Hi chicks! Well - I made it thru the first day of my 'food crammed' week very well yesterday. I did well at the shower and also at our cookout.:) I am so grateful. The shower was lovely and the bride to be got some great gifts. I've decided that after 30 years of marriage, I think I'd like a shower too. ;)LOL What fun!

Today there shouldn't be any outside food forces - just the normal daily ones!

I am working this morning.

breakfast - open face turkey sandwich on lite ww bread, mayo, 1/2 banana
lunch - cottage cheese, melon, green beans with mushrooms, ak mak crackers
snack - yogurt, fruit
dinner - 12 grain pancake, sf syrup, boca bacon, ICBINBS, spinach, tomatoes
snack - oatmeal, almond butter, raisins, skim milk

Ginger - great job on all that exercise. :D How's your back doing these days?

Schmoodle - It's wonderful that you've cooked and planned ahead for the weekd. :D Planning is key. When will DH be back (is it Japan where he is?)

Mj - shoulder is improving, thanks. We had fun Saturday night cooking out with the seniors - they LOVE a cookout. Size L - wow!!! That is a victory, friend. :carrot:

Good Morning! I have a busy day at work today, but that's ok...it makes the day go faster that way! I am going to renew my gym membership too--I tried to Friday, but the person working at the desk didn't know how to do the memberships.

I am wearing my new perfume today (Tommy Girl). I would like to find a new scent (I've worn this one for quite a while), but that will be a future reward. Now I need to come up w/ a new reward! This is fun!

Beverlyjoy--Good for you! I agree, I think at a certain point we should be able to have another shower to replace all the stuff we 'need'...Glad to hear the shoulder is feeling better. I know a L!!! I'm telling you, when I can actually button it (it's SO close right now...) I am going to CELEBRATE!!!! I know it probably runs on the bigger side, but that's ok, I'll take it!!!

Yesterday I started going through my closet. I was able to pull out a stack of pants and some capris that are too big. What a great feeling!!!! Even better is the fact that I already have smaller sizes that fit (so I don't have to spend a lot of $ right now!) I didn't get to the shirts...I was getting tired, so that will be for another day. This weekend I will look for a couple more shirts--bargains, only! Just to spruce up the old wardrobe some more. Dh is thrilled b/c he will get his winter coat back. The past two years I have been wearing one of his coats which has been too big, but I haven't wanted to spend the $ on a new winter coat--I keep saying not until I get to my goal weight and then I will splurge on a really nice one. (I have a dress coat that I could wear, but for everyday to work and stuff, I was wearing his) Well, thanks to garage sales I have found a couple that fit now, so he can have his back. Now I just need to find some pretty gloves to go w/ them.

Wow, losing weight again is really feeding my shopping 'addiction' again....it's a good thing I am a BIG bargain shopper!!!! ;)

Accountability: I was not well-behaved last night, the munchies hit very hard. Fortunately there was not much in the house that was not on-plan for me, but I ate too much of those things, plus some granola I had gotten for the kids. I thought I was past TOM danger point, but guess not...
Monday is a fresh start!

Plan for today:
B: Lima beans and coffee with milk
S: Grape tomatoes, edamame, hard boiled egg
L: Veggie soup, plum, sugar free jello
S: latte, bean brownie
D: Mahi Mahi and ratatouille
S: fudgesicle

BeverlyJoy, congrats on getting through the first event intact! I like your idea, maybe a shower every ten years? DH WAS going to Japan, but he got all the way to Singapore, and they turned him around and sent him to pick up a ship in Norway. He emailed from the UK, and I think they're headed for the Med. He should be home in late November.

Enjoy your perfume mj! congratulations on all your clothes NSVs.

Today is a re-start day for me. The last week has not been a good one for me. I'm still battling this cold/sinus thing and it's kinda wearing me down. I've been turning to the food. Guess what? It doesn't help! The girls went back to school today and life will be a bit more structured. This is good for me and for staying on-plan.

Hi again! I cannot believe it, but completely forgot to weigh myself this am! Guess I was so excited about wearing my new perfume....oh well! I will do it tomorrow!

