I'm looking to buy a digital scale to weigh food to help with portion control. I want a scale that's really accurate and possible does alternate weights (like ounces and grams.) Can I get some input on what would be best to invest in?

I remember there was a relatively cheap ($20) one for sale at Linens 'n Things. But, I don't know brand names.

(The one I bought isn't digital, but I just went into the store & spent a quick $10 to have some way to measure my food.)

this is the scale that i have. It was failry cheap and works just fine. It has ounces and grams and a tare button. Nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done.

Try Bed Bath and Beyond. They have some really good scales there, and you can get 20% off coupons! :P

Crate and Barrel has a really knowledgeable staff, although I don't know how many stores carry digi scales.

This is the one I have and it is fantastic. It gives you the actual calories and nutrition information on foods that do not come with a nutrition label. The scale is very accurate and the best thing I like about it is the fact the the "tray" thing that you sit the food/bowl on does not come off. The one I had from Target used to come off all the time and if it did not sit exactly where is should it weighed wrong.

I have an Escali scale that does both grams and ounces and has a tare feature. I really like it.
