Pre-season is almost here. Are you getting anxious for the season to start?

I think my RAIDERS may be better than last year...can't be worse...can they? but I have a dilema...I have to root for the CHARGERS this year.....a family issue...dang!

Who do you like?

Jets fan here, for better or worse. Although being a bred and born New Yorker, I was so happy that the Giants won the Super Bowl.

Not sure what the heck will happen with the Jets this year, but they've kind of got nowhere else to go but up. DS and DH always go to training camp, which is fun for the kids - there are various activities, etc., and you can usually snag a good autograph or two, if you're patient!

Because of the situation in my family my son and dauhgter in law have 2 tickets to all the Charger games. INDY, JETS, CAROLINA and NEW ENGLAND will be here, along with our divison of course. DALLAS and SEATTLE will be here pre-season.

My son is taking me to the RAIDER game...wild....sitting in the middle of Charger rooters wearing RAIDER gear...ca-RAZY!

I'm a Browns fan, YES I know. LOL

But I can brag that I live right here, in Football Hall of Fame city, Canton, Ohio, and this is the biggest week around here. Most of us leave town in fact. Tons of events, pseudo-famous people in town, a big parade, the big game. It's tons of fun.

DH is an Eagles fan too....Oh this is a funny story. One day I sent the kids to daycare wearing their McNabb jersies. One teacher turns to the other and says, "Oh, I thought Rachel's last name was YOUNG"...and the other teacher just cracked up.

I get weak just thinking about seeing my Joe Montana in the HOF parade. I hope he is coming back this year!

I miss Bernie Kozar....

Please NO mention of Art Modell......<spit goobers>

So Brett Favre is now the QB for the Jets. We are a Jets household and I think we are still processing this news! I am sad to see Chad Pennington get the boot, but such is the life of a professional athlete.

The Jets were 4-12 last year; many of the morning sports talk shows today were saying that if they end up with, say, a 9-7 record, it will be considered an accomplishment, whereas if he'd gone to the Vikings, nothing less than a Super Bowl berth would be acceptable.

This is gonna be INTERESTING!!!

Mrsaugie, question. Did the Packers fans want Favre back or not, or was it a mixed bag? Honestly, I tried not to pay attention to the whole soap opera as it's unfolded over the past month, because I just assumed it had nothing to do with us. Personally, I felt that he should've stayed retired. Enough already. He's broken a zillion records, won a Super Bowl, has more money than God. What more is left? He's a very young man outside the world of football. He should do something else! However...now he's ours...I will give him a fair shake and see what he can do.

But back to my question...overall, generally, did Packer fans want him back?

letsgomets--- a lot of what i am hearing is that he put them in a tough spot and where not able to reach an agreement for him to come back. now this is what i am gathereing from the tidbits that i have been picking up all day. The Packers started to build the team to move on with out him . also a lot of the reactions from the fans depends on if you are a "true" packer fan or if you are a fan because of Favre. my opinion is it is time to move on. there is a lot of talent on the team and not just him. i am finally glad it is settled though. i was starting to get tired of hearing in the news reprts that there was nothing to report on the situation.
