South Beach Diet - Monday Chirpings

View Full Version : Monday Chirpings

:coffee2: Monday, my least favorite day of the week. At least this is the last full week of vacation for most of the kids around here before school starts. ;) We had a very productive day yesterday, and the kitchen is starting to really look great! It's amazing how much I can accomplish when the kids aren't here. I even finally had time to plant two new hibiscus and some petite peach trees that had been languishing in their pots most of the summer.

I don't know what today will bring, but it's going to be a beautiful day so I plan on some outside activities. Perhaps a bike ride and picnic.

How's everyone doing today?

08-18-2008, 07:26 AM
Morning Cottage, it's always good to get a few things done around the house that has been setting.... I know it'll finally feel good once I get the desk that I haven't touched in three years refinished! (Iknow, I'm bad.)

OK, Saturday I had answered an ad for a purebred chocolate lab that needed a new home. MY sis came over from out of town and we went to pick up Biko. Well, Biko liked Jade a little too much, and I felt he was just too big, so ds took her home with her. Her three children are loving him. This dog is HUGE. Looks more like Mastiff to me, the size of his head and body. But upon more research last night I came across an AKC registered dog just as big. I've NEVER seen a lab this big!

Well, last night I found another black lab up for adoption. I'm going to go meet him tonight. He's almost two hours away from me, but he's 7 mos old, akc papered and utd on shots!

Am I crazy to bring another dog home? Jade is a great companion, but I thought another dog might be good for her.

08-18-2008, 07:28 AM
Good morning, Cottage. You sound pretty perky - getting things done does that. Thanks for the tree planting reminder - I have a Japanese lilac languishing in its pot since June!

It's supposed to be hot and humid with T-storms today. I plan to do some outside work this morning, turn on the AC and work inside this afternoon. I do have to pick up prescriptions and return some big coffee urns but after that, the day is mine - unless the cousins show up. (Gotta make a pie or two for the freezer!)

Did you folks see Matt's post late yesterday? What an adorable baby he's holding.

Hope your Monday is productive.
Loriann, if the lab and Jade get along, why not? The best gift you can give your dog is another canine companion. They are pack animals and, although they love us, need one of their own because we don't quite cut it. (I think it has to do with butt sniffing! )

08-18-2008, 07:30 AM
Hey Cottage, Glad to hear your kitchen renovations are coming along nicely. Today is my father's Birthday... My mom is making her all day-slow cooked pasta sauce for a pasta , I'm making a vegie packed salad.... now here comes the food porn... 5 types fruit ice cream and chocolate brownies for dessert! Oi veh! I will be good...i will be good....i will be good...

Have a great day everyone!

Similpost... HI Loriann and Ruth!

08-18-2008, 07:34 AM
Just a flyby for me. My youngest is getting sedated this morning for some dental work. :( She was born without enamel on her teeth so they will be capping them with white caps. Hopefully that will do the trick and there will be no more problems. It's just hard to put them under when they are so little and as a mommy I can't help but think of all the things that can go wrong.... anyway, have a great day everyone! Off to the hospital...

Morning Cottage and Loriann,

A bike ride and a picnic sounds great!

The more dogs the better! I'm a huge dog lover.

Have a great Monday.

I'm doing the usual, writing and running errands.

08-18-2008, 07:50 AM
How's Hershey doing this morning, Ruth? I hope her skin problems are looking better.

Loriann I think Jade would love to have a buddy to keep her from getting lonely when you go back to work. I hope you find the perfect friend for her and you!

indigal, Happy Birthday to your dad!

AutumnRose, I hope the dental procedure goes well, and quickly! I'm sure she's in good hands, try not to worry.

Belle Mer, I hope you have a productive day of writing. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that Fay doesn't pay you visit. Stay safe!

Matt, congratulations on being an uncle! The baby is just precious!

08-18-2008, 07:58 AM
Morning all! How many people post from their tent?! Dedicated or insane, that's the question ;) I need to get motivated to make coffee. I miss my coffee maker with the timer! Breakfast will be egg muffins and whole wheat bread from the bakery store near here. Then it's off to watch birds, ride bikes, and generally enjoy Maine while avoiding crowds.

Cottage - Enjoy your outside day

Loriann - Good luck with the puppy!

Ruth - Any cousins show up yet??

Autumn - here's to a fast procedure and all coming out as hoped for.

 everyone. I need to get moving now. Have a good day!

