Well, went to my COD yesterday and noticed the new sign on the door that they have adjusted their hours AGAIN. Now they are not only closing earlier during the week than they were but they are closed Thursdays too. I asked the counselor (a new one) and she said she did not know. She said she knew the company had a history of closing centers and not telling staff until they showed up and found the doors locked but she honestly thought that they were just cutting back, not closing.

Hmmmmm

On another note, she signed me up for a new challenge the center is running. They take your measurements and weigh you and put you on one of two teams. Purple and Gold. The challenge lasts 6 weeks. The members of the team that loses the most gets a reward. Not sure what it is.

Unfortunately, that's not a good sign at all, Roberta.. That's pretty much the way the rest of our centers ended up closing.. Keep your eyes and ears open..

As for the teams, that's a great way to work together.. We used to do that around here.. I wonder if we should start that up again.. What say you, ladies?

Roberta-I was told my the manager of my COD that ALL LA centers are closing and will be going to the LA to go. Ours is going to close on Nov. 16th. You can still get product and lites from them, but you order from your assigned counselor and they ship it to your door. I had 30 boxes of lites left and they are gathering them all up and I will pick them up this week some time. I would talk to the manager about it and see what she has to say. Good luck on your challenge.

My center in Salt Lake City announced it was three weeks ago. There was a mad rush on product and they cant get enough in to give everyone what is owed to them. I got there early yesterday and was able to get the 18 boxes of bars they owed me but all they had was the variety boxes and caramel. I'd be careful and start taking home anything they owe you.

Dan, Deb and Sungoddess - the good thing is that because of my allergy to soy I can't use any of their products except the controltrim and I bought some off ebay, so they don't owe me any products. The new program did not work for me, so I am still on the Red1 w/o lites, and again, thanks to this board, I know what color to switch to as I lose weight.

Funny thing, I ran into my favorite counselor who no longer works there and she gave me her email address with a gracious offer to help in any way she can. She loved the program, but the company was so ruthless in the way they treat their employees, she and the manager left at the same time.

I go back tomorrow for WI, but each time I go, I don't really expect the COD to be open and am surprised when they still are. Guess I watched the company's unscrupulous activities through all those on this boards postings to expect anything honorable from them at this point.

Thanks again
Roberta

Well everyone, it happened today. I went to WI and all the stuff was off the walls, The displays, the products that were on the walls and on the counters were all packed in boxes and there was a new sign on the counter and on the door with the 6 - 8 dates of when someone would be at the COD for a couple of hours each day. A manager was giving out folders to each person who was there for the LAWL to go program with a toll free number. She said they had gotten the call this morning to shut down immediately and stay open for a couple of days to give anyone a chance to come and get product and get the information for the 'to go' program. There was a guy who was there to "see about his wife's account" and he did not look happy. Sad, but not unexpected.

The manager said that the 'to go' allows you one counsellor phone call a week and they had the materials like the diaries and product to mail to folks. I bet that disappears soon too.

You were right, Dan and Deb.
