Okay today is my challenge...I'm going to a luncheon/meeting type thing. I signed up for the pasta bar as I thought that would be my safest bet: 1 cup pasta and 1/4 cup sauce, tossed salad, salad dressing on the side, I'll have to stay away from the garlic bread and the dessert table. I can do this! :D

Morning All! You know I'm glad yesterday is over. It was tough fighting to stay within my points. I'll keep myself together today because tomorrow is WI. I just had a PB sandwich for breakfast and now I'm sitting here eating some lucious sweet strawberries. Yummy.

Gail - Sounds like you've got a plan. Wasn't it Judy who said something about loving a plan? I thought when I read that about the A-Team. Not only do I love a plan but...."I love it when a plan comes together!". ROFL Said in my best immitation of "BA".

Yes it's an icky icky day here too. Just started raining. I made it to the building on time. Hopefully it'll clear off because Justin has a game tonight. He pulled a muscle in his back and I don't think he should plan but he insists. <sigh>

Sure wish you could send some of that rain out here!! Sure could use it. I guess some the plants only have about 10% of the moisture they should have. Snow pack in the mountains is very low meaning not enough runoff for the farmers and ranchers :eek: That fire is still out of control and is up to 2100 acres. It won't ever get to where we live but we do get some of the smoke. They are speculating that since it started near the high school up there that it was a careless teen and his cigarette that started it.

I made it OP too. Sounds like it was a good day for all of us. YEAH!!!

Pat - I still am in awe that you won all that stuff. WOW I agree with Emmy, the right guy will come along when you are least expecting it. I know that doesn't make it feel better right now, we go thru this with our one unmarried son - he gets a little jealous that his 2 brothers have families already.

Christine - Good morning. I love pb and about every other night we have an English muffin with pb and some B&B. A good dessert for 4 points.

Gail - I made it through lunch yesterday. It's your turn today. I couldn't believe all the fried foods and the hot veggie was peas -yuck. They did have a good salad bar - thankfully - but I didn't have to worry about salad dressing - didn't see any. :lol:

Judy - 5 more days? Feeling the excitement building!

Gonna go for now - hope I can get in more than I did yesterday. I'm gonna have to come visits to keep me awake. This editing stuff is VERY boring. :dizzy:

I finally managed to get into the CAFE this morning. I'm having trouble with my computer since last night (not the cable modem this time believe it or not) and I'm using my son's. He was nice enough to offer it. :) I couldn't remember my password for 3FC though. :?: Anyway I'm here now...whew.

You guys are the greatest...counting down the days with me! :D yes! we're at 5 !!

It's rainy and dreary and chilly here too. But I think it's going to clear up a little later, hopefully we'll have a nice weekend. :cool:

Gail Sounds like you have a good plan for today. My plans for last night's supper fell through a little, but I still did good. I ended up working a little later than I intended so they already ordered the pizza before I got home, which was fine with me, but I wasn't able to stop on the way home for salad fixin's. I called George before I left work and told him that I was just leaving...he said, "could you please just get home, I can't listen to this woman another second." The guys usually hide in the basement while that couple is visiting, I'm sure to get away from the woman. They didn't want to be rude and abandon her, they were waiting for me to get home. Gee, ain't I lucky to get to be the one to converse with her. Actually, she's not as bad with me as she is with the guys...she nags her bf something awful. George says he thinks he sees a connection as to why the bf drinks. :rolleyes: Anyway, to finish what I was saying about my plan. I ended up having 2 pieces of pizza instead of just one, and I didn't have any salad, but I still did okay. I just like to be able to stick with a plan when I make it, ya know?

Christine {high five} for a great day yesterday! Yup, it was me who said that about a plan. :lol: You can see from my post to Gail how much it irks me to have a plan changed. I thought I was a little more flexable, but I guess it's different when it comes to working the program. I really do have more success staying OP when I have a set plan.

Yes, I really want to look into an album for the PFC I think it would be great! Gail emailed and asked about everyone emailing pictures to me. Yes, email them to me and I'll save everything to disk. I'll send the email address that I'd like everyone to use.

Pat You may think you should've done better with a loss, but it's still a loss. You've been headed in the right direction (down) every week. Good for you!! So proud of you!
Wow...Kenny Rogers! I use to listen to his songs all the time. I had a Kenny Rogers Greatest Hits tape years ago. Some of those songs were sooooooooooooooo romantic. ;)

Joyce That's just awful about the fires...so much land burned up. So much destruction because of one little careless act.

