Default Zinfandel Please!!

Does anyone else have a love for alcohol?Like some people love chocolate and it's their one downfall?? Wine is my chocolate. I love it. Not in an alcoholic kind of way, i just love socialising with my friends and having some wine. I could easily live without chocolate, but give me a glass of Zinfandel any day!! I know this cant be helping my weight loss... it would be nice to know someone else feels this way!

Cat,

My favorite is Ernst & Julio Gallo White Zinfandel (California), it's a sweet pink wine. No, it's not good to drink alcohol for weight loss, but I try to keep myself at 1-4oz glass every other day or so. Now, because I'm doing Weight Watchers, it's worth 2 pts - I make sure that I work out that day prior to have a glass of wine so that they negate each other (calories burned/calories consumed).

There's nothing wrong with loving wine - the key is moderation! Good Luck!

/Cher

p.s. If you are with friends and feel like you are going to be having more than 1 glass - mix 1/2 + 1/2 with a clear diet soda (ie. 7-up,sprite,gingerale). That way you'll get 2 drinks for the same calories as 1 ... & it won't be so bad - calorie speaking - if you have let's say ... 4 glasses of 1/2+1/2

I love a good Riesling any day I learned how to drink wine when I was in wine country in Europe. They mix coke with red wine, and a lemon flavored sparking water with the white wines. It's DELICIOUS! Saves calories. I do diet 7-up now that i"m back in the states, it's so yummy and saves calories!

I like a good pinot gris or pinot noir, riesling will do too!

I've been known to skip dinner and drink it instead on a friday or saturday night when I just want a bottle of wine to unwind. I'm not saying thats a good thing to do, but I've been known to do it.

I'm not big on the wine but I sure do love beer. I've switched to Michelob Ultra when I go out or Miller 64 cause they're pretty decent on calories, for beer anyway. I've been trying to stay away from my rum and coke binges I started the semester off on- they're so cheap at one of the bars here. But I did have one the other night with diet coke instead. I don't drink a lot when I'm not in school, I'm not a stress eater I'm a stress drinker. At least when you stress eat you have a clear mindset afterwards lol