08-18-2008, 08:35 AM
Good morning! You ladies are up and going WAAAYYYY to early!!

Autumn - hope your daughter does okay!

Otherwise, I'm skippin' the personals today.

Me - short day at work, then off to go hiking with a friend! I feel guilty not working out this weekend, but between the on-call and the cold, I'm wiped out! That's okay, cuz the scale was kind to me!

Hope you have a great day!

Morning chicks, everyone sounds chipper this morning. I had a great weekend and I am feeling rested finally. Very quiet day today, so I am going to try to get some organizing done, school starts here in two weeks. Well gotta to dash a major todo list to finish. Have a great day chicks.

08-18-2008, 09:41 AM
Hello! quickie for me as my busy weekend seemed to extend over into my Monday and then theres all eyes on Fay and where shes headed so theres lots of prep to be done.

On another note I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and couldn't believe how much smaller/thinner my face is getting - I'm soo loving it.

Hope you all have a great day! Cya later!

08-18-2008, 09:49 AM
Good morning! My butt seems to be dragging this morning.

Cottage hope you find something great to do outdoors today, it is supposed to warm back up here by the end of the week.
Loriann your not crazy for wanting another dog.
Ruth hope your day stays a "you" day.
indi sending you some :dust:
Autumn sending good vibes your way for the dentist today
belle may the words flow freely from your fingers today
Cyndi Hope you are having a great time camping.
Twynn Enjoy the hike!

My body is playing evil tricks on me and I can't put my finger on what is wrong. Scales are all over the place from a high of 115.8 last week down to 112 Friday when TOM arrived and now up to 116 today. Things aren't "moving" very well either. So today is going to be water filled. Time to do some tinkering with my food combos again and perhaps put that darn scale away for awhile! I'm not going to stress over it, just need to figure out what up before it gets out of control.

Hope you all have a great day!

08-18-2008, 09:59 AM
Morning girls and Matt!

Oh my gosh, I slept like a ROCK last night. Tommy and I were watching Boston Legal on DVD (we just love that show) and before I knew it, I was unconscious. He woke me up at the end of an episode. I don't even remember closing my eyes.

Then we got in our spots and all snuggled up and it was warm in there so we just had the sheet on us with the comforter at the end of the bed. I fell asleep like that on my right side and woke up this morning, FREEZING, in the same position. Guess I was out all night. I feel fantastic this morning though!

Monday is my least favorite day of the week too. I hate having to go back to work. I'm so excited about my vacation starting the 29th!

Well, time to get moving. Hope all you girls and Matt have a good day!

08-18-2008, 10:01 AM
Good morning everyone. Today is Day 1 for me on Phase 1. Feeling good about it! Got my early morning workout in, ready to start my day!
My kids start school on Wednesday... tryin to cram those last minutes of fun in!
Have a great day!

08-18-2008, 10:05 AM
I just started thinking last week about how I have a maximum of 11 weeks left at work before maternity leave...crazy! I have so much to do!! I am trying to keep things neat and filed in case something would happen and I'd have to go early or on bedrest. I wouldn't want someone to have to dig through my desk...I am usually a huge mess.

It's 8 and my back is already hurts all the time now. I've really only had one or two bad "side effects" from the pregnancy but this one is extremely painful. I go to the chiro at 9:30 if I don't shrivel up and cry before then!!

The weekend was good. I was totally exhausted on Friday night after working and volunteering and went to bed at 8. Took naps both weekend days too. Had major cooking projects on Saturday and supper club Sat night.

Here's to trying to be cheerful this Monday morning. :)

08-18-2008, 10:09 AM
Good morning chicks and Matt!
Before I forget, Matt posted a picture of his new nephew at the end of the weekend thread ladies, in case you didn't see it. He is ADORABLE Matt!
Oh, now I see I'm not the only one to point this out.
Not much going on around here today. Work, the usual, but it's a gorgeous day and we'll make the best of it despite it being Monday!
Oh, I was bad last night. I got the munchies fierce. Good thing I have the weekly chocolate stashed at my parents house for just that reason. But I did find some mini-choc chips and ate some granola I had gotten for the kids. I think I'm gonna have to throw that away.