Schmoodle--Great attitude--fresh start Monday! We are getting nice weather too! Better enjoy it, while it's here!!

Rhonda--Sorry to hear you are still feeling under the weather. Structure is good for me too!

I just ran to the store during my break and found my next reward--some new eyeshadow. Really pretty fall-ish colors. Can't wait to use it!!!

HI Ladies,

What was up with last night? It was exactly a binge night for me, but I certainly ate too much - too much chicken, too much salad, too much broccoli--then later I reheated two waffles DH had made for breakfast, srinkled a few choc. chips on them, heated them and scarfed them down. GEEZ, I really didn't need that.

Well, this morning I told the kids I needed exercise and I could either a) go on the treadmill and they could stay home and play, or b) we were all going out for a walk (they could take their bikes).

So we all ended up going for a walk around the neighborhood (which was great) and I'm home again...it's not quite the workout I would get from the treadmill, but it is a workout.

Okay, I gotta run, the kids got ahold of the hose.

No sticker for me today....I forgot to eat breakfast!!!! I cannot believe it! I was cleaning out my work bag and found a very warm container of yogurt...OOPS! I will NOT make that same mistake tomorrow!

MJ5 - a big part of my plan and motivation is explaining to my kids (they are 4) that mommy NEEDS to exercise...and the more they can help me, the better off they and I will be. They want me to lose the weight although they can't verbalize it...but they do say things like "when you get rid of your squishy stuff can you ride your bike with us instead of walk?" (we use the term extra stuff instead of saying "fat")....but they do know what skinny is. It's hard with little kids. Another big motivation for me is for them to see me active. I want them to know me as the competitive person that I used to be (and deep down, still am) in terms of sports and ability.

So because I only got a walk in with my kids in the morning, I still did 60 minutes on the treadmill at dinner time (DH fed the kids leftovers). and then I helped put them to bed and read a book.

Girlygirl - hang in there....schedule is everything...I can't wait till my kids start preschool in just a few short weeks.!!

Hi chicks! Yesterday was a good on plan day - I am grateful. :) I am happy to report that I am down one pound this week. :D :D That's four sticks of butter - gone!

Today is one of my food challenge days. I am working this morning. At lunch Mom and I are going to a fundraiser for her friend at Max and Erma's. I am going to have the Shrimp Stack Salad at 322 calories. Tonight is the Garden Club meeting. I'd like to save some calories to have a nibble of something...hopefully fruit.

For today
working in am
stretches and movement
lots of water
log food and food values

breakfast - 2 hard boiled egg whites, 1 ou. turkey breast, lite bread, mustard, melon, 2 tsp. almond butter on a spoon
lunch - Max and Erma's Shrimp Stack Salad (Plump shrimp, baby greens, fresh spinach, crunchy noodles, shredded carrot and pineapple tossed in our signature sweet 'n sour vinaigrette and stacked high up on a slice of pineapple- 322 calories, 12.5 fats, 20.5 protein, 33.5 carbs)
snack - turkey roll up and fruit
dinner - Toad in the Hole -2 ( grilled toast with egg white cooked in a hole in the bread made with a small cookie cutter), sliced tomatoes
snack - a thoughtful healthy choice at the Garden Club Meeting

Ginger - so glad you are having the kids be part of your exercise plan/motivation. They'd probably like it if you put on music and all dance! It's great. Sounds like you are determined :) - even with eating a little extra. Carry on!

MJ - it's been a LONG time since I forgot to eat a meal. Sorry you don't get your sticker. You are doing great! It's SO wonderful to be able to pull clothes out of the closet that are too big. :) Enjoy your perfume...you've earned it!! :)

HI Rhonda - gosh, you've been battling that cold/sinus for a long time. :hug: Hope it clears up soon. Life will be calmer when the kids are back in school. You CAN do this!!! :)

Hi chicks, I had the blah-est Monday yesterday. I've had a nagging sinus headache for a couple of days, and no energy, no motivation, ick. Didn't get much done, but I DID stick to plan. Even though I thought about food way too much, I did not stray. So I get a green day, hooray!
B: oatmeal bars, hard boiled egg, coffee with ff half & half
S: edamame
L: Veggie soup, plum, sf jello
S: latte, bean brownie
D: leftovers for me - salmon, ratatouille, steamed broccoli, hoagies for the kids
S: 1/2 cup blueberries with Greek yogurt, agave nectar, and slivered almonds, my favorite "sundae"

Good luck today with your challenges, Beverlyjoy, you've got a good plan in place. I know you can do this! Congratulations on the pound!
mj, sorry no sticker, but at least it wasn't eating too much, right?

