Here we are -- another month has begun . . . and it's time for a new chat thread -- so here's our new home for thne rest of the year.
Let's make the last two months of 2008 our best time ever. Let's make sure that this year is the one that ends our sugar addictions for once and for all, and we start into 2009 in complete control of our eating habits. :yay:

Woo Hoo a new page... I love a new beginning. Heres a couple of hard months. Except I do think Thanksgiving isn't bad. Its only one day and turkey is healthy. Along with some baked sweet potatoes and nice veggie etc. The week end is lazy but we did go grocery shopping on Friday. We had pizza Friday night but I only had on slice. It just had mushrooms and cheese on it. Last night was grilled steak. With some broccoli salad. Tonight DH is making grilled cheese on sour dough. The weather is perfect here. Tomorrow I go have a mamogram and get the oil in the car changed so it will be a busy day. Have a good evening....

Hi ladies,
Weekend was a busy one. We had a retirement party o Saturday and I did very well with my eating. I was so proud. Even ate at Panera for lunch and had half a sald and their low fat black bean soup. Yummy. Yesterday I started with am omlett for breakfast and I never was hungry the rest of the day, even when we went to dinner. We did eat Hooter's wings, but I was still under my calories count for the day, so I was ok. This morning the scale was way down so I will check again tomorrow and see if it holds.
I am having a lot of trouble getting in enough calories each day.
I got all of my Dickens villages up yesterday. Took us about 3 hours. I have 18 of them and we put them on this landing space upstairs and my dd has to climb over the banister and go over there and set them up. It's only about a 3'x2' area and the drop is about 8'. I just may leave them up all year. I love looking at them.
Brought a couple more Christmas gifts this weekend. I am well on my way. I bought some buckets with cute snowmen on them. I am using mine for kindling by the fireplace but I need to fill them with something to use as gifts. Any ideas? Also I need some ideas for little gifts for people who come to my house to take home when they leave. Not much on making anything so I need some ideas for that if anyone has any.
Meowee, thanks for starting a new board. They are always so nice.
Toni, good luck on your mamogram today. We made homemade pizza's for Halloween before the kiddies came around.
Got to get started. Have a great day.

Hi ladies,
Not a lot going on with me. Scale is still down. Only need a couple pounds to get down into another new set of numbers. My body is so crazy. Never lose then 8 lbs all at once. Nice motivation when it finally does happen though. Boy the trainer about killed me last night. I can hardly lift my arms today. I actually worked so hard I thought I was going to throw up when I left there. Amazing how much harder you work with someone like that then on your own. I told him I was going to St Maarten in Jan and wanted to be able to wear a string bikini. He laughed and asked how big was the string :fr: That is not a visual even I would want in my head.
Any one made a granola that is legal? My DD is wanting some and I bought something packaged at the store but thought someone on here had made one. Guess I need to check out the recipe board.
Toni, how did your mammo go the other day?
Meowee, glad you are holding down the fort here.
Where is all our other newbies? & oldies?
Got to run to a meeting. Talk to you tomorrow.
Hi all!
I'm new to this forum. I just got sugar busters in the mail yesterday and I started reading it last night. I am addicted to sugar and this is gonna be a difficult transition for me. I'm excited to make some changes though. I've got a lot of problems with depression and some other 'mood' disorders and I'm really curious to see how this will affect how i feel mentally as well as physically.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks for introducing me to this concept. I'd never heard of Sugar Busters before I came to 3FC.

Hi Sarah and welcome to our board. We are a little slow right now, but it should pick up soon. I hope you stay with us. This is easy to follow. No "white" things such as white bread, white potatoes, white pasta, sugar. Only whole wheat bread with less than 3 grams of sugar, ww pasta, whole grain cereals, crackers. No bananas, raisins, or pineapple, watermelon. I beleive there is a newbie list of the basics youmight want to check out. It will take a few days to get over your sugar fixation. You may even have withdrawal headaches, but once you do, it will be easy. Plan ahead and always be prepared and don't cheat. That's the best advice I can give you. Ask any questions you may have. I originally lost 105 lbs on this and gained 30 back with chemo. But I have lost almost 20 lbs and working hard to get it all back off. Good luck and looking forward to getting to know you.
Nothing going o with me today. Did not go to the gym last night as my dd bought a new car and had some work done to the house that she wanted us to see so we went out there. I needed a break anyway. My arms are so sore today I can hardly use them. I will definately do lower body tonight.
Toni, where are you?
Meowee,
Thanks for the encouragement Solly! I appreciate the welcome too ;)

