I have heard and read that wearing your pedometer on your shoe, provides a more accurate reading. Several of the women at my TOPS group have tried it and where quite impressed with it. I've been meaning to do so, but didn't want to risk losing my expensive Weight Watcher's pedometer (it was about $20), so I bought a $5 pedometer at Fleet Farm (they have the same or a similar model at Walmart), and I'm very surprised. It's more accurate than my WW model when I wear it on my waist. Since I've had no problem with the pedometer falling off, I'm going to attach my WW pedometer to the other shoe and compare the two.
I clipped the pedometer onto my shoelaces, but you can also clip it to the side of the shoe (some pedometers have to be clipped on the vertical to work correctly).
