S/C/G: 302/ticker/215

Height: 6'1"

Default Time to hold myself accountable--- shamefully returning to 3fc after a hiatus

See how conveniently I disappeared while I gained back THIRTY pounds in 6 months????

Okay---- we are starting this over again.... I am at 284.2 as of my official Friday weigh in today...

Top weight was 302.4
Current Weight: 284.2

Lost so far: 18.2pounds... 11 months so far and that is ALL... sad, Jen, really sad---

I WAS down to 254 at the end of may 2008... I gained THIRTY pounds back in 6 months--- that is just SICK...
Time to re-evaluate and GO TO IT!!!

Ultimate Goal: 200 pounds

Lose 10 pounds (275 lbs) by 12/26/08
Lose 20 pounds (265 lbs) by 1/30/09
Lose 30 pounds (255 lbs) by 3/5/09
Lose 40 pounds (245 lbs) by 4/10/09
Lose 50 pounds (235 lbs) by 5/15/09
Lose 60 pounds (225 lbs) by 6/19/09
Lose 70 pounds (215 lbs) by 7/24/09
Lose 85 pounds by 9/18/09--- average of about 2 pounds per week -- 200 pounds!!!!

At least that's the plan... I've seen how far plans got me thus far!!! It's just so sad b/c I was doing REALLY well and not starving and I lost close to 50 pounds in 5 months..... what the HECK did I do to myself??? And I knew every time I ate something I shouldn't... I just couldn't stop!!!!

You see the problem there, right? That's not a plan, it's a goal. It's the plan that will get you there

Back!

And good grief, throw shame out the window!

I found a quote today that I think applies... "People don't plan to fail... they fail to plan." ... Just take things slow and you'll get there!

Jen - why do we do this to ourselves?

You are back - you are lighter than you were the last time you started, and you have learned a whole bunch of life lessons.

I started back in 2003 - and I have finally gotten the information I needed into my brain and my life, and, for today only, I am on plan.
Yesterday, not so good, the day before, awesome.
I'm learning that the goal is to establish good habits, accept that sometimes I will fall short of my goals, forgive myself, and begin again as soon as possible.

Here I am, 60 yrs old, and it finally makes sense to me, down at the bottom of my soul, that every bite counts. That my knees don't hurt so much when I exercise regularly, and that losing weight is making them feel better.

I may forget, but I've had a year of good eating and good moving that my body is grateful for.

Must remember ... Must remember ... must remember

Jen! Hey! I wondered where you went

Welcome back!

Hey, don't be too hard on yourself. I gained back 23 pounds in less than 3 months. I am back down 9 now, but still, ugh.

Let's get this weight off, shall we?? We can do it!

Hi Jen, I'm glad to see your smile on here again! Don't beat yourself up over the gain, it never helps to do that. It sounds like you have some great goals set. Just carry on from here, you can do it!

You are one step closer to your goal just by coming back. Don't beat yourself up over the gain. You can and WILL get to your goal.

Good to see you again Jen.

Glad to see you're headed back in the right direction, after a slight (though VERY common) detour. Every excess pound you've gained - is one you can lose. You know exactly what needs to be done, as you've done it before. You can (and WILL) do it again.

We've all been there. The great thing about life is that you can always restart over and over. There aren't a limited number of tries

Welcome back!

Default Hey Jen:)

I pull a disappearing act from 3FC way too often. I'm the naughty Sandi... Or Sandi K.. Whatever works! I've been back for a little while, just not posting yet. I have finally decided to actively try to lose the weight that is holding my life and plans in limbo. I think I'd be lying to myself if I said I've tried before. I'm doing great though. I track daily on The Daily Plate, which I've found to be an incredible source of information. I've lost 10 pounds in November, just from counting my calories, watching my sodium & fat, increasing proteins, and drinking my water! No exercise yet. The family Xmas gift is the Wii, and I can't wait to get Wii Fit!!

Glad you're back. Stick around (you & me, both!!!)