Wow I've had a hard time getting on here today. Seems like my life has been crazy this week. I had my Mammogram on Monday. And have run the rest of the week. Got the results of my pap smear and its abnormal so I'm to see a specialist. I've waited all day for the doctors office to call with my appointment. Maybe tomorrow. Eating is horrible. Hopefully better tonight I'm making pork cutlets rolled in whole wheat panko crumbs. With a salad and maybe baked sweet potato.
Sct-:welcome: Yes peanut butter is allowed. Its good to have you aboard.
Solly- Sounds like you've been pretty busy working out. Good for you. You're really doing it. You're my inspiration.... Congrads on losing the weight....

Hi all!! I rec'd my sugar busters book this week. I am hopeful in getting back on track. Getting back on the wagon is hard this time, for some reason. I have been on a baked sweet potato w/ sour cream kick this week. Too yummy. I plan on baking a splenda cheesecake next weekend. This weekend I am going to relax in Biloxi in a condo all by my lonesome...honey has to work.

Hi ladies,
Hope everyone is ready to enjoy the weekend. We are going to the race track tomorrow with DH's work. Luckily it is indoors as it will be in the low 50's tomorrow. They should have food I can make good choices from.
Toni, I'm sorry to hear that your pap smear was abnormal. There are a lot of factors that can cause it. Please keep us posted.
SCT, they say the natural pb is better, but I have never used it. Jiff has one called Simply Jiff that has less sugar.
Cray, enjoy your alone time. The cheesecake is delish.
Meowee, hope you are having a better day today.

Gee whiz . . . I've had another hectic day . . . don't know what is going on but it is really messing up my eating good intentions. Today had chocolate in it and not the good healthy stuff -- peanut butter cups crossed my path at a very bad moment.
Other than that, it's been rain, rain, rain all day -- but it is mild.
Thanks for the warm welcome all :) I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better!
It's getting so cold here. Last weekend we had record breaking high temps and now it's dipping into the 20's. Brrrrr. I need to do some weather proofing around the house to get ready for the cold ahead. We've been lucky so far with a pretty mild autumn so I shouldn't complain. But I hate winter!
Have a good weekend ladies

Whatever funk I had in my head for the last two weeks has settled into a full blown cold. I am tired of blowing my nose.
Eating wasn't bad this weekend, not great, but not horrible. Scale was up some this morning but hopefully that is salt and will be gone by tomorrow. Just hope I can make it to the gym tonight and tomorrow with this cold.
Sarah, it is in the low 50's here and calling for rain all week. I'm freezing and way ready for summer to come back.

Hello. Well the week end is over and I'm a lazy butt. I didn't get anything worth while done. But it was nice. It sure is cold here. Last night it got down to 29. We forgot to turn on the heater and it was freezeing in here this morning. Brrrr..... Think I'll make a nice meat loaf for dinner. I didn't get one made last week. So I'm thawing out the burger. Well how are you all.
Today has just been crappy, I haven't had much to do at work and the time is crawling. And I still have to work tonight at my part time job. To make things worse, the gal i'm scheduled with this evening hates me right now for reasons unknown. She won't talk to me and it just makes me extremely anxious the whole time we're working together. Its cold out and now it's raining. It has definitely been a Monday. I can't wait to go home and go to bed.
On a happy note, I think I lost a couple pounds, but I can't tell for sure because I don't own a scale haha. I'll have to get one of those sooner or later. I haven't had any fast food in over a week, which is huge for me considering I used to drive thru somewhere once a day!
Hope you're all having a better day than me ;)

