Default SBD Flu?? Nausea/Vomiting

Last night was a rotten one. At about 3:30AM I had significant abdominal pain and vomited. Today I feel terrible, like my gut is rotting and tummy is hollow with significant nausea....

I took a Gravol this morning.

Is Phase 1 hurting me? I don't know if I can get through... I have no cravings at this point or an urge to overeat.

I don't know if I can manage the full two weeks.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know if this is SB flu or not. It sounds a little extreme, so maybe there is something else going on, stomach virus perhaps?
If it is SB flu, don't worry, all of Ph1 will not be like this. In general the SB flu does not last more than 2 or 3 days. By the 4th day most people are starting to feel really good.
But for most people, SB flu takes the form of a headache, general malaise, low energy, and I think I've read some posts about nausea. I'd give it a little longer and see if you can manage sipping some tea, maybe try some scrambled eggs, drink some milk. If you think you are really sick and need to abandon Ph1 for a bit, then try again, by all means do so. Take care of yourself.

That sounds horrid. I never felt sick on phase 1, just headachey. I hope you feel better soon.

By abandoning P1 I believe schmoodle means adding a few carbs, like some toast, to help settle the stomach! By all means continue to eat healthy, veggies, protein, dairy!

Brockbabe, please see a doctor about this. The "SBD flu" is a name we use for the general feelings of tiredness, irritability, sometimes dizziness, and cravings that we get when we are in the beginning of P1. I've never heard of anyone having a stomachache and definitely never heard of nausea or vomiting. You should definitely have it checked out and try Phase 1 when you're well again!

Please keep us posted on how you're doing!

Could be gallbladder? Check with your doctor.

I just got over the SBD flu, and it was nothing how you described. I had headaches and just a general tiredness. I was more than fine to continue on with daily life. I would say that you are actually sick hon, not related to the dietary changes. I can't think of anything that would make you that extremely ill other than an actual stomach virus or food poisining. Take care of yourself!

Brockbabe, I hope you are feeling better. My SB Flu was never that extreme. It was as others had described ~headache, low energy, just feeling really run down. Take care of yourself.

In retrospect I think one of my medications mixed improperly with another causing me to vomit. I have mild IBS and added a laxative (as prescribed) too soon with my other medication and ended up throwing up the cocktail. I had nasty acid reflux and heartburn and had some white toast to settle my tummy yesterday. Today I am back on track and already seem to look slimmer by losing the water weight. I am on my way to do some groceries and am stocking up on much more veggies, chicken, fish, 1% milk, pistachios, boiled ham, etc....

I am going to add more substance and make healthy omlettes in the mornings and have the 2 cups of dairy as mentioned by adding milk with lunch and dinner....

Thanks so much for the responses.
