Default Weekly Topic Discussion #4

Hello everyone! Welcome to this week's discussion!

This is for anyone who wants to contribute. If you have something to say, large or small, share it with the rest of us! It benefits everyone.

This week's topic: Steps to Success

We all want to succeed at weight loss. That's why we're here!

Step One:
Have a goal. Small. Large. Goal Weight. Goal Outfit. Goal Cholesterol. Something to work towards. Have a concrete goal. Without it... how will we know what to start doing?

Step Two:
Initiate a plan. How do we start stepping towards our concrete goal? We have a plan. Every day. Without a plan we're walking blindly.

Step Three:
Seek out support & information. 3FC & their members are an infinite source of support & knowledge. Don't go it alone. It has been shown that those with a support group are more apt to succeed.

Step Four:
Learn from our past experiences. (As discussed in the Discussion #3). We cannot move forward if we don't find ways around old habits.

Step Five:
Open yourself up to the unknown. If the old tricks don't work, try something new. You may find that something unknown to you works really well in your life.

Step Six:
Reward yourself! Visualize your goal & reward yourself when you get there.

Step Seven:
Examine & renew your commitment. It's a daily process. Renewing our commitment to success each morning we wake up. And some days it's before each meal & snack. We want this. We know we do. Let's commit to it!

Step Eight: The most important.
NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER EVER EVER GIVE UP! We must resolve to keep going.

Thoughts?/Comments?

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to post this, Faerie!

# 7 is probably my worst! I have to keep reminding myself over and over to go for what I want most (good health) rather than what I want right now (excessive sugar, fat, etc.) It's an ongoing struggle for me.