Hi ladies, hope everyone is well. It is raining here and predicted to rain the rest of the week. Yuk!
I forced myself to go to the gym last night. I didn't do much cardio, only enough to warm up and then 30 minutes of strength work. I'm glad I did. I actually feel some better today. At least my faucet nose has slowed down a bunch. Tonight I have my trainer. He will kick my butt for sure.
Toni, any word on your dr appt yet? Hope you don't have to wait forever to get in. Better get that heat on. I'm freezing already. I hate it.
Sarah, Sorry about your part time job. Nothing like going to work in a bad situation. I hate slow days too. Yesterday drug for me also as I felt bad and did not feel like working much. I was glad to sit down and rest awhile.
I did get my garland on my stairs up. So I think I have the long, tedius decorating done. I will probably do everything else but my tree this weekend.
30 minutes to lunch and boy am I starving. I made veggie soup so I will have that and half a grilled cheese sandwich and fruit.
Have a great day.

Good morning to y'all!! I've been trying to get the food stuff in order! The trip to biloxi was very relaxing. It was weird to do much of nothing and to not have to be anywhere at anytime. Oh to win the lottery!!
I've lost about 3 lbs so far.. My bf, Jim, cooks to darn good. He tries to keep it SB but I dunno. He sauted some baby eggplant (YUK), leeks and celery. Pureed it, spiced it and simmered it. The steamed a head of cauliflower, put it in the "soup". THEN he sauteed some shrimp and threw it in. It was delicious. It is hard to not over eat such yummies...... I think the leeks are not legal...they are soooo sweet.
Anyhoo, it's gonna rain here today and get cool this weekend.
Happy Thursday!

Good morning ladies!
I feel like there's never enough time in the day to post anymore.:( Working full-time and trying to maintain some form of semblance in my house is proving to be quite tricky. But... I have a vacation day today so I thought this would be a good time to catch up! I miss chatting with you and seeing what everyone's up to. I'm happy to hear your pap turned out fine, Toni. I had a scare like that once too, and it turned out to be nothing. Solly, I'm so proud of you for getting a trainer. I have been terrible about exercise throughout my weight loss and it's showing. I'm all mushy and have lost a lot of muscle tone. Keep up the good work!! You're my inspiration now to get some type of continuous exercise going.:carrot:
Meowee, those peanut butter cups are the :devil, aren't they? We didn't have 1 trick or treater on Halloween, so you know my husband and I kept hitting that candy bowl. I've made it a rule though that I never go more than 2 days off plan, and I've been able to lose in spite of being naughty at times.
Welcome Sarah and Crayphish:welcome3: You're going to love Sugar Busters. You can eat so well and not feel deprived, and that's the key to maintaining the lifestyle. You won't believe the amount of energy you get back in such a short period of time:woohoo:
I don't know about you ladies, but I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving this year more than ever. My girls will be home from college and we're going to my sister's house to celebrate with my parents too!! My husband loves Thanksgiving because he never heard of pumpkin pie growing up in Hungary. The first time he tried it was after we got married, and now he's hooked!!
As for me, work is challenging, but I do enjoy it. Sales have been down due to the economy, but it will turn around again. I'm also going to start looking into the maintainer's section. I have absolutely no idea how to start increasing calories, but not going overboard either. I'm 1 pound away from goal (can you believe it?) and I need to get informed. I love my protein, so I'm hoping I can eat more meat and maybe add some additional healthy snacks during the day.
Well ladies, I've got to go make some breakfast for my husband. Hopefully I'll be able to post again soon. If not, have a wonderful Thanksgiving, we have a lot to be grateful for!:grouphug:

Happy Friday ladies
I did a post yesterday, but I sure don't see it anywhere. Cyberspace I guess.
No big plans for the weekend. We are stripping the wallpaper in my dining room below the chair rail and will paint that tomorrow. Have to get one or 2 things off my to do list accomplished and plan to put up the rest of my chritmas decorations, clean and grocery shop. Just the normal stuff. So eating should be no problem.
Chris, I am so excited for you being 1 lb away from goal. Smart idea learning how to maintain. Even though wt loss is not easy, maintaining is a lot harder I think. How many times have we lost weight and put more back on. I know I am guilty of that many times. This time is the last I hope and pray.
Toni, How are you doing today? Have a great weekend. I guess you are sending me all that cold weather I see headed our way.
Meowee, those peanut butter cups are a killer. Hope your week is going better. You can get that pound off by the end of the month for sure.
Cray, glad you enjoyed your r&r time. Congrats on the 3 lbs. :cheer: Keep up the good work. I'm not sure about leeks. Are they some type of onion? or are they a root veggie? You can tell I'm not the gourmet cook.
Better get some work going. I was supposed to be off today with my DH but we have a bid going in at 3:00. I may sneak out after that.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Our weather is getting weirder and weirder.
Before the sun came out yesterday afternoon, we actually saw a tiny bit of "thick" and "slightly white-ish" rain. Didn't even last long enough to actually land on the ground though. Today the sun is shining and the teperatures are going up again.
Forecast for the weekend is calling for lots and lots of rain and a high temperature on Sunday of 20C/68F. Yep . . . 'normal' for this time of year is about 5C/41F. :dunno:

Hello all.... Well here we are at Monday and got the week to deal with. We grocery shopped Friday and got the stuff for our Thanksgiving meal. We're roasting a whole turkey instead of a turkey breast this year. I'm doing so awful on my eating I think I'm setting myself up to fail. Will have turkey, green beans and I'm not sure what else. Of course DH will have to have mashed potatoes and deveiled eggs. I've got a recipe I'll post for a pumpin dessert that instead of a pie I put in pudding cups last year. It was really good. Hope everyone is fine.

I absolutely  that recipe, TONI, although I've only ever used it as a pudding. If you want an even more decadent touch, try beating in a container of spreadable SF/FF cream cheese.
Anyway . . . what a difference a day or two makes weather-wise -- high temperature Sunday, 70F; yesterday, 41F; today we will be lucky to make it much above freezing and the precipitation that is expected will probably be white and lingering. At lest it isn't nearly as windy.

Hi ladies,
Just a quickie here. Going out of my mind with so much to do at work and at home. Had to get up this morning at 5:00 to spot clean my house as we had so much work around the house that I did not get to my regular cleaning. I scrath off 10 things on my to do list and then add 10 more. This is never ending. Put up one tree (not decorated) and then decide dto go out and buy a differnt one. Took the old one down and put up the new one. Fell into bed at 11:40 and up with the alarm at 5:00. I am dragging. Got to make it to the gym though. It's a short week and lots of food envolved so exercise is so important.
Toni, I don't cook. We go to my sisters and all I bring is meatballs and a bottle of wine. I do Christmas. Is it just you and Steve or do some of your kids come over?
Meowee, it is in the 50's here. At least it was nice putting up the outside decorations yesterday. It has rained all day and they are calling for flurries tomorrow.
Just in case I dpn't get back anymore this week, I wish everyone a wonder Thanksgiving. Watch you food, enjoy but don't over do. Be sure to count your many blessings.

Hello y'all, checkin in from the hysterectomy. I'm bloated like a Macy's parade balloon but on the upswing. The pain isn't so bad but the discomfort is. And, oh the grumpiness....my poor dear Jim. He is a trooper!!
Our weather is beautiful, in the 60s and cloudless. For Thanksgiving we (he) are going to cook cornish hens, fresh brussell sprouts, probably roasted sweet potatoes and I am going to make brownies. I'm considering using half oat flour and half wheat flour and splenda. Dunno.
Anywho, I'm going to lay back down for a while.
Take care!

Good evening. Had to go for a chemical stress test yesterday and it took up all day. Plus its a 3 hour drive from here and I'm tired today. But have wash going so I won't have anything to do but some baking tomorrow. My DH wants a big ole tradional Thanksgiving so thats what we're having. The turkey is thawed and in the fridge.
Solly- It will only be the two of us. But we'll be with the kids at Christmas.
Crayphish- Hope you're feeling better. Your dinner sounds good.