Schmoodle--So sorry you felt icky yesterday. Hope today you feel much better! YEA for green!!! That's true, at least I didn't over-eat yesterday.

I am down 2lbs this week! YEA!!!!

My knee is really sore today. Stupid knee. I am planning on taking the dogs for a walk tonight after work, if it doesn't rain. If it is raining, I will go to the gym.

Thanks chicks, I did feel better today and have been on-plan all day too. But I came back here to look at my plan for the day because I am HUNGRY and thought maybe I'd forgotten to eat something on my plan. But no, I just finished my sundae, and I actually had 2 bean brownies instead of one earlier, so I have eaten everything I planned to and more so it is tiime to STOP now. Maybe I'm hungry because my body is getting ready to drop some pounds, right? Okay, just had to talk it through. I'm going to get into my jammies now and if I am still thinking food in a bit I'll make some herb tea.

I need to start posting in here because I am fed up with Fit Day and if I don't journal I will end up doing/eating all sorts of no no's!

Pre Gym (10;30)- 1/2 cup quinoa salad and leftover cold chicken breast

Post Gym - peach

Lunchish timish - LOTS of honeyrock melon with 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese

Snack - 1 square 70% chocolate with cranberries and almonds (yep one square...bought it last week and have managed ONE square a day)

Dinner - artic char, leftover ratatouille, spinach

I am trying to have a week with very little pasta, rice or bread..whole grains or not. I am trying to lose a bit more this week than in the past cause when I hit 235 I get to have a facial...plus that birthday is coming faster and faster

Gym: 1/2 hour treadmill, elevation 2.5 average speed 3.3
Weight training - machines and free

1 hour strolling around large department store. Tried on bras...let's not discuss how awful that was! How many calories does struggling with bras in tiny dressing room work off...or the sobbing in the car on the way home (well just kidding about the sobbing!):lifter::woops:

I went with Mom to Max and Erm'as and had my lite shrimp stack salad at 322 calories - that went well. Last night I went to the garden club meeting ( a neighbor said that the group was providing the food - I didn't need to bring anything and that she didn't know what it would be) and it turned out to be an Ice Cream Social (ackkkk!). Why was I only one who thought - "Oh no, ice cream". So I did have some ice cream and ate some extra calories for the day (I worked them into my plan plus a couple about 200 hundred extra calories) - but, I'll hop back on my plan for today. I am not that worried about a couple hundred calories. In fact...it's almost a victory - because I REALLY struggle the day I do my weekly weighin.

Today's challenge will go well. I have lunch at First Watch with a friend. I'll have the Tri-Athelete Omletter with dry toast and fruit (290 calories).

Tonight is my last performance at the Zoo this summer. That starts at 6:00 - So I"ll have a something at 4:30 and something when I get home.


breakfast - kashi waffle with pnb, 1/2 banana
snack - latte
lunch - Tri-Athlete Omelette (Egg white omelette with sliced mushrooms, onions, tomato and green chilies served with salsa, a dry English muffin and fresh fruit)
late snack/supper - peanut butter and honey sandwich, salad with vinegarette, melon
snack - oatmeal, almond butter, milk, raisins

Schmoodle - good for you!! Coming here to stop the eating. That's so great.

Mollymom - good plan for the day! So glad you posted. It helps to put in down here. (at least it has for me that past ten monthes) I agree, bra shopping is the pits!

Made it through last night okay chicks, thanks for "being" here. I made some nice honey vanilla chamomile tea and drank a big cup and that did the trick although I had to get up twice in the night to pee.

so today, dd as in dear dad volunteered to take my car in for a brake job, and I am going to take him up on it. I have been squealing all over the place although DH assured me before he left that I wouldn't need one until he got back. Dad thinks the garage will take advantage of me and try to talk me into unnecessary calipers. So funny, I don't think he will ever realize that I am 45YO and an engineer to boot, so mechanical things are not over my head and I don't let people take advantage of me. Well it still makes him happy to take care of us and it helps me out to not have to take the morning off and drag the kids along, although I feel a little guilty.