It's TOM Steph, don't let it stress you out! Take a scale vacation if you need to.
lc, you will be glad when school starts right? Have you had the kids all summer?
Good morning Gonna with your skinny face! Don't you love how your eyes look bigger?
Enjoy your hike Twynn! Sounds like you really deserve a break.
Hello there in the woods Cyndi! My brother's family was near Bar Harbor all week. Have you seen them? :p
Hugs to you and DD this morning Autumnrose!
Good morning Belle! (whenever I write that I think of the scene from Beauty and the Beast where Belle is walking through the village and everyone is singing "bonjour" and saying good morning to Belle!).
Have a great outing cottage!
Yes, Loriann I do think you are crazy, but keep in mind I am not a dog-owner (don't hate me!).
Have a great day Ruth!
Indi, happy birthday to Dad, and you behave now! Do as I say, not as I do!

Okay, I have a telecon in a few, but should be short and sweet today, as bossman is on travel.
Have a lovely day.

Yikes, major simulposting!
Good morning weezle, jen, and Jessie.

08-18-2008, 10:17 AM
Happy Monday, Chickies and Roosters! This might be a quick one if students show up--it's the first day of school and while I don't expect anyone needing help with a paper just yet, they might come in to say, "Hi!" :D

I'm assuming you didn't do that planting in the kitchen...right, Cottage? What all are you doing with your kitchen? The peach trees sound amazing! How fun!

Loriann, we've had the same delimma...our Angel loooovves dogs and we think she'd be much happier with another puppy to hang with, but are afraid it'll be too much work (we have two bunnies too!). Some friends have said that two dogs means less work, and some say it means more...just depends on how the dogs get along and influence each other. I think you know best for your Jade. Glad you're adopting. Are you using They are AWESOME! We've gotten three pets through them...but I have a strict rule with myself not to go on unless we definitely are looking for another, because I just can't help myself once I start looking!

:lol3: about the butt sniffing, Ruth! I think you're right! What does a Japanese lilac look like?

Indigal, are you on Phase 1? Otherwise, maybe you can bring some WW pasta for the sauce so you don't feel deprived? And have some really delicious summer fruit for dessert? Here's some :dust: to help! :D

Lots of prayers for your little one, Autumn. I'm sure it'll go really well!

Hi, Belle and LC!

Matt, I haven't seen the adorable pic, yet, but :congrats: on being an uncle! I just became an Aunt in May and am loving it!

Yay for the face NSV, Gonna! Hope Fay stays away! :crossed:

Good for you, Stephanie, for not stressing over the scale. It can be so confusing! Keep up the water and maybe add some good fiber? I find psyillium husk in a smoothie helps a lot, as do FiberChoice tablets. And exercise...if you move, it'll move, if you know what I mean! ;)

Glad you got good sleep, Lisa!

Had a great weekend...several bike rides, sleep-ins, snuggles with DH and the puppy while watching movies or Olympics, and we even did some stuff around the house, hanging pictures and such. Back to work today. First day of school (community college) for our students, so it's really starting up. I'm joining a friend and her dog for a walk today, then we'll go back to her house and let our pups enjoy her fenced in yard. Should be fun for me and for Angel! :D

Have a beachy day! :beach:

Wow, Cyndi, you ARE dedicated! I LOVE Maine....have a blast!

Enjoy the hiking, Twynn!

08-18-2008, 10:18 AM
Sorry for the simulposting! Hi to all who came after!

Jessie, what kind of work do you do? I thought you mostly worked from home, so I'm confused! Hope your back feels much better!

08-18-2008, 10:29 AM
Linda, I read that you had *painted* your plants! Man, I need to make sure I'm going slower here. Hope you have a good picnic! I can't wait to find my other bike pedal that's hiding in the garage somewhere so we can take some biking trips around here!

Ruth, how's your knee been? Hope you get your planting done!

Indi (I completely forget your name...started with a K?), good luck at the dinner tonight and happiest of birthdays to your dad!

Autumn, best of luck for your little one!

Hi, Belle!

Cyndi, sounds like you've got an action-packed relaxing day!!!

Twynn, glad you had a good scale day! That's a great way to start the week!

Good luck with your list, LC!

Gonna, so happy to hear you're loving the mirror! Keep up the good work!

Stephanie, good luck with the scale dilemma! Sounds like some good ol' hormones at work, if you ask me.

Lisa, your avatar is just gorgeous! Hope you have a productive day!!! Where are you going on vacation?

Good luck with Phase 1, Jenny!!! You'll do great!