Wow, I hope your December is off to a better start than mine . . . we've got realtively mild b ut very wet and windy weather; I ache everywhere and my blood sugar is running higher than it should and then, like the idiot I can be from time to time, I ate chocolate for breakfast :o
Hopefully things will get a lot better as the month progresses.

Hope everyone had a wonderful TG. Ours was fine, nothing exciting. Not one of my favorite holidays. DH & I hit WAlMart at 5:30 on Friday. Went after some movies and a digital picture frame. All they had was the frame. Then we went to the furniture store and bought new family room furniture. I had picked it out awhile back but they had 20% off until 9:00 so we were there by 6:00. Didn't actually save any money, as we bought another chair but I would have never bought it w/o the discount. Then I met my girls at 7:00 and we shopped until 5:00 that night. I was beat to say the least.
Got a lot done and everything is wrapped and under the tree. Have a few small things to do around the house before our party this weekend. I will be off Thursday and Friday so that will be a big help.
Toni, you should be sick of turkey be now. I actually have a breast in the freezer which I plan to fix here this week.
Meowee, you need just to take some "me" time. No one else will do it for you.
Got to run. we have 2 bids going in today and it is getting crazy. Have a great week.

Almost finished with the wrapping -- hope to get the things that have to be shipped to the post office tomorrow.
Even though we are still having unseasonably mild weather I'm still starting to get the almost overpowering urge to BAKE that hits me every year. Wouldn't be too bad if it didn't seem to come with a companion urge to EAT. :s:

Thanks for the warm welcome !!!
I have to be honest & say ALL I want to eat is sweets...... now that doc says no way. Does everyone feel that way? It's on my mind constantly. In my family sweets are used as a "cure"/celebration. Depressed...eat cake, Happy..have a truffle...etc. It's been that way for as long as I've been alive and ashamedly I still eat sweets uncontrolably. Sorry for whining but I'm angry at the state I've put my body through & that there will be no Godiva this Christmas. :nono:
Well ,tuesday is approaching fast and I'm kind of excited in a very remote way. LOL I've heard the "side affect" of following the yeast connection cookbook is great weightloss and tons of energy.(After the Candida Cleanse) Yahooo!!!!

Hi Mary; Hope you can get off sweets. Maybe take 1 day at a time and see how you do with none. Sometimes I have to take an hour at a time to get me off the bad stuff. Sugar, white flour, white potatoes, white rice. It takes a couple of weeks to get out of your system but you'll feel so much better. You can do it!!!! Try fruits, veggies and whole grains along with lean meats.

Hi ladies,
It's been a whirlwind weekend and I am glad it's over. We baked all day Sunday. Didn't do to do bad on the sampling of things.
I went to the gym last night and then again at 5:30 this morning. I like going in the mornings if I can get my lazy butt out of bed.
Pretty much done with shopping. I still have stocking stuff to buy. DH & I are not exchanging gifts since we are going to St Marteen in Jan. Of course I will have 1 or 2 things for him and a stocking.
Everything is wrapped and under the tree so I am hoping for some R&R until Christmas week. We do have to shop for our angel tree child, but that is always fun.
Toni, now don't you be taling snow. It is raining cats and dogs here today. Caling for 2-3 inches of rain. But it is 56 so it will remain rain. Thank goodness.
Meowee, sounds like you are caught up with your shopping and wrapping. Good for you.
Mary, Welcome to our group. Someone asked me once if I really wanted to lose wt or did I want to eat and drink? Sometimes you have to ask yourself which is more important and make that choice. Be prepared with your meals and when you go out. Plan ahead. You can do it, it takes a few days to get over the sugar cravings. Good luck.
Got to run. I still have tons of work to do. Have a great day

My back is feeling about 80% functional this morning and the really strange weather continues. After sunshine and a high of -9 yesterday; today we are supposed to get +13 and bunches of rain and wind (that's 16F yesterday and 55F today). The heaps of snow that were around yesterday have pretty much disappered again.
Nothing big in my plans . . . still have a little wrapping to do (local stuff) and will continue my reading and back resting that's been the story of my life for most of the week. Still taking the Robaxicet, of course. The added muscle relaxant in it really does seem to help.
Have a good day . . .