Otherwise, I think we are going to have a quiet day today.
Here's the plan:
B: oatmeal breakfast bars, hard-boiled egg, coffee with ff half & half
S: refried beans with salsa and reduced fat cheese
L: veggie soup, 1 Wasa with Laughing Cow Lite
S: skim latte, bean brownie

Mollymom, welcome to the accountability thread. Taking a few minutes each AM to think through the day is a great help to me. Your plan looks delish! I hear you on the bra shopping, I have a terrible time finding a bra that fits right, last time I broke down and spent $50 on the only comfy one I could find, but now it is getting to big so I'm back to the drawing board.

Hi everyone! I have been super busy today, I thought I was going to have time to clean my office...no such luck! Oh well, at least it hasn't been anything bad, just lots of little things.

My knee feels better today, still sore, but definitely better. Thanks for asking.

I got some MAJOR compliments from several co-workers today. People I see every day...I finally pointed out to them that today I am finally wearing clothes that fit me (it's cool here today, so I wore a pair of my new jeans one one of my new shirts), instead of trying to make due w/ my summer clothes that are quite big. Guess I should wear clothes that actually fit more often!

Beverlyjoy--Good for you!!!! It's funny, we were talking about fast food today and I was saying how I need to plan for traveling on Friday (going to see the inlaws and we'll be in the car at dinner time). My co-workers talked about what kind of fast food they would get...I told them that fast food doesn't even sound good anymore, and it really doesn't. One of my friends was shocked that that could actually happen.

Schmoodle--That's too funny about the car. Don't feel guilty, he wouldn't offer if he didn't want to do it. I would LOVE to have someone do that stuff for me! I am NOT mechanically inclined and always felt like I was being taken advantage of. Luckily a friend of our family now owns a garage and I know I can trust him.

mollymom--Welcome! I need new bras too, but I haven't been in the mood to try to shop for them....have you ever been measured for one? I haven't. I keep thinking I should, but I'm too chicken to do it. Does that sound weird? Just something about having a stranger in the dressing room w/ me....

Hi Chickies...I got thru my lunch at First Watch yesterday and stayed on plan all day. I am grateful. Our dinner out with friends has been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. I am taking it one day at a time.

triple header this morning...I am doing three programs

breakfast - egg white scramble with ketchup, peanut butter toast, cherries
lunch - cottage cheese and tomatoes, sweet potato, zuchinni
snack - yogurt, crackers
dinner - garden burger with lite cheese on lite bun with lite mayo, veggies
snack - oatmeal, almond butter, raisins, milk

MJ - glad to hear your knee improved a bit - that helps. It's wonderful feeling that fast food doesn't have the same 'pull' as it used to. GREAT.

Schmoodle - Why is it out parents sometimes refuse to think we can do certain things...just like when we were kids. I guess it's your dad's way of showing he cares.

I made the yummiest thing last night - a skillet eggplant lasagna dish, and it was meatless, which I am trying to do more of these days. I get to have leftovers for lunch today, so I am pretty excited about that!
DD has plans to spend the day with a friend, so it should be pretty quiet around here. DS has open house at his middle school tonight.
Here's my plan for the day:
B: cottage cheese pancake with blueberries and peanut butter, coffee with milk
S: refried beans with salsa and cheese
L: leftover eggplant lasagna, cucumber and tomato salad dressed with vinegar
S: latte, edamame, Wasa with Laughing Cow Cheese
D: Broccoli cheese soup, salmon patty or chicken with ratatouille
S: Blueberries with yogurt, slivered almonds, and agave nectar

I have a fun afternoon planned for myself on Saturday so that will be nice--of course, it may only feed the drama further....oh well. Like dh says, let them talk!

I had to change my ortho appt, now I can't get in until September 11th. Oh well...nothing I can do about it right now.