I am victorious! :joker: I went to the luncheon...worked the buffet...and came out victorious over the food! :D

I ate:

1 cup (guesstimation) pasta = 4 points
steamed vegetables over the pasta = 2 points (because there might have been some oil in them)
tossed salad = 0 point
1 T (if that) Italian salad dressing = 2 points
iced water

NO DESSERT! I passed up carrot cake, brownies, and assorted cookies!

Afternoon, figures it was raining and miserable at lunchtime and now it's sunny and beautiful out.

Joyce - That's terrible about that fire. I wonder if they will ever find out who did it..... Being OP is almost like a game now isn't it? Keep up the good work.

Judy - OMG, five more days. Are sitting down? Can you sit still? I'm so excited for you! Being flexible in my plan is one thing that I have trouble with too. I can be flexible for just me, but to be flexible for the family planned meal....it's hard. You've got my e-mail right? ;)

Pat - Dang weather anyways. And you're going to leave me alone tomorrow too. Crapola! You ladies are going to have to push me to get out and walk tomorrow by myself.

OK I gained - didn't think it would be so much 1.4. My scales at home this morning showed only a 1/2 # gain. But thats okay. Part of life - right? I know I was over points over last weekend and then got right back on Monday morning. I'm going to stay OP over this weekend.

Sharon - The B&B at 1 point/Tbs makes the 1 tsp of PB flavor go further. So it always seems like I have a lot of pb. The big fire is no threat to anyone in town except for breathing the smoke. It's about 30 miles from me into the mountains and more for your son. But he probably had some of the smoke that first day.

Christine - Yes, I know what was wrong. The thing I have to remember is that if I don't make it thru a particular event, I know how to get back OP and go forward from that point. There is no way that I have it in me to be perfectly OP 100% of the time. And I don't know that I really want to be. I want to be flexible enough to enjoy a special day now and then. I have to ba able to live this not just exist with it. Does that make sense? I'm being to philosophical - I got to quit this. :dizzy: :cool:

Our leader came up with her own quote for us. "Maybe I really am the person my dog thinks I am." She says her dog loves her because of the kind of person she is - not what she looks like. To her dog she is the most wonderful person in the world. So maybe you really are. A few of the people in class said they had thought about that this week and felt better about themselves. We've been doing things on improving self-esteem. Next week is a fashion show. We bring in our old too-big clothes, or things we can finally wear, or things we are looking forward to getting into. We've done this before and it is fun.

It wasn't too busy at the store tonight, and was told we get an extra 15% off till Sunday, which will make it a 45% off... figures, since next week is my "big payday". Well, I am beat, going to bed. Only at work for 1/2 day tomorrow, going to the dentist. I have a feeling he will have to pull a tooth :mad: ... Well, see everyone in the AM... TGIF...(tomorrow).. :o

...But like the rest of you I stayed on program and I am not sure why but it was EASY!!! I sure hope this motivation lasts. We had a spaghetti night supper tonight with all the fixins and a full sheetcake at work and I didn't eat any except for one forkful of spaghetti because the cook wanted me to taste it...she gave me a tiny serving but I took it and spooned out on another plate when she wasn't looking. Then I picked up mcDonalds for the kids. I usually devour some french fries on the way home. Tonight as I walked out the door I mad a conscious decesion to see if I could make it home without sneaking EVEN one..and guess what I did!!

Gail....Big High Five to you on how well you did at your luncheon. I just had this feeling that you would be successful! How's that foot doing??

See...you are a lucky gal and it will all come together for you. and ...yes I work in a Nursing Home and have for 23 years...I have been Activities DIrector, Admissions Director and now I handle the Community Awareness Programs...way too much food involved it you ask me...we eat all the darn time...but I am getting a handle on all that.

Well I think I got a chance to speak to everyone that frequents the cafe and I will try to get on in the morning for a bit. I am tired. I had a litt;e accident tonight...I ran into the back of a car. It was a true miracle...neither car was hurt and the other dirver said she wasn't hurt and I wasn't either although tonight my back seems a little tignt...but I am sure it will be ok...I just hope she doesn't end up hurting and sue me!! The cop didn't even give me a ticket. WHEW !! I was sweating that. I have a good driving record and try to keep it and not speed or knowingly do something stupid. I think in part he didn't give me the ticket cuz I admitted it was my fault and didn't try to wiggle out of it.He said most of the time people didn't do that. I said well I was the one that hit her and there was no need to deny it. I think I had an angel riding with me today.
