Let's all have a great month :) Whether we are running :running: walking ~ stepping or :swim: swimming!

Set those goals a bit higher! And achieve them :yay:

I think I will be home most of the month for work so I am going to up my goal 25 miles and hope I make it!

Angie and I went for 3 miles with the dogs this morning around the 'hood. Had to skip our usual coffee walk because she had to get to church for practice early today.

This is a hard one to plan for. I don't get my work schedule until the end of next week, but I know I have a week off in between sessions. So, with that said, I will UP my goal for the month since I will have some time off. I also want to force myself to do weights more often this month and see if that makes a difference so I am adding it to my goals.

40 miles running/walking
6 miles swimming
10 days of weights

First day of the month. Went to a beautiful park in Gainesville with the family.. walked a total of 4 miles on the trails.

I'm going for 60 to 65 this month of Walking/Jogging.

I'll be starting a job soon so that will be the best I can do until I get used to things. :)

Gary, It's so great to be back and starting again. You wouldn't believe how little I've walked in the past month...it's really showing too. My weight has popped up 5 pounds. I'd like to say overnight, but truly it's due to a lack of committment during most of Sept and virtually all of October. I'm going to start back with baby steps, but I'm back and still 10 pounds lighter than this day last year. Moving forward always moving forward.

50 walk miles
4 yoga or weight lifting days
2 fruits every day
3 veggies every day
2 quarts of water every day
Love myself enough to feed myself well

I went just a few miles under my October goal cause I got a stomach bug, but I'm excited to get started on my November goal: 50 miles walk/run/elliptical!

November 1: 3 miles Leslie Sansone fast walk
Other: 5 volleyball games!

Great job TEAM!

Angie and I were going to walk the dogs for 3 miles this morning before church but one of our dogs wasn't up to it. She has a leg that fatigues if we go too much...guess we have. We had to wait until this afternoon and then just do 2.5. Still wasn't enough to rid myself of some afternoon pizza calories though!

Gary, Sorry to hear one of your dogs is having difficulties keeping up with you.....

Thanks LOVNMOM but she doesn't have any trouble keeping up with us! She is a hard charger! On 3 legs she is faster than the rest of us :) And that is the problem, she goes so hard in walking and play, then her leg gets tired (from an injury she had a few years ago) and she starts favoring it, limping, when that happens we just have to back off for a bit. Took them out for 2 miles after work, trying to be easy on her again today....both are out in the back yard right now playing tug of war with each other like there is no tomorrow, in and out of the house up and down the stairs, it should end in about 10 minutes....supper time ;)

You gals are doing great!

My son and a few of his fellow scouts needed to complete a 5 mile hike, with map and compass, to move up to the next level. Well, I am the "most fit" scout leader and the kids got out of school early today, so away we went. It was one of the most rewarding walks I've been on in awhile.

I met Angie at the end of the drive when I got home from work. She was taking the mutts out for their walk so I was able to change from my boots to shoes and hit the road for 2.5 miles with them before I even went in the house...yipee!

Gary, I'd love to have someone meet me at the driveway for a walk. You two are so awesome together!

I got in 2.5 with my DD yesterday. We had a great day shopping and purposefully "power walked" between stores. She's 15 and has recently dropped about 15 pounds herself. Just because of PE, better lunch time choices and growing up and losing the last of her babyfat so to speak. We had a blast together. She was able to shop in every junior section and got some great outfits oh, and her first pair of kickin' high healed to the knee black boots. OMGsh, she's really growing up. Scary!!!

I am new as of today and I apologize to everyone who is a regular on the site and already is well informed about goals and such but I can't believe what a great idea tracking your milage per month is! Great job everyone! Keep up the good work!!! :hug:

This is my progess:
I began walking 20 minutes on Nov. 2nd.
Nov. 7 - Ran 5 of the 20 minutes.
Nov. 12 - Ran 10 of the 20 minutes.

These are my goals:
45+ miles for the month of Nov.
To run the entire 20 minutes by Nov. 30th

Forgot my SHOES when I went to work. I had everything else. Grr. Swam 1/2 mile before the kids got there then played with them for an hour in the pool. So mad I forgot my shoes. I am putting in my old pair in the trunk tomorrow for emergencies like that!

Hi everyone. This thread seems to have died but I have an update so I thought I'd post. I am running 15 of 20 minutes right now! :) And I will hit running all 20 minutes within the month! Yay for reaching goals! :carrot: Also, I am planning on continuing to up my cardio by adding some time on the stair climber machines too!

Sorry been MIA. I got a bad cold and have been coughing up my lungs. I did go to the gym today and did weights and a total of 2.25 miles. I ran 1.5 miles and that was about all I could do. Still not feeling great, but I wasn't about to go much more than a week without working out!

Ok I missed yesterday's wussy update. Swam 1/4 mile yesterday and then I ran 1.75 miles today outside. Both times I had to stop due to coughing from this cold that won't go away. Trying for the 5k tomorrow indoors because I can't stop coughing outside.

I was determined to do the Turkey Trot this weekend despite my cold, so I ventured outside this afternoon for a total of 3.5 miles. HAd to stop running a few times to cough or feel nauseous (bad thanksgiving food) but I made it haha. Came home and did weights afterward. Not too shabby for a Friday!
