Default How did you reconcile old scale and new scale numbers?

I'm curious how others have dealt with this~

Towards the end of September my digital scale died, and it took several days for my new Tanita (yay!) to arrive. When it finally did, my weight was 6.6 pounds higher than the old scale. PMS was raging, so I know a few pounds of it was that, but I'm sure the rest was just the result of having a different (better) scale.

So...I know in the grand scheme of things, this doesn't matter, but if you switched scales and had a different reading, how did you reconcile the difference in your stats? Did you just leave it alone, or did you change numbers around??

I know I'm probably being overly anal retentive here, so it's okay to just tell me to get over myself and leave it alone.

I simply didn't adjust my ticker until I was below my listed weight on my scale.

I think this happened to me when my ticker showed 195 or so. The new scale read me at 198. So I just left it where it was until the NEW scale said I was 194. Problem solved!

I've never had to switch scales, but if I did I'd do just what Mandalinn said.

My old analog scale weights 2 pounds lighter than my newer Tanita electronic body fat scale. If I'm feeling bad and having a hard time with maintenance (especially when I've jumped over red-line) I refer back to the old scale so I'll feel better. When I'm really on plan and within my maintenance window, I go with the new one.

So, I take the one I like, depending on how I'm feeling at the time.
