My other pick is Scarlett Johansson

I like their bodies because they've got curves and knowing my own body, I've kept my curves throughout and I like to have them even though for some reason, mainstream thinks curves=fat.

I think she (Kim) looks great), but not because she is my ideal. There are endless ways to look fabulous. She is clearly at as low of a weight as would be healthy for her and at least appears to be reasonably fit. So to be critical of her behind is no different than hating your own body even when it is at its own healthy weight and level of fitness.

On the other hand, it's perfectly normal for everyone to have their own idea of what is most attractive to them. I'm not sure what the middle ground is. Maybe the middle ground is not that we shouldn't have opinions, but that body features just aren't as important as soooooo many other things in a life or relationship.

Yup, my stretch marks on my stomach go all of the way up to my breasts, pretty much. I gained about 80 lbs within less than a year, so my arms, breasts, stomach, legs, calves, and booty are COVERED.

They're pretty faded now, I'm thinking about getting a spray tan and seeing if it'll help cover them up, some. You cant really see them from far away, but the loose skin is definately a pain. Especially on my stomach.

I have admired their figures for years...strong, but still curvy and feminine, and more importantly, those figures can MOVE.

She is clearly at as low of a weight as would be healthy for her and at least appears to be reasonably fit. So to be critical of her behind is no different than hating your own body even when it is at its own healthy weight and level of fitness.

I don't understand your reasoning, I am afraid. Especially the last sentence

"to be critical of her behind is no different than hating your own body even when it is at its own healthy weight and level of fitness."

Why do you assume that I hate my own body? I don't, and never have, even when I was at my highest weight. To hate my body would be in denial about who is to blame for what the body has become. The body got a bit too big only as a result of my own decision to eat freely whatever and whenever I wanted and at quantities I wanted and to not exercise. And although I am not quite yet at the healthy weight and level of fitness I would like, I am quite proud of my accomplishments. Where do you see the hate in this?
However, no matter what attitude I have to my own body, I don't see what it has to do with being critical of KK (although "critical" is, methinks, a bit of an overstatement). I simply do not consider her size of her behind attractive and to me, it seems rather unnatural. It's as if she was trying to thrust it out on purpose.

Many of the pictures posted here (of the celebrities whose bodies posters said they would like) are, in my opinion, quite confusing. Let's take the picture of Mariah Carey or Catherine Z-J as an example. I think people admire them as celebrities (as singers or actors, in our example) and consider them beautiful but the pictures presented show actually very little of the shape their bodies are in. For example, I don't think it would too difficult to achieve the look of C Z-J artfully draped over a chaise lounge - it may take us some fiddling and changing position, and thrusting out the hips to achieve the desired curvature, and so on. Yet the picture does not tell me much about the body, about the muscles, how fit the person is, etc.

If I was answering with that in mind, I would have posted a picture of Angelina Jolie. I consider her extremely attractive yet it does not mean I want her body. On the other hand, it equally does not mean that I don't think Dara Torres is unattractive. But the question was whose body do you want, and so that was the question I answered.

If I were going to pick a "role model" body, I think it would be Kate Winslet. But, then, I just like her as an actress, so it's probably hard for me to separate that.

Sorry, I don't know how to post photos.

I think it's partly semantics (or me just not being articulate enough) and partly that we will disagree. First, I was not talking about bodies that are overweight, I was talking about bodies at their own natural optimal weight and fitness. I think I was rather clear in saying that. So when you describe that you made your body fat by your choices, it's not your body's fault, and your on your way to goal, and where do I see hate in that, I never talked about that. And I don't think she (KK) looks unnatural, and she looks to me to be standing pretty straight. I think she just has a figure that is very not U.S. caucasian Hollywood. Personally, I don't find Angelina Jolie very natural looking. But we're all different :D. I also expressed (the part you didn't quote) that "it's perfectly normal for everyone to have their own idea of what is most attractive to them. I'm not sure what the middle ground is. Maybe the middle ground is not that we shouldn't have opinions, but that body features just aren't as important as soooooo many other things in a life or relationship." I don't have all the answers, and certainly liking or disliking a particular body is not inherently bad, but I was thinking that we are under such enormous pressure for perfection that is completely unachievable, because we are all shaped so differently, even at our so-called "ideal" weight. I was just thrwoing another idea out there. I was just looking for balance, and since I don't have it all figured out either, I hoped I'd hear how other people felt.

I don't understand your reasoning, I am afraid. Especially the last sentence

"to be critical of her behind is no different than hating your own body even when it is at its own healthy weight and level of fitness."

I didn't realize I had to justify it! I just looked online and found the first picture of her that looked pretty to me (I guess part of me figured that most people know what Catherine Zeta Jones looks like - the picture was just a for example).

In my opinion, she has a lovely dancer's body (shown to great effect in Chicago) - she looks strong but still has a womanly shape (for example, her arms look nice - not too thin or too ropey). Plus, I think she has a beautiful face and AWESOME hair. It's not just her body I like, I like pretty much everything about the way she looks.

I just think she's (http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-xLZmtx8FFw/RpU_Aq-6jlI/AAAAAAAAALc/-1Cj3SiVE9Q/catherinezeta-jones_017.jpg) incredibly (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://images.askmen.com/galleries/actress/catherine-zeta-jones/pictures/catherine-zeta-jones-picture-5.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.askmen.com/women/galleries/actress/catherine-zeta-jones/picture-5.html&h=490&w=376&sz=34&hl=en&start=46&sig2=mybyO2TN6QFPvlfDVH-GFw&usg=__ZYc8OUV-z0b4pGiXUn2dT8KJCfs=&tbnid=kp9B4kcjjGwZMM:&tbnh=130&tbnw=100&ei=fAbpSPLRC5WWsQOD5oykCQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcatherine%2Bzeta%2Bjones%2Bbeautiful% 26start%3D36%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D18%26hl%3Den%26sa% 3D) good (http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2008/specials/redcarpet/reddresses/catherine_zeta_jones.jpg) looking (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/03_01/CatherWaveSPL_468x646.jpg) (particularly in Entrapment (http://lanyokanyja.freeblog.hu/files/Entrapment.jpg) and Zorro! Ladies-

The original question was simply asking who's body we would have, if we could.

You don't even HAVE to post photos...a simple name would do just fine.

Like Glory stated, she figured everyone already knew who Catherine Zeta Jones was, so she didn't analyze her photo to be sure that it was a photo that showed her figure well. The only reason that I posted photos myself, is because unless you are affiliated with Middle Eastern dance...the average person does not know who Jillina or Dondi is...

Photos showing the person's figure clearly are not a mandatory thing for this thread-as it was simply asking a question.

Also, I don't believe that anyone has to explain, or give the reasons for their choices-or defend them for that matter. Some people here like more muscular physiques, some thin, and some prefer curvy. Everyone has a different idea of what beauty is, and what they personally find attractive.

No, you don't have to justify it. I was only trying to explain that I interpreted the question differently; for some reason, I assumed that we would have the body of somebody else while keeping our own faces and hair - don't ask me why. While you would want to look completely like C Z-J, because you like her face and hair.
