Food Talk And Fabulous Finds - What's your favorite tea?View Full Version : What's your favorite tea? crazy4weightloss 09-12-2008, 02:44 PM With the cooler months coming up I always drink hot tea. I need some new flavors though. What do you like? mariarose 09-12-2008, 03:03 PM My current kick is teas with mint, since they are really good as is (without sweetener, milk, lemon etc). Plus, they are simultaneously warm AND refreshing! Black: Bigelow Plantation Mint Green: Tazo Zen Herbal: Peppermint (Celestial seasonings is really good, but most will taste pretty much the same, since the only ingredient is peppermint. You could probably just steep some peppermint leaves...) brn2bthn 09-12-2008, 03:10 PM Stash Tea - Licorice Spice MBN 09-12-2008, 03:25 PM I love the TAZO organic chai spiced black tea. I drink it with just a splash of soy milk and some sweetener. It has a spicy kick, very warming! JerseyGyrl 09-12-2008, 03:27 PM Celestial Seasonings Chocolate Raspberry Bliss  Here we go again 09-12-2008, 03:32 PM I love yerba mata.... it's so good for you. pamatga 09-12-2008, 03:33 PM I just read an article today that new research is out that chamomile tea will help Type 2 diabetes! In fact, the research is so encouraging a drug that is chamomile-based may be created to treat Type 2 diabetes!! I think I am going to add that to my list of "favorites".;) Edge2007 09-12-2008, 03:44 PM Zhena's Gypsy Tea - Coconut Chai ... it is SO good! Chamomile is nice too. A good relaxing tea. :) Teresa julie99s 09-12-2008, 03:52 PM This week, since the kids brought something home from school and shared it with me... Eccinecea. lol I like Sweet dream when I'm not sick. Other than that, I'm not a huge tea drinker. Heffalump 09-12-2008, 04:00 PM I'm an earl grey fiend, in fact I'm just about to go out and get some because I'm all cleaned out. Trader Joe's is my favorite for bags, Tealuxe for the loose variety. Also high on my list are peppermint and spearmint teas in all variations and various forms of chai - currently my favorites are Bigelow Vanilla Chai and Celestial Seasonings Sweet Coconut Thai, but I'm switching around a lot. Occasionally, I'm having green and white tea epsiodes which never seem to last long, but while they last I'm a fool for Gen Mai Cha (with toasted rice flavor), silver needle and jasmine tea. zenor77 09-12-2008, 04:53 PM Ten Ren is my favorite brand of tea. They have a website you can order from or some Asian markets carry them. The Mountain High Oolong is my favorite! It is hands down the best oolong I've ever had. ToutDeSuite 09-12-2008, 05:11 PM I love regular Lipton decaf and mango flavored black tea. nelie 09-12-2008, 05:22 PM Upton Tea's Melange De Chamonix. It is a cardamom/chocolate tea and is divine. http://www.uptontea.com/shopcart/item.asp?from=catalog.asp&itemID=TE94&begin=10&parent=Teas%3EMiscellaneous%3EFlavored&category=Black&sortMethod=0&categoryID=32 For plain tea, I like regular lipton. I really like jasmine tea for a green tea, any brand. murphmitch 09-12-2008, 06:48 PM Bigelow Jasmine Green. I also go to a tea store to buy whole leaf tea. I like one called Organic Jasmine Pearls. Very mild green tea. I have a little mesh tea infuser that I use with the whole leaf teas. cottagebythesea 09-12-2008, 06:52 PM During the cooler months, I have a mug of tea at my side constantly. Of course, that's after my morning pot of coffee is gone. :) My favorites during the day are PG Tips and Trader Joe's green tea w/jasmine. In the evening I switch to Celestial Seasons Chamomile and Sleepytime. mamaspank 09-12-2008, 06:55 PM I love peppermint tea and jasmine green tea. I also love coconut black tea with real coconut. I can't stand anything with just flavoring. Just taste ick to me. JulieJ08 09-12-2008, 07:01 PM I love regular Lipton decaf and mango flavored black tea. I like that one too :D. HisBeloved 09-12-2008, 07:08 PM I love just about all the yogi teas, chai spice, vanilla thai orange etc. Many are naturally sweetened with either stevia leaf, or licorice. A word of caution though, if you have high bp I would avoid anything sweetened with Licorice root, as it has been known to raise bp. crazy4weightloss 09-13-2008, 07:27 AM Upton Tea's Melange De Chamonix. CTink64 09-13-2008, 08:17 PM My absolute favorite is TAZO CALM....its soothing and not acidic, so I can drink it as often as I want all winter!! WebRover 09-13-2008, 09:24 PM Constant Comment Earl Grey Green tea with Jasmine & Passionfruit mollymom 09-14-2008, 07:20 PM Only in Canada you say..pity. I just found President's Choice Chocolate Chai teabags. The tea is delicious, in fact I am drinking it now!!!!! With a touch of cream and some sweetener, a hint of chocolate and that great spicy chai. Mind you I love Chai tea all the time. DianaG 09-21-2008, 10:51 AM I am a traditionalist I guess, I absolutely love Earl Grey tea in the mornings when it is cool outside. I get the Twinning's and it is never disappointing. When I want a flavor in my tea I prefer the mint varieties. Spearmint is my favorite, but mixes of spearmint and peppermint are good too. I love the Celestial Seasonings sleepytime tea before bed. It is good by itself and the smell is delightful. :yoga: Diana Ufi 09-21-2008, 04:15 PM Good Earth is great for fall. Both the caf and decaf varieties are yummy. Wolf Goddess 09-21-2008, 05:05 PM Lipton black Stash Spiced Black Chai Bigelow Eggnoggin and Pumpkin Spice Yogi Sweet Thai Delight I adore pretty much every spiced tea that I've tried. The fruity ones I'm not as fond of, but I've yet to meet a chai that I dislike. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
