Hmmm... exactly how do you attain the pumpkin? I have a real pumpkin here in my dorm room - my roomie got it to carve - so do you think if I somehow mashed and strained the innerds that would work?

According to the website where I found the recipe:
"scoop out seeds, cut into manageable sizes, peel, place in water and bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer and cook until tender then drain...you have fresh pumpkin"
I used canned pumpkin
