This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. For those of you who lived through this era . . . What a hoot! The commentary is hysterical; and the pictures? Got to see 'em to believe 'em.
This is almost as much of a riot as those old Weight Watchers recipe cards! Weren't those about the same time? I'm old enough to remember that stuff (graduated from high school in 1976)
Well, I remember 1977, it's not so bad when everyone is dressed the same way. Styles change, somebody in a few years will be saying how stupid the fashions were in 2008.
Cute! I remember those clothes! My mom dressed my sister and I alike, we had matching clothes just as funny as those.
When I first saw the headline I was thinking it was the infamous sears catalog ad for men's underwear that came out in the 1970s. Does anyone else remember the song and the ad that I'm talking about?
LOL - I remember 1977 very well! Plaid was "hot" and the collars and pant widths were hilarious. I'm glad I was a poor college student that lived in jeans and t-shirts at the time!
Having lived through the 1970's I have to say -- even at the time I thought the fashion was simply hideous. I remember trying to find clothes and thinking WTH are these clothes about? Just thought they were ugly then, uglier (and funnier) now.
I remember when Saturday Night Fever came out (um, I was anti-disco; long haired bands ) Anyway, John Travolta's outfit - the poyester pant suit, the ugly polyester shirt, the boots and the hair
I see fashion now with the 'retro 70's' look and think 'ah, some day you wearer of these clothes will look back and say - - - what was I thinking?!?!' Let's just hope that avacado green doesn't make a comeback.
