller and whatnot...
I recommend getting the charge station for the controllers... Saves LOTS of money on batteries.

Oh, and if you want to do this, start looking for the wii and wiifit now! I mean it! It took me FOREVER to find one... and with Christmas coming up... I bet it'll be worse. haha

My boyfriend doesn't know it yet but he's getting Wii fit for Christmas from his mother and I'm more excited then he is going to be. When I was 16 I lost 40 pounds with DDR and now I'm ready for the next generation. Congrats on your weight loss, that is awesome! I'm only loosing about 4 pounds a week so I'll be lucky to hit 16...but I'd be movin a lot faster if I could get that one extra pound a week in there! XD Best of luck!!
