I was standing up talking with my husband and dropped something on the floor. It landed right between my feet. :( Straight down, right between my feet. :(

I looked down as I was talking to him, and bent over and picked it up.

I BENT OVER AND PICKED IT UP.

Didn't think about it. He looked at me as I was still talking to him and interrupted me and took what I had dropped and put it between my feet and told me to pick it up. I looked at him like he was nuts and....

BENT OVER AND PICKED IT UP.

He said to me, "When was the last time you remember doing that without squatting and holding your breath?"

I looked at him in total shock, sat down in my computer chair and just started crying my eyes out. He was confused and had to leave the room because he didn't understand why I was crying like I was - hard to comfort someone when you don't expect that reaction.

He came back and I tried to explain it to him and he 'says' he understands... lol.

I know I don't have to explain it to anyone here.

I BENT OVER WITHOUT BENDING MY KNEES OR HAVING TO SQUAT TO PICK UP SOMETHING THAT LANDED BETWEEN MY FEET!

Yeah!! Don't worry we completely understand  I'm waiting for the day I can completely put my socks on :D -- not tucking them on the end of my toes and then rolling my feet forward on the floor to get the rest of them on :dizzy:. I can, however, bend over now and not feel my tummy deciding where the rolls are going to bend :D

That is so wonderful! It's funny how shocked you were. Kind of like when I was climbing the stairs at the beach recently, and I suddenly realized i wasn't huffing and puffing, and didn't even have an urge to stop 2/3 up to "rest" a minute before continuing. It was "easy", compared to April, when I was 20 lbs. heavier, or last November when I was 35 lbs. heavier.

A great motivation!

Oh Chey, that is wonderful! We understand those tears. (I can't help but think of what your poor husband must have thought! :lol) What an amazing realization - proof that it really is working, you are doing wonderful things for yourself! Way to go!!

You guys are great. This is the only place I could post something like that and have everyone totally get it! :)

This past week was sooooo stressful at work. But... today I found myself dropping stuff and picking it up and laughing instead of groaning! LOL

Congratulations! I think it is adorable that your husband put it back between your feet so you'd realize what you'd done. Sounds very sweet. That's wonderful you've hit that sort of milestone! Good job.

I am very lucky, I agree. He supports me 100% with this and so do my children.

You guys are great too! I am sure that I wouldn't be doing as well as I am without all of you! I know that I say that a lot, but it is sooooo true! :)

Chey -- i just noticed this post and when i read the title i thought, "oh, no, not chey, what's going on with her that she's so sad?" considering you're usually so upbeat!
throughout the story, i was wondering what made you cry! did you drop something fragile? or surprising? did you notice something gross growing on your foot when you bent down?
so, i guess i'm just as bad as your hubby!
but i get it now! so happy for you!! keep it up!