I have my coupons all ready for my bargain shopping this weekend--$10 off at Kohl's, $10 off at Old Navy, 15% off at JC Penney...watch out, here I come! I am not going to go overboard, but I do need a few things--including new underwear. Not that you needed to know that, but now you do....

I need to get dinner started--grilled veggies and some whole wheat pasta, not sure what else...

Hey ladies,

Another good day under my belt. I gained .6 lbs this week, so I'm not going to get discouraged. I was surfing the gym website that I am going to join in Sept, once my kids are in preschool, and I'm "planning" all their activities and mine!!! Exciting. The kids will have gymnastics, preschool, piano and swim. There's so much choice out there- for them and me! And with 3 mornings off a week and one afternoon, there so many options. Plus if I want I can take them on monday morning (but the childcare is 6.50/hour for 3 children for 1 hour), so I could work that in also.

Yipee!! I could just jump and shout. I am so excited. I just hope membership is not too expensive.

I'm debating whether to go out for another walk or not. The option is there, it's just that I've done an hour today...should I rest or just go for it?

We've been so off lately since we haven't been to the supermarket to stock up. DH has been home more lately during the day and it has totally taken its toll on us.

We've been eating out a lot since then. There's hardly any home cooking. I've been sticking to plan but it's VERY hard!!!

The shining light is that I'm hitting the supermarket tomorrow. My body is only happy when I'm eating according to my South Beach Way of Life. :)

I miss posting my daily dish but I'll be back to normal soon! :)

Hi Chickeroo's - I stayed with my plan well yesterday :) - I am grateful.

I made it thru my last day of summer work. I was so pooped after three programs that I came home and took a three hour nap. I made it thru my busy busy summer work. The programs went very well this summer and my body held up (with the help of my helpers bringing things in and out). :) I am so, so grateful.

I will check out the rummage sale at Mom's apartment. (that's where my old clothes went to).

MJ - have a great weekend! :) - There's an old saying - "You can pick your friends, but, not your relatives." If they start to bother you...try and be 'teflon' and let it roll off. Sounds like you'll be doing some fun shopping too.

Yesterday DS and I went to the open house at his new school and found our way around to his classrooms, practiced opening the lock on his locker. It hit me then, I can't believe my little round-headed baby boy is a middle schooler! Next year my baby will be too, and no more kids in elementary school. Funny, I've had kids in elementary school for about 16 years now.

Busy weekend ahead, tonight is the end of summer potluck dinner at the pool, hopefully it will be warm enough to swim. It's so cool here right now. Tomorrow we have a band jam in the park followed by movie on the green - School of Rock, also last movie of the summer, horseback riding lessons early in the day, and general getting ready for the schoolbus Monday morning!

Anybody have experience with young girls horseback riding? I'm trying to find info on a personal issue, so please let me know and I will PM you. Thanks.

Trying to decide if I should count yesterday as on plan or not...
I did fine all day until bedtime, the boys wanted popcorn with their movie, and I had some real butter I wanted to use up, so I put that on it. Then I stole a few handsful. Popcorn is okay for me to have, but the butter I am only supposed to use rarely as a treat. I did not use any of my fat allowance yesterday, so that is okay, but the fact that it was butter...
Well, it wasn't that much, so I think I will count as on plan. What do you think?

Tomorrow is shopping day, so today's plan is about using up all the leftovers.

D: Deviled egg, Taco salad
S: Nonfat yogurt with frozen blueberries, sprinkle of slivered raw almonds, and agave nectar
I haven't been wanting my morning snack lately so I've been skipping it or eating it later in the day.

Hi everyone! We are all packed and ready to go. I made sure I packed some workout clothes, sneakers, and my mp3 player so I can go for a walk while I am away. My ils live way out in the country and it is beautiful--there are also lots of hills, so it makes for a great walk. (Look at me, finding the positive of the visit!!!)

Ginger--That sounds awesome! So did you go for the extra walk or not?

SunshineCA--I agree, it's hard to eat out all the time. I'm going away this weekend and am trying to plan ahead.

Beverlyjoy--Yea for another good day! Good for you for taking a nap, sounds like you needed it! Have fun at the rummage sale! That's so true! I will try that. I do try not to let them get to me too much, but it's hard. I can only take so much....then my 'true' outspoke self comes out....

