I guess on my earlier rant post someone told me it was great of me to help my sister out. That was good to hear :) Thanks!

Fiberlove - LOOL at you go!! I'm so very proud of you. GEEZ your almost at goal!!! YEA HAW!!!

Sorry for the loss of control I just had to print that. I'm so very happy for her.

Now the best thing I've heard was a couple days ago when my grandson said I was his best friend. He's 3 and is such a sweetheart.

honestly, I showed my baby sister my before and after face shots and she told me how crazy it was... she waited ten minutes and then sat in a chair - sighed and said "I wish I had a skinny face like you." I told the wee one she must be on the drugs and she was like "No serious, that i really cool about your face leaving."

Other than the nine year old... no compliments have been paid thus far. Then again - my family is a bunch of self absorbed morons. My mom heard about me losing weight and then decided she needs to force South Beach down my throat... but that is another blog entry entirely.

Last week, one of my residents told me that I look younger. Today, another resident told me that I looked pretty--and I actually feel pretty!

TOTALLY made my day!

My son put his arms around me in a big bear hug and said "Hey...my arms almost fit around you now!!" He's always hugging me and saying how proud he is. Such a sweet little guy.

My husband told me Saturday night that he thinks I am the sexiest woman alive and that he can't keep his hands off of me (and he couldn't). Part of me was like NO DON'T TOUCH ME, YOU'LL FEEL THE ROLLS, but I made myself relax when he hugged me. It's nice to be loved no matter what size I am, I am very lucky.

Today when I got my wax, my waxer told me that my skin was really starting to firm up from earlier this year. She said she's been noticing it the last few visits and she can really see a difference now.

That was awesome to hear, since my loose skin kinda bothers me a little.

This is such a nice thread and a great idea Beverly. Let's revive it!

My trainer told me yesterday that I'm the most motivated person she's ever met in real life. She says she's seen people lose weight and get in shape like that on television, but never in her life.

This is such a compliment coming from her as she's worked in gyms for 30 years.

:D Mine isn't really anything that anyone has said - it's that I've noticed a few guys actually checking me out :D OK - so I am very happily married but it's still pretty flattering when someone does a double take or, like the other day, I caught someone watching me pump my gas. Been so long since stuff like that has happened it took me a few times to realize they were looking on purpose - not glancing, grimacing at the fat lady, and looking away. :) Of course, I'm reasonably sure they are thinking "she looks pretty good for an old broad" but I'll take it..........

Yesterday somebody who used to babysit me said "Every time I see you, it never ceases to amaze me how great you look". It so made my day. and my week. or the year!

My fiance told me that I am the best person he's ever known.

(Not the best girl he's ever dated, not the best relationship he's ever been in, but the best PERSON -- man, woman, child, human -- he's ever met/known in his entire life). :)

Nice compliment.

"You're the best scrambled egg cooker in the world, Mommy!" This morning, by my 3 year old dd.

"You are so beautiful..." - DH, daily.

"You are transforming yourself right in front of me." Random guy at the gym. Recently.

Worst comment I've ever received: "That's a good *** to f***." Random guy at the mall a couple weeks ago. In front of my girls. I'm still ticked off.

I was hanging out with my little sister and some of her friends and one guy said, "So, how much older then you is Larz?" and I said, "She's my little sister, I'm three years older than her." and he was shocked.

People keep asking me when I am going to get a boyfriend. They are so shocked that someone hasnt snatched me up. I know it is odd but I didnt get that question very often when I was 100 pounds heavier. Infact, people want to set me up, now!! LOL

RoyalAThena,

I met my husband on a fixup during one of the periods when I had lost weight. The nicest thing is that even though I gained it all back (and a few extra) he thought I was sexy and beautiful at every weight! Go for it!

My nicest compliment, non-weight related. My sister asked if I had been to the hairdresser because my hair looked so good. I had done it myself...and I'm generally "hair impaired"

I recently hooked up with a college girlfriend online and we started exchanging pictures. I was nervous, as my "current" pics are still 60 + from where she saw me last 10 years ago! But she emailed me back and said, you look so HOT and you're so pretty! My husband wants to know if he can call you!

Then a friend called me "droopy drawers" because the only pair of jeans that still sort of fit me (stretch jeans) are too big in the butt.

What a great idea for a thread! :D

I went to visit my best friend at her school yesterday, and we went to the student convenience store-type place to get some snacks (yes, yesterday was 100% an off-plan day :o). While we were at the checkout, I was typing a text message on my phone and not really paying attention to what was going on around me, but as we walked out my friend said, "The checkout guy was smiling at you! He was checking you out! I think he's in love with you!" Of course she was just joking about the last part, heh, but I was so shocked. I don't think I have ever been "checked out" in my life, ever. I think she was probably mistaken, because although I've lost weight I certainly haven't lost enough weight to look that good, ha. BUT it still gave me quite a boost even to imagine the possibility that a guy would find me attractive. :D That's been an impossibility for pretty much as long as I can remember...

I was at a storytelling guild meeting over the weekend and some folks told me that I was the "go to" person for young children's (preschool) storytelling in Central Ohio. Wow - that made me feel terrific.

^ O/T but I never realized before that your "location" says Central Ohio! I'm from Ohio too! Very northern Ohio here. I love bumping into other Ohioans, whether it be online, or at my school (which is extremely diverse, but sadly lacking in midwest charm). I feel obligated to make a generic comment about Ted Strickland or the Bucks but I'll spare you, heh. :D

Sorry for the interruption! I couldn't contain my excitement. :o

My brother said to me the other day that he was glad he was my sister, because it had made him who he was. I thought that was so sweet.

And also I met a really nice guy when out with friends the other evening, and he said 'I don't want to scare you, but you are exactly the sort of girl I would want to marry someday.'

Some guy was pulling out of a parking space on a road near my house as I walked home today. He stopped, looked me up and down, grinned, made like he was gonna pull away, stopped, grinned again and drove off. I was convinced it must be because he recognised me or something, but I really didnt know him. I dont think I have ever been checked out before. Grinned the whole way home.

On reading this thread today I have actually had a wonderful comment said to me today. On meeting my BIL he told me I looked wonderful and can not believe how good I looked. Needless to say I have been on :cloud9: ever since.