Well after melting all the snow, the warmth decided to leave again and the constant rain turned to that most dreadful of the winter dreadfuls -- freezing rain -- which continued all night. Nothing is moving very far or very fast around the Maritimes this morning.

Hello all....
ihsabhg- The only way I know is to plan your meals and snacks ahead and even plan your cheats. Take one day at a time and sometimes just one meal at a time. You can make a healthy Christmas dinner thats good. With turkey or turkey breast, whole wheat stuffing, some good veggies, deveiled eggs a raw veggie tray, all fruit salad with lite cool whip and a legal cheesecake or pumpkin pudding for dessert. Maybe a cranberry sauce made with splenda and some of your own ideas. You can do it. You'll have a head start on January 1st.....
Meowee- Stay warm and hopefully your power will stay on.

Meowee, hope your back gets better soon. I know how you feel. Nothing worse than a sore back. We have lucked out and not had any snow other than flurries yet. My DD flew wo Worchester MA this morning and they were expecting about 2" of ice and then snow. Our city shuts down when we get snow but I assured her up north they clear the roads in no time.
Ish, plan ahead like Toni said. If you must cheat, make sure it does not lead to a binge and it stays at 1 small cheat. Once you cheat, it is hard to stop.
Ask yourslef what you want the most: that piece of candy, etc or to lose wt. Then go with what your answer is. Good luck.
Well this has beent he week from hell and I am so glad it is almost over. We willb e keeping my DD's 2 dogs this weekend while they go to Nashville so we will be stuck at home all weekend. I am already wondering what I will do with myself. Everything is wrapped and I won't be able to get out. I will go stir crazy.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Toni, one day at a time. One meal at a time. We can do this. It is so hard this time of year. All the goodies are pouring in the office. Luckily, we are getting lots of fruit also.

What a difference a day makes . . . 24 little hours . . . I know that Canadians are famous (or maybe that's infamous) for talking about our weather a lot; probably because we get so much of it. AtlantiCa is on the same roller-coaster. Yesterday we broke fifty-year-old records by hitting +20 C (68F). Today -- our high is going to be -2C (+28F) with a little snow before we also head back to about +10/11 C (+37F) for tomorrow. Oh well, out in Cold Lake, Alberta (where my oldest son is) today's high is going to be -25C (-13F); so guess I should be thankful for small mercies.
Well, I really have to go out and brave the cold and the crowds for a bit today since the larder is looking a little bare and I do have one more gift to get. So I'd best get moving in the hopes of beating the snow.
Have a great day . . . :carrot:

Hi ladies,
Our weather has been crazy too. Nothing going on with me. Work is crazy and I'm trying to get caught up before next week. We have a short week and then I am off until the 5th. I'm patting myself on the back. I made it to the gym 6 days last week. Going in the morning makes me get there more. It's just hard to get up out of that warm bed and get going. Only 30 days until we leave for St Marteen and I want to look good in that string bikini :fr:
Toni, we didn't get what they were predicting, how about you? We only got less than an 1" of icy snow. They were predicting more today, but we haven't gotten any. We baked 2 weeks agao and it is so hard to keep out of it. We gave most of it away, but a few things lingered and called my name. A friend dropped off a plate Saturday and I told my DH just take it staright to the office so I won't be tempted. I guess I won't be able to chat with you for 2 weeks. You will be gone next week and I will be gone the week after that until the 5th of Jan. So have a Merry Christmas and A Happy & Healthy New Year. I know you will so enjoy your kids and grandkids. Have a safe trip. Hopefully it will be warmer in TX.
Meowee, it is soo cold here with a little icy/snow mix. But Thursday they are calling for it to be in the 60's again. Very strange. But I will take it over this cold and snow. Good for you getting your shopping done. I have a couple gift cards to get and that is it for me.
Got to run. Have a great day and talk to you soon I hope.

