I just read in the weight loss support section about celebrating our successes. I tend to lay low and lurk, with only an occasional posting over at the Volumetrics Forum. Well, I think it's time I allowed myself a small "hurrah" -
I have been walking the same route for just about a month now, 4-5 mornings a week. It started out just managing to get to the top of that killer hill in the first 1/2 mile (and blowing & wheezing like a old horse). Then, adding an additional mile (round trip - 2 miles). That took a couple weeks. I am now up to a full 3 miles in an hour, I get to the top of that killer hill without stopping - and I
like doing it. The part I cannot believe is the
liking part of it. I am NOT athletic. "Exercise? What's that???" Getting up at 5:30 a.m. to do the walk - who is this person??? Where did she come from, anyhow!?!?!?!