Schmoodle--I would say count yesterday as on plan. Have fun today!

Beverly - gosh you sound tired...I hope the 3 hour nap helped!
Schmoodle - I wouldn't worry about a handful. You are doing great, I personally would call it an on-plan day! And it must be hard to see your kids moving on to middle school.
Sunshine - great job sticking to on plan even when being out! That's tough.
Mollymom- wow - bra shopping sounds exhausting...I don't envy you. I don't think I've ever had a fun bra shopping experience.

Gosh it's taken me 1/2 hour just to write this so far...that's what living with three rambunctious 4 year olds will do.

I did go for another walk. My legs were so tired last night and I had a nice shower. It felt good. It might have been on the line of too much...I'm sore this morning, but I'm going out with the kids again this morning.

On another note, do you ever notice how other people rain on your parade? Well, I was so excited about the gym, and DH and I have talked about this before (ie. before the summer). Now the time has come and he says we don't have the money for a gym membership. He's right, we are struggling right now because I'm not working (I have been doing daycare for 3 years and finally stopped in May). And he just started working for himself and it's been slow going. Ugh! We fought bitterly last night. I"m at the point where my health is worth more to me than the cost of the membership. I know we are struggling and it's not good. We compromised, I will take the free week at the gym, then if I like it, sign up for one month (not 12, even though over the long haul it's cheaper), and see how it goes.

I'm not happy with the way I handled myself last night, I was so full of venom...years of struggling with three babies in total and sheer sleep deprivation that I just can't express to others how absolutely crazy that was, then handling 7 or 8 two/three/and four year olds for a few years with absolutely no time to myself. It's been 5 years since I left my easy 9-5 job when I got pregnant and was put on bedrest. And I just wanted to scream last night. I NEED THIS>>>>, but on the flipside, DH is right, and it's not his fault. We are in this together, and I don't want to add more to our debt. It's just tough.

:?: sigh!!!!

Okay, off to burn some steam.

brunch - crustless quiche - eggs with some milk then onion, tomato, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, part skim mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil and chives and parsley baked in glass dish sprayed wiht olive oil spray, 1/2 slice whole grain bread and a peach

snack : apple

dinner: quiche again..what can I say I am single and I love this quiche lol

snack : rice crackers and a diet tonic with 2 oz vodka


breakfast - cold quiche

lunch : cantaloupe with cottage cheese, peach, Kashi bar

snack: half a medium banana

dinner: will be a BBQ'd turkey sausage and corn on the cob, slice tomatoes with basil

snack : vanilla mini wheats and a peach

It's really hard but doable if you stick to your plan. It's good you're able to plan ahead. That'll make a huge difference. Good luck to you!! :)

Hi Chickala's - Yesteday I stayed in my calorie range and stayed on task.:) - I am grateful.

Tonight we are going out to supper with friends at the Bonefish Grill. I've checked online and know what I'll order. :)

I need to work on my summer thank you notes to place where I've performed. I'll hang out with DH a bit - he was gone most of the week. Although, he's helping a neighbor build a barn/shed. He love that stuff.

At mom's senior apartment rummage sale I got about 25 gift bags for $3.00. I am such a 'bag lady' - love those bags! I saw my fat clothes that I gave away. Most were marked for a $1.00. That's OK - I thought that I'd 'want them back'...but, I felt OK about it.

(I'll eat a big lettuce salad in vinegarette at 6pm because we won't eat dinner until after 7:00)
dinner - grilled fish, salad with dressing on the side, steamed veggie, roll
snack - I'll see how many calories I have left.

Schmoodle - I totally understand about seeing your little boy in middle school! They grow up so fast. I feel that way too. My 'baby boy' is 28, married, and a daddy - Yikes! Amazing for both of us. :dizzy: Yes - I would say that you were OP the other day. Popcorn with a tiche of butter is within your boundaries it seems. What do they say...progress is key..not absolute perfection. :)

MJ - hope your weekend is going well. :)

Ginger - so sorry that your gym membership and the money for it has become an issue. :hug: That happened to me too. I had to find a car payment in the budget and other things. DH's business is down a bit. I didn't use it that much - so it wasn't huge for me. I am going to get a stationary bike. I use exericise DVD's, and weights to help me get movement in my life these days. I hope it works out. The money stuff is often so hard.