Hello!
I thought I would pop in and wish everyone Happy Holidays! :wreath:
Life has been hectic here. My daughter was laid off two weeks ago. It was an awful time for it. They had a contract on a house, and were supposed to close and move the end of the month. Now it is all on hold until she finds a job.
Kaeleb is SO much fun! He is into everything, talking, exploring... I just love having him around. My older daughter is expecting in February and it is a girl! I am looking forward to having a granddaughter to spoil too!
I am still working away at my pottery. I have not had as much time as I would like, but at least I am still working. I hope to start teaching classes in January. I need to clean and rearrange the garagio before that happens! :)
I am still following Sugarbusters, though a bit half heartedly right now. No gain, or loss. Same old same old....sigh.
I will try and check in more often. :grouphug:

I'm sooo envious about all the snow you guys are getting....it's been in the warm 60's down here. We haven't had a really good snow in 10 or 12 years. I used to love snow cream...I'm so addicted.:ink:

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah or just plain old Happy Holidays before the craziness of the new week starts. We are all decorated and started baking. I baked whatever I could freeze this weekend and plan on baking the rest Mon, Tues, Wed.
Trying to avoid all these Holiday goodies is proving very tricky, but I'm trying! I would be happy to maintain and not gain anything this season.
I finally lost the last pound...I am at goal!!
Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday.

I will be out until the 5th of Jan.
Meow, you keep that snow. We are expecting 2-3 inches of rain this weekend starting Christmas day. But it will be high 50's to 60's.
Mary, I don't blame you for wainting until the holidays are over. My trainer was telling me about a cleanse call evercleanse or something like that, but you still eat normal while doing it for a week. I may try that. He said it really gets rids of the toxins in your body.
Ellen, so glad to hear from you. We have missed you. Sorry about DD's job. Hope she finds one soon.

I'd like to join ya'll, if you don't mind. I've always had trouble with sugars/carbs - mostly craving them and then the stupor and headaches that follow! I know when I eat right - for me it's the Sugar Buster way - the cravings are gone, no nausea in the morning, have a clear mind, energy galore, and I don't think about food all the time. And my house stays relatively clean as there seems to be more hours in the day when you aren't passed out on the couch from carbs. Anyone relate??
Right now I am starting. I'm throwing away the 1/2 box of chocolates and then I'm getting on the treadmill.
See you guys tomorrow!!

It sure is quiet in here, everybody must be out having fun. :) Toni, it is so nice to see you. Your prime rib sounds yummy. We made one several years ago for New Years.
I'm so looking forward to spring and planting again. We did plant some greens and a couple of cabbage plants this year. My family doesn't eat greens but I do. I have some one the counter soaking right now for dinner. If I weren't so lazy I would eat them more often. Oh and we did plant to broccoli plants. They were really tasty. I didn't think they would taste much different than the store but they were much fresher tasting. Next year we plan on planting several since we know they will grow here.
Time to get a glass of water. It's so cold in here that's the hardest part of doing better. But so far so good. :)

Hey Crystle you're right its so quiet in here. Hope everyone will come back on the 1st. I got my seed catalogs today and enjoyed going through them. I ordered some tomato plants from Burpee. They seem to run out of the ones I want so fast. So I got an early jump on them this year. I did pick up my prime rib today. Hope I do a good job cooking it. Of course I'll have to have some black eyed peas with it. I love both broccoli and cabbage. Wish I had a nice garden instead of growing from pots. I seem to be coming down with a cold and have been hacking all day. Its nice and clear here today with nice weather for now. We have a front coming in this week and maybe snow. I'm trying to get more water in to. Doing better but not great. Have a good evening.....

((Everybody)) I hope you are having a SUPER week so far and are ready for a new year, a fresh start or a continued excellent journey. Last night I made a turkey meatloaf that was actually delicious and moist. Usually they are a tad dry. I think the large can of tomato sauce on top helped. If you've never boiled sweet potatoes they are very tasty like that. We were able to eat them without adding any butter. My hubby is picky so I was really surprised. Guess I'd better get off this thing and get ready to walk. A friend is coming over. It is so much nicer to walk with a buddy.
