YOU: On a Diet - and other Oprah inspired diets - YOAD: 100% Whole Wheat Pizza

I tried one of Papa John's 100% whole wheat pizzas last week. It was pretty good. I got a veggie one and ate about 1/4 of it (2 pieces). I had turned my back on eating pizza since trying to stick with YOAD (not that I'm a big pizza eater in the first place) but it seems like a good option to have once in a while when the craving for pizza hits.
Has anyone else tried it? Like it? Hate it? Comments regarding pizza and YOAD?

Wow - it's exciting to me that a national chain now has whole wheat crust!
But we don't have any around us, so I've not been able to try it.
My pizza on you consists of whole wheat boboli, Trader Joe's pizza sauce (low enough sugar), and lf cheese and veggies.
I think it probably is a good option, but just remember, the cheese is probably full fat, and the sauce will most likely be too high in sugar. But, still a good choice as a compromise.
I will definitely have to try it the next time I'm near a Papa John's.

Yes, I was concerned about the cheese being fatty (more so than the sauce being sugary). But don't think I'll eat it often enough to have to worry about it.
I haven't made a homemade pizza in so long I'd forgotten all about boboli! I'll have to try that too, then I can control exactly what I put on it. Good idea! Thanks!

My DH *loves* pizza, so I had to come up with a solution for that when we first started doing YOAD. He actually likes the Boboli version, but it's hard to get him to only eat 1/2 of it!

lol!
Lucky for me my husband doesn't care for veggies so when we ordered our WW pizza we halved: 1/2 veggie and 1/2 all meat. I still have my other half of my half in the freezer. He ate his the night we got it. lol