Mollymom - Great plans!!! So glad you posted. :) It helps to put in down somewhere. (I love turkey sausage, too)

Sunshine - yes - eating out is challenging - but, doable with alot of planning. You are right. Planning is key. :)

good morning chicks, hope you all have a sunshiney weekend ahead!
I am getting ready to hit the farmer's market and grocery store, then pick up my kids and take them to horseback riding. They stayed over at grandma's last night. Then I hope we can come home and do some power cleaning, and hopefully find the hamster that's gone AWOL. Then this afternoon we'll head over to the park for the band jam and movie. If I get organized enough, maybe I'll pack a picnic dinner, but if not, we live close enough to come home for a quick dinner. Should be a fun day!

I did great at the potluck last night (if I do say so myself). I took a ww couscous salad loaded with fresh garden veggies, and had that and a piece of fried chicken with the skin peeled off. I passed up all the yummy-looking desserts and stayed on plan. This morning I am rewarded by being able to move my ticker 2 lbs. 1 lb. is from last week's weigh-in, but I wanted to move it a bunch all at once (silly!).

Beverly, I've heard great things about the Bonefish Grill. Let us know how you like it. My oldest is 21YO (thankfully not yet married or a parent!) and that doesn't bother me as much as DS growing up for some reason. Well the two younger ones are so much younger and they were my babies. Glad to hear you didn't feel sad and buy all your clothes back!
mollymom, your quiche sounds so yummy, I love leftovers! I always cook a ton of stuff, even though DH is away and it's just me and the kids right now, I can eat things for days without having to cook again and it's awesome.
Ginger, I am sorry about the money issues, that's no fun. I know you are very disappointed about the gym, hopefully it will all work out. :hug: Sounds like you really need some "me" time without kids!

Hi chicks! Well I got thru my dinner out at Bonefish Grill very well. :D I stayed within my calorie range yesterday, meditated, drank water, stretches - I am so, so grateful.

Now - only two more things to face in my food filled week - a cookout tonight and dinner at a restaurant tomorrow. :dizzy:

Schmoodle - Fantastic on the weight loss and moving that ticker!! You are in 170land!! :bravo: I know you are pleased. Bet you got lots of goodies at the market!

Hi accountability chicks!
I have been tracking my food more closely over the last 4 weeks, so now I have a month's worth of data to look at and it's very interesting. I don't journal every bite, but I have a daily checklist of the things that I have to do to be on plan - 32 oz water, 4.5 cups veggies, and things I have to limit - not more than 1 nut serving, not more than 2 T added healthy fats, etc., you get the picture. And if I eat anything that is off-plan I make a note of it.
Anyway, there are 6 days over the last month that I went badly off-plan, 3 Sundays, 2 Saturdays, and a Thursday. The Thursday I attribute to monthly craving issues. I never thought I had an issue with weekends, but apparently I do! I think the looser structure leads me to bend the rules a bit, and I have a tendency to overeat the popcorn at the outdoors movie. Now that I think about it, I also don't get up and get my healthy breakfast in right away on the weekend. Here it is 9:30, and I haven't eaten anything yet. Well, the summer movie series is over now, so that temptation is gone, thank goodness. I didn't know why I didn't do this tracking thing before, very helpful!

So on my schedule today is cleaning, cutting the grass, giving DS a haircut, and making sure the kids are packed up and ready for school tomorrow. :carrot: :carrot:
My friend also called and said she might have some hard crabs to bring over, so that will be a fun end-of-summer dinner. I haven't picked any crabs yet this summer. Now that she's got me thinking about it, if she doesn't have any, I may just have to run out and get some!

Hey all!

Looks like everyone is busy. I've been a walking DIVA lately, and it's been good. I did however break down and make zucchini brownies, zucchini bread and loaf, and muffins...etc. and had a few of them.

But, I've been keeping good to eating my produce and not too much in terms of my helping sizes which I am proud of.