Jessie, have you tried any prenatal yoga? I was a total convert after it COMPLETELY cured my heart burn with Kadyn's pregnancy. I'm sure your chiropractor will have great tips, too!

Schmoo, look at your ticker!!! You are AWESOME!

Laurie, have fun in the center! I hope you get some visitors.

We've had a good day so far. I'm in the middle of laundry, which is always fun! Avery's running around in a leotard (goodness knows why!), Kadyn is "reading" books, and Connor is doing his math. Or, rather, Connor is *supposed to be* doing his math. He was screaming through his schoolwork until he hit this snag. He completely understands it but isn't doing the work. I should probably get off the computer!

Or not. :)

Actually, I do have a lot of straightening up to do so I should go. Our third floor seems to be in a constant state of mess. I bought some Rubbermaids to try to get things together so I'm going to go attack that job.

Happy Mondaying!

08-18-2008, 10:38 AM
Thanks Kara! Not going anywhere fancy, as Little Guy has school, but Labor Day Weekend I think we're going down south to visit with Tom's family. His grandma isn't doing very well, health-wise, so we need to get down there as much as possible. I'm just glad to have a break from work!!!!!! :D

08-18-2008, 10:43 AM
Laurie, No, I don't work at home. I am a copy editor for a Christian publisher.

Kara, I haven't done prenatal yoga...although it sounds lovely. I am sure it couldn't hurt the back issues. I may have to check out a DVD from the library.

08-18-2008, 11:08 AM
Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I am excited about starting SB and getting know all of you.

08-18-2008, 11:42 AM
Good morning Chickies

Busy busy day at work so no time for personals just wanted to

08-18-2008, 11:51 AM
Good morning all!!! Happy Monday!
Cottage - Enjoy your time with the girls today, whatever activity might come.

Loriann - I think two dogs is good for the pups. Like Ruth said, their pack animals and really tend to do better when they can play with each other. I think it actually calms them down.

Ruth - Enjoy your productive day. I hope you're able to get everything done

Indigal - Have fun at your father's bday party. But BE GOOD!!!! This is not an excuse to go hog wild. You can do it!!!

Autumnrose - You're poor little one. I hope all goes well at the dentist.

Belle -

Cyndi - You're a little crazy posting from your tent. But I'm happy to "see" you! Have fun in Maine and be safe camping.

Twynnb - Enjoy your hike!

l/c - So glad that things are slowing down for you. I hope you're able to really focus on getting things done and settled today.

Gonnabe - Don't you just love it when you start noticing things on your body as a result of how we're eating. Enjoy that thin face!!!

Stephanie - Just be sure to get that water in. It will steady soon. And yeah, if need be, get rid of the scale for a while.

Weezle - Good to hear that you slept well last night. I know it's been a struggle in the recent past. Get through'll bring you one day closer to your vacation.

Jenskihere - Nice of you to join us on the chat! Good luck on your first day. I hope you planned smartly. Be sure to get your water and dairy in.

Jessie - I'm sure things will be fine at your work when you leave. You seem to be very responsible and understand why it's important to be on top of things. You're going to be a great mom!!!

Schmoodle - Hope your telecon is short. Doesn't sound like your munchies were too bad, but if the granola will get you, then Yes...throw it out!

Beachgal - What do you do at the Community college??? Have fun with the pups today.

Kara - Good luck getting things done today. May your organizing of the third floor be successful!

Theresa - Welcome to the chat!

ME - So we finally got around to seeing the Dark Knight yesterday. What an incredible movie! All of the actors were phenomenal but Heath Ledger was off the charts. It makes me angry that he's no longer with us. What a talent. Went to dinner last night at a great fish house, had grilled sturgeon, caramelized veggies (shallots, carrots, & snap peas), and summer grains. It was a FANTASTIC meal. Particularly because I HATE peas & carrots, but the veggies were cooked so well. I might actually try to replicate it. SO GOOD!
The scale was very kind this morning. I'm really going to try to be good this week before we head off to North Carolina for a long weekend vacation (when all bets are off). So the new number made me really pleased!!! Today the exterminator is coming by to make sure we are clear of critters so that the maintenance guy can come back and we can get a new dish washer. I've also got lots of errands to run, which includes buying new bras since I'm down to one.
Have a great Monday!

08-18-2008, 11:59 AM
I ended up working 13 hours yesterday so I didn't get much of anything done. We never even made it to church although we were dressed to go. At least someone came on at 11PM to take over for me.

