What?! i figured chickpea (garbonzo) flour would be compliant as it should be just ground chickpeas? i have been using it regularly!

Hey Pooky According to Nessa on the SBD forum on another site on page 164 of supercharged it says No flour
since she's a SBD Goddess ;) I'll trust in her but its up to you what you do

I am no expert but I would think in small doses it would be ok- where do you find this flour?

I can get it at my bulk food store.

Page 164 definitely says No in Phase I. It quotes soybean and nut flours, for example, so garbanzo flour would be included. I imagine this rule is there because the fours would be concentrated carbs, digested more quickly because they are in powder form. This could cause a bloodsugar spike and that's what we are trying to avoid.

it would be fine in P2 but you can also just use whole wheat flour.

Did you use smashed, cooked garbanzo beans or garbanzo bean flour?

The smashed, cooked beans would be fine.

I guess I was just assuming we were talking about p2... :/ I am bad about assuming things! lol. Thanks for the great advice guys! and thanks ruth for breaking it down for us! I never thought about how differently it would be digested!
