Food Talk And Fabulous Finds - Taco Bell FrescoView Full Version : Taco Bell Fresco ToutDeSuite 09-11-2008, 09:01 AM Here's the new Fresco line-up at Taco Bell. http://www.tacobell.com/fresco/ julie99s 09-11-2008, 10:38 AM lol I was opening up email on my phone about this very thing as I opened this. I love taco bell. Yum! ToutDeSuite 09-11-2008, 10:56 AM HungryGirl? julie99s 09-11-2008, 12:22 PM Yup! Shannon in ATL 09-11-2008, 12:28 PM We've had the fresco menu here in Atlanta for several months... I love it love it love... I actually took the whole pico instead of cheese idea and applied it to my made at home tacos as well. :) far 09-11-2008, 12:35 PM I LOVE Taco Bell, it was the firs thing I ate after giving birth to my first child ^_^ LLV 09-11-2008, 10:52 PM I love Taco Bell as well. Unfortunately, our local TB doesn't know what Fresco means. I can't count how many times I've ordered my food "Fresco style" and I still end up with cheese or sour cream or sauce on my food. I now have to literally tell them, for example, "A chicken soft taco with lettuce and Fresco style salsa ONLY." I can't say "Fresco style" to those people because they have no idea what I'm talking about. I even wrote to TB TWICE and complained about that and I assumed they would contact that particular TB and get it rectified, but nope - they still screw my order up every time. Yes, they add the Fresco salsa - along with the cheese/sauce/sour cream. To them, Fresco style means add the salsa, but don't remove any other ingredients. It really p's me off. Marms 09-11-2008, 11:02 PM The TB I go to also does not understand what fresco style is. If I'm lucky they will remove the cheese, but the sour cream is usually still there. I even went through the drive through at the TB near work last week and ordered a Fresco bean burrito (which was on the menu, under the freso section) and the lady rudely snapped back that they don't do fresco there. Then, um, why is it on your menu? How hard is it to sub salsa for cheese?? LLV 09-12-2008, 10:59 AM The TB I go to also does not understand what fresco style is. And you'd think it would be EASIER to slap on just salsa instead of cheese and sour cream. :halfempty crazy4weightloss 09-12-2008, 02:43 PM We have had the fresco menu for awhile. I love it. 3 crunchy tacos for 9 points is worth it to me when I'm having one of those days. Gela 09-14-2008, 07:14 AM I also love the fresco menu. The spicy chicken soft tacos are also yummy! I order extra salsa and lettuce  shai4u 11-19-2008, 04:50 PM hi my name is shai. I'm new here and am excited to share my weight loss progresss with everyone who is also working towards a healthier body. How do i get one of those neat little things on the bottom that tracks my weight loss? Thanks cbmare 11-19-2008, 05:26 PM Welcome, shai4u. This is a great place. I think you have to post for a while before you can get a signature and weight tracker. They require that because some jerks have come in here and either spammed or left a virus or something. However, try Ticker Factory. cbmare 11-19-2008, 05:29 PM We've had the Fresco style for quite a while. They actually have the little brochures in the restaurant. Try taking one of those up to the register and point to what you want. You might have to get hold of the district manager. You can also go on line with your receipt number and file a complaint. If they get enough complaints about a single location, someone will have to pay attention. kelly315 11-19-2008, 05:30 PM even though I'm dieting, I still eat cheesy bean and rice burritos every once in a while. They're big enough to be a whole meal, lots of protein to make me full for a long time, and it only has 460 calories (which is pretty much what I eat for a meal anyway). Yum. Can't beat a meal for $1.29 cuteazz1 11-20-2008, 06:34 PM It's funny because my local Taco bell has those brochures too but they don't seem to understand "fresco'.I luvs me some Taco bell. kaplods 11-20-2008, 08:34 PM Complain to the manager directly, and if the problem isn't fixed in what you feel is a reasonable time, contact the regional office - and keep going up the chain of command until you get a satisfactory response. Deviating from the approved menu is a pretty serious offense in franchiseland, because it undermines the very purpose of a franchise restaurant - that the consumer can rely on the food being consistent in flavor, quality, and value whether they're in Alaska or Wyoming. MISFIT 01-06-2009, 02:20 PM I can't bear to walk into Taco Bell yet! It's probably my only weakness.. It's just the aroma of chicken quesidillas, you know? BfL_Cat 01-08-2009, 01:44 PM I was in a newer store recently, and they actually had a Fresco section right on the main menu board! But, I've also been in others that don't know what it means. I think the whole thing has not been launched very consistently company-wide! Cindy shananigans 01-13-2009, 02:51 PM I don't really like to eat fast food if I can help it (tastes “processed” and too salty for me), but last time I was on the road I hit up a TB for a quick lunch. It's one of the few fast food joints vegans can rely on when other food options are scarce or unknown (subway is the other one). I had no idea that ordering their food vegan now had a name, but the cashier very nicely explained I can just order "fresco style". But it sounds like you can't do that at every TB, so I'll probably continue to ask explicitly for no sour cream and no cheese. RN BSN 2009 01-13-2009, 02:55 PM The fresco tastes good, but still too much calories for the amount of fill-up I get. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