I'm on vacation this week and need to get all the packing done today. I dropped Brian at day care so he can have fun with his friends and I've got a pool repairman coming today to flush out the blockage in the pipes. I really should have removed the tree sooner. I hope he can come as it's raining again.

Tomorrow morning we leave for San Antonio. At least I finally confirmed that the school supply sale is Saturday as well as Friday so I can get his stuff when we get back. One more week until school starts!

08-18-2008, 12:13 PM
Wow, Kara is back! Welcome! I hope everything is going well for you and your family :)

Everything is peachy around here. Getting ready to go to the zoo with DS.

Trying to find a car to rent for the drive back to Arkansas....

off to buy some clothes for DS2 :)

Hope everyone has a fantastic Monday, and rest of the week if I don't talk to you!

Hcmacneil; whenever you want a weather report I'm ready. Are you going to the Outer Banks or something, or the mountains? NC is so boring to me that I can't think of much other places someone would go. When we first moved here from NY, we took a long trip to the mountains and that was crazy-fun. There is also a odd place my BF was just telling me about called "harker's island" where the people are strange... they talk just like pirates, fishing is their life, and they're pretty much isolated from the modern civilization, I guess is the best way to put it. BF claims they make all their own clothes and stuff. There's some cool stuff in some of the big cities too.

GONNABE165 you have a great face btw.

Hi Theresa, where are you from?

Matt: adorable little baby!

Me: I was stuck in that church all day yesterday, despite really not wanting to go at all, we talked to the pastor and showed him the court papers and he said that it seemed to him that bf's mom doesn't really have a strong enough case against them, and that it just seems like she's just saying all that stuff just to keep her. What's even better is that he is friends with and influential towards some judges.

Great news: Bf's friend was gonna try his best to give him a loan for $2500... he was supposed to go to Mt Olive to work a big job in a couple of weeks and then hook my BF up. BF didn't wanna go all the way to Mt Olive on a weekend since he has me and the baby at home (and I questioned his friend's true intentions) so that is why his friend was going alone. Yesterday I swallowed my paranoia and told BF, "well, why don't you just go with him to Mt Olive and make your money to pay for the lawyer... that way it's fair and clean and you don't have to be burdened with owing somebody something. Making your money is the best way to go... and you need it." So he agreed and went to his buddy's house and talked to him, and then came home, and suprise surprise! The buddy really never had any shady motivations for wanting my BF to come with him on the weekend, he told my BF, "you can only go if Melanie and the baby come along, and I'll get them a motel room." Well that is more comfortable for me AND bf AND the buddy, because then I can't accuse BF of stuff, and BF doesn't have to worry that when he comes home he will be accused of stuff, and the buddy doesn't have to worry about being accused of trying to influence my BF into doing wrong. So it works for all of us... Although I was planning on having a get together with friends. ;) ;)

Theresa, it will slow down your metabolism which is never good. I think on ph 1 you're supposed to have breakfast, a snack, lunch, snack, dinner... and then I think another snack or dessert. Not actually quite sure. But I generally have another snack or a SF dessert after dinner. Don't quote me on this. Somebody such as Ladybugnessa will definitely know the answer (she is a wealth of information).

08-18-2008, 02:02 PM
Well I guess I messed up my first day. Oh well lesson learned. I will do better tomorrow.

08-18-2008, 02:06 PM
You definitely will and you have a healthy attitude about it which is a bonus. :D

Oh btw, I have messed up ph 1 so many times so I am not judging you at all. I'm on my 3rd go around, which I screwed up yesterday, so I'm back on it again.

08-18-2008, 02:11 PM
Mel, I sent you two ims. Please delete your posts above so your personal isn't too personal! :)

Hi Loriann, about to send a PM back as we speak. I need some help, lol.

Gonnabe165, great picture, you have a wonderful smile. :D

New poster Theresa, oh yeah, I forgot to mention, since you are doing phase 1 and aren't sure of what to do yet, you should join us in the Phase One chick chat as well... people generally post their menus and stuff regarding Phase 1... it's really helpful. I like to post my menus to make sure I'm doing it right because believe me I've had so many screwups and I'll bet no one has asked more dumb questions than me, but I keep doing it so that I can make this lifestyle change and make it permanent. :D Hope to see you there. :D

08-18-2008, 02:20 PM
Very cute, gonnabe! And welcome, lotstoo. Don't get down on yourself. Take everything on step at a time and you will do great. :)

08-18-2008, 02:25 PM
I had a decent weekend - too fast though! Is it Friday yet??? ;)

08-18-2008, 02:39 PM
Thanks Melanie! I will see you at the Phase One chick chat .

