I am really trying to get off to a good start on things and want to make the best of all my steps in the process to becoming healthy. Yesterday was a day that I struggled with. The whole family got up late for church and rushed out the door. We went to lunch with friends and than ended up going to their house for the rest of the day. How is the :dizzy: am I to get my six meals in a day that I have to get right now?:?: I got up three hours later than normal and was at church at time for snack. Had a late lunch and normal dinner time. I could not get my three meals and three snack times in. I am finding it hard to get all of them in.

I think we all have to accept that some days just aren't normal! But I do carry an emergency "meal" in my purse or car which helps get me through those times. Also, you can keep canned protein drinks on hand that you can grab as you rush out the door.

I second both thoughts, keep food around that you can just throw in your purse...ie canned protein shakes, protein bars etc. BUT plan everything the day before! Saturday night, get an Igloo lunch box and put everything you will need in it for the day (you never know what might come up) and an ice pack in the freezer then when you get up late you can grab the ice pack, through it in the igloo and be off!
I have a bag I keep all my things in, my purse and keys too so I won't forget it...I pack it before I head out to work. It has saved me more then once.
AND...don't worry, it will all come together...promise. :D

I forget if you're pre op or post op. ..
Portable snackage!
Laughing cow cheeses totally shelf/purse stable
Prepack some nuts
Atkins bars (I like the choc PB 1 gram of sugar and no sugar alcohols)
Turkey Jerky (watch the sugars)
Roasted chick peas I posted the recipe a while back
Trader Joes has Celery packs with PB
or just cut up some celery and have with your laughing cow
