Hi Loriann,

I moved your post to the Help forum because it isn't South Beach related.

Our blogging system doesn't require downloading any software. What was the exact message you received?

well, I didn't recieve a message, just a lot of down load information.

If I dont have too how do I start blogging? I confused!

What kind of download information? What did you see on the screen that indicated something was being downloaded?

I'm sorry, I want to help but I'm clueless and need more info to figure out what you are experiencing :)

WordPress 2.6.1August 15, 2008
With 2.6.1, we’re continuing our trend of releasing a maintenance release shortly after a major release in order to get fixes for the inevitable “dot zero” bugs into your hands without a long wait. If you’re happy with 2.6, however, keep on using it. You need not upgrade to 2.6.1 if 2.6 is getting the [...]
Theme DirectoryJuly 18, 2008
It’s been a long time since stopped accepting new themes. Since then most theme authors have been distributing their themes from their own sites, without a good centralized place for people to browse, search, comment on, and rate themes. With the success of the plugins directory, we’ve wanted to have those same [...]

The link to write a post is in two places - One is directly above where it says Dashboard, and the other is to the far right of the word dashboard. I'm attaching a screenshot with the two places circled in red. If you clicke either, it will take you to the page that lets you write a blog post.

Hopefully that will help :)

Interesting :chin:

It looks like your browser settings are too restrictive and not allowing all of the files to display. What browser do you use?

08-16-2008, 12:14 AM
Safari. it works with all the sites.

I just logged in with Safari and I can see everything that's supposed to be there.

A lot of the admin panel uses javascript to function. Do you have javascript disabled?

08-16-2008, 12:38 PM
Too bad you had to use the word '******ed' to express your anger. My son is mentally ******ed/challenged with severe disabilities.

08-16-2008, 01:01 PM
Bunny, my comment was not meant to offend! I also have a sister that was mentally ******ed and was not even the least thinking of that end of the scope! Please, accept my apologies?

Java and javascript are different, and I'm not sure how Safari handles it. What version of Safari are you using?

Btw, are you on a Mac? I was checking with Safari for PC. If you are using a Mac, then I'll need to get to one to test it out there. However, the Wordpress program is designed to be compatible with all and is popular with Mac users, so that's why I'm so confused why your system isn't displaying everything. Maybe a firewall issue?

I am using a mac, and I'm not aware of using a firewall... :(.