08-18-2008, 03:49 PM
Theresa you didn't screw up, we all have days when we don't get all our meals and snacks in for whatever reason. Just go on with your day and don't let it get you down. The biggest mistake you can make is letting a little thing ruin a good day and just throwing the day away.

You will find a schedule that works for you. Mine is like clock work now, breakfast 6:30, snack 10:30, lunch noon, snack 4:00, dinner 7:00 and small sweet whatever sometime after that. Except for the weekends when that all goes out the door! :D

This isn't rocket science although somedays it feels like it (that is more for me than you if you saw my morning post) ;)

08-18-2008, 03:51 PM
You definitely will and you have a healthy attitude about it which is a bonus. :D

i don't even know if im on phase 1 or two or what, i've just been eating healthier stuff.. but don't know if dannon light & fit carb & sugar control yogurt is accepted on the SBD nor the purdue chicken strip things you can microwave.. have no idea but i figure as long as i don't eat much of those things it prob won't harm me any.

08-18-2008, 05:32 PM
Can someone tell me if the Hot Chocolate recipe:
would count as a snack? It is 1 cup lowfat milk, few teaspoons of spenda/cocoa powder/vanilla.

Also, I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere that there was a thread for phase 1... did I miss it somewhere? I see some people posting questions that started, just wondering where I go to vent about being on Phase 1 (not that today isn't wonderful! LOL)

08-18-2008, 05:42 PM
OK, so it is listed under "Snacks Phase 1"... answered my own question I guess!

08-18-2008, 06:11 PM
Zeffy, you have a belly bean!!! Congrats, dear!

Fat Melanie
08-18-2008, 07:39 PM
Hi Jellybean, I don't know about the dannon yogurt, is it sugar free? I do know I do like that yogurt though, I'll check it out next time I hit the store. If it's fruity and sugar free, I'm sure it's fine for phase 2. I wonder if vanilla flavored is alright for ph 1 if it's sugar free? Maybe someone else knows.

The purdue chicken strips should be fine as long as they are not floured. I like to buy packages of unbreaded chicken tenderloins from the deli section and for salads and stuff, I'll cook them with a bit of smart balance and whatever seasonings strike my fancy and it's just like the grilled chicken they put on salads at restaurants.

LOL)

There is the thread entitled "phase 1 chick check, august 11th onwards" or something like that. It's helpful for those on phase 1... I post my menus and stuff so if I'm doing something incorrectly, people can point it out. :D

OK, so I made the three hour trip to get a puppy. my goodness. He's 7 months old and looks like he could be Jade's brother. At first Jade didn't want anything to do with him, even nipped at him when he came up to her. In her defense she'd had an hour and a half car ride, it was hot and she needed a drink. Lets not mention she was in a new place, a dog park with LOTS of new scents.

Guiness is 7 months old and it's obvious previous owners didn't spend time with him. AT his age Jade knew sit, stay, come, down, heel, byby car. He knows sit, thats it. He's ALL puppy! at 41 pounds he's jumping all over me, all over the house. Jade loves playing with him. They are about the same size as Jade is 54 pounds. But that wouldn't stop Jade from being alpha, last weekend when Biko was over, I swear that dog is 150 if not heavier! And Jade dominated!

So I took a shower, without closing the door, and next thing I know I have a dog in my shower!!!! He comes in, starts playing in the shower, leaves, shakes off, and gets back in! So I get out, dressed, and decide he needs a bath. I start running the bath water and in he jumps, playing! I SWEAR I've never seen a dog enjoy a bath! I couldn't stop laughing. He was jumping around, playing with the running water, and making one huge mess!

I already know they didn't potty train him correctly, as they said he had pooped in him crate. Well, they gave him to me and the crate, and my car smelled so bad! I was pissed about that! Well, no wonder. The crate they gave me is big enough for the St. Benard or Mastiff size dogs as well as being a wire kind. He needs a smaller more den like. I will be putting Jade on a blanket next to my bed tonight, and let him sleep in her crate. I haven't been crating her anyway.
