Default Personal Best!!!

I know to some, this probably doesn't seem like a big deal...but for me...it's huge!! I usually HATE running. I mean HATE. But when I joined this forum a couple weeks ago, I was really, really at a point where I was just soooo sick of being overweight that I had run out of options.

So, not only did I begin calorie counting (which has been enlightening!!) I kicked up the exercise a notch and started running 2 minutes at a time between my regular treadmill walking.

Well, the other day I did 4 straight minutes...and was so proud of myself (hehe!)...and today...I DID 10 MINUTES STRAIGHT!!! It was so stange, because I am still unfit and have always struggled to run a minute or 2...but all of sudden I noticed I had passed 3 minutes without watching the clock!! So I went for 4...and 5...and 6...and maybe it is a mental thing, but I felt like my body was on auto pilot and I just kept going!!

I'm very proud of myself and feel like I have turned a new leaf. And I'm grateful to have found somewhere to share my mini-triumph!!! It is partly due to the amazing success stories and "can do" attitudes I have seen on this forum that I made this happen. And thanks to anyone who reads this!

WOOOO HOOO!!!!!!

Thumbs up

AWESOME!!! I know that feeling! I've always had to bust my butt to run for any amount of time, so I know exactly how it feels to get to that 10 minute mark! Good for you.
