You are back - you are lighter than you were the last time you started, and you have learned a whole bunch of life lessons.
I started back in 2003 - and I have finally gotten the information I needed into my brain and my life, and, for today only, I am on plan.
Yesterday, not so good, the day before, awesome.
I'm learning that the goal is to establish good habits, accept that sometimes I will fall short of my goals, forgive myself, and begin again as soon as possible.
Here I am, 60 yrs old, and it finally makes sense to me, down at the bottom of my soul, that every bite counts. That my knees don't hurt so much when I exercise regularly, and that losing weight is making them feel better.
I may forget, but I've had a year of good eating and good moving that my body is grateful for.
Hi Jen, I'm glad to see your smile on here again! Don't beat yourself up over the gain, it never helps to do that. It sounds like you have some great goals set. Just carry on from here, you can do it!
Glad to see you're headed back in the right direction, after a slight (though VERY common) detour. Every excess pound you've gained - is one you can lose. You know exactly what needs to be done, as you've done it before. You can (and WILL) do it again.
I pull a disappearing act from 3FC way too often. I'm the naughty Sandi... Or Sandi K.. Whatever works! I've been back for a little while, just not posting yet. I have finally decided to actively try to lose the weight that is holding my life and plans in limbo. I think I'd be lying to myself if I said I've tried before. I'm doing great though. I track daily on The Daily Plate, which I've found to be an incredible source of information. I've lost 10 pounds in November, just from counting my calories, watching my sodium & fat, increasing proteins, and drinking my water! No exercise yet. The family Xmas gift is the Wii, and I can't wait to get Wii Fit!!
Glad you're back. Stick around (you & me, both!!!)
