Default Bread Suggestions!?!?

I am really kind of scared about getting bread for the start of Phase II! I like sourdough, rye, and whole grain but I am worried that the ones I like are the wrong ones!

Can you please give me ideas as to the name brands that you get at the store?

DeeAnn, you'll find this sticky from our FAQ section helpful for selecting a good bread -

I would also suggest referring to the sticky and also be sure to add them in slowly. I started phase 2 with 1/2 c. of berries per day and still managed to lose 3 lbs on the first week. Slow and steady!

I eat "Food for Life" brand 7 Sprouted grains bread products or their Ezekial bread products. I've not had a problem with cravings with these types of breads. They are in the freezer section of most grocery stores now.

Either Ezekiel, or homemade ww bread.

We have on occasion bought Nature's Own 100% ww bread.

It is so good. Especially with jam...

There is also a bread called Women's Bread - but it would only be for P2. It is made by French Meadow Bakery, available in the freezer section of most health food stores.

If you use the preservative free breads like Ezekial make sure to store them in the fridge or freezer. It will spoil sooner than standard bread recipes. I discovered that after mine got all moldy when storing in the cupboard.

I think that the reason the Food For Life (EZ bread and 7 sprouted grains) breads are effective for us Beachers is because they contain proteins. I eat the English Muffins and I've never had a problem with them. I buy them frozen and store them in the fridge.
