07-04-2008, 09:01 AM
Morning all. Happy 4th day. I do have today off...by luck. The clinic is open...i just got it off. This morning DH and i are taking the mutt walking up the mountain to do the 3FC's 5 k (and to wear out the mutt). Then do some stuff around the house. Then head down to the buckhead area of atlanta. We got a hotel and are going dinner to celebrate our anniversary. There's a big fireworks display there tonight. I do have to work tomorrow, so we have to get up early...oh well (:

Alright all, off i go!

Have a safe and happy 4th!!!!!

Morning All,

Slept in til 8 this morning, did a little spiffing up around the house, took the dogs out and got everyone fed and the breakfast mess cleaned up, all I have left to do is get my exercise in and I'm done for the day, YeeHaw!
Its not looking to promising here, its cloudy and they've given us a 50/50 chance of thunderstorms throughout the day but it is supposed to clear off by fireworks time so, we'll have to see how it goes.
Hope everyone has a fantastic 4th!!

07-04-2008, 12:55 PM
Ahhhhh.....it finally makes sense, I have having a hard time lately and my weight is resisting all attempts...last night AF reared her ugly head for the first time in over 2 years!!! I kind of feel like I am a normal person again. :)

Well, happy 4th everyone, the IL's just got back into town, so I am going to bring the kids over there. Clear blue skies for us, great weather, I just got road tires for my bike, I think I will go for a ride today.

Enjoy, everyone.

07-04-2008, 01:41 PM
Good morning all!!

Gatorgal... I could never do that much in a day. I would be dead. Have fun!!! LOL :)

It looks dreary and sad outside so I put out flags and red and blue balloons to brighten up the day. My family and friends are coming around 1pm so I only have a couple of minutes to write.

Since I am getting TOM (woke up with it actually... bleah) and my eating won't be en pointe today (but I will NOT go overboard) I decided to weigh-in a day early... so.... drumroll please...

I cannot wait to update my ticker and my fitday and my 3FC blog!!! But the guests are coming so that'll have to wait....

Have a wonderful... fantastic... safe and healthy 4th of July!!!

 Hi all!

Happy 4th!

07-05-2008, 01:11 PM
Hi All!

I changed the title to a 4th of July Weekend chat, since we didn't have much action and it is a holiday weekend...we usually do that! :)

Hope everyone's out enjoying themselves!

We finally got our stimulus payment direct deposited Thursday, so we went to Home Depot to get paint and stuff. I'm not sure I'm convinced of the colors I picked out, but we'll see. We got Behr "Grapevine" for either side of the fireplace, and Behr "Creme Brulee" for the rest of the living room, hallway, and dining room. Once we put up some chair rail in the dining room, I'll paint the bottom half, possibly in Behr "Chianti". We'll see if I still like the color then. Not painting this weekend though, have to still do some cleaning up.

We're going to my mom's in a little while for a bbq. Have to be really careful though, because DH & I totally pigged out on "gourmet" homemade burgers last night. And banana splits! :yikes: It was sad...but really yummy.

Have a great day all!

07-05-2008, 02:07 PM
Oh Lauren... I love to paint my house!! I just did my bedroom in Willow... it's a light sage green. I bought white furniture and have a seashore theme with lighthouses, seashells, etc. My favorite place int he whole world is the shore, especially Cape May, NJ so I wanted to make my room look like a seaside cottage. If I can't wake up next to the sea for real yet, I've made it look like I'm there... LOL :) I have white lacy curtains too... I love white lacy curtains. And believe it or not, my husband loves it. He loves the shore too and it reminds him of our trips there and our stays in some of the old Victorian homes. We love it.

Have a great time at your BBQ. I'm OP today completely. I had my BBQ yesterday and we have one tomorrow to go to also. Althought I didn't overeat or anything, I was sick last night and stuck in the bathroom. I started to get sick at the fireworks and couldn't wait to go home.... which was sad because I love them and felt like I was being ripped off.

I think my body said "Um... I liked the healthy stuff... What the heck is this crap? OK... abort mission and go straight thru!!! We'll show her!!!"

LOL :):):):):)

Have a good weekend everyone!!! :)

Hey everyone!

Lauren, creme brulee, that sounds so yummy. It is hard to pick out colors. Hope you are pleased once you get them up.

GG, hope you and your hubby enjoyed your anniversary.

Yeah, I've not weighed myself, I'm expecting TOM soon myself. I woke up at 5am feeling famished. Went back to sleep and woke up craving bacon. Good thing I didn't have any in the house.

I have to go back to work tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great week!

07-05-2008, 06:09 PM
Hey all ,

Party yesterday was great. Had about55 people total. Expecting two couples to come over any minute now to finish up the kegs and the leftover food :) Happy to get rid of it.

HOpe everyone had a super day, and has a wonderful rest of the weekend. Will check back in tomorrow.

Later girlies!!

Hi All,
Sounds like everyone is having a good weekend! Haven't really done much this weekend. Did a lot of nap taking and reading. Finished one book that I was on for about two weeks and started another one. A Night To Remember about the Titanic. Very interesting. Just trying to take it easy. Was headache free for two days and it came back today minus the nosebleed. So I will have to tell the doctor on Monday. Hopefully he can shed some light onto my problem.
GG, sounds like you were going to have a nice 4th. Did you and your dh enjoy your getaway? Hope work wasn't too bad today.
Trish, don't worry I haven't gotten in any exercise in two days. I am starting to go nuts. Yesterday I was just too hung over from the beer I had the night before. Then this morning, I had to help my dh at the pool and then go get his kids. Once we got home, my bil was here with his two grandchildren. So we visited with them since they are leaving on Monday to go back home. Then it was time to make lunch. So then I took a very long nap. So did you get your muskrat?
Toni, how was your bike ride yesterday? I wish I didn't live on such a busy country road or I would ride my bike again. I use to ride my bike all the time growing up. I just don't have the energy to load it up and take it to the bike path to ride it. How are you feeling with AF back in your life? I hope things are going okay with having her back.
Poppyseeds, hope your cookout was a good one yesterday. Congrats on losing 4 pounds! Way to go! I bet you feel proud of yourself. I can relate to the going to the bathroom issue. I have been going to the bathroom alot this weekend, since I was at our friend's cookout on Thursday night.
Lauren, sounds like the colors will be pretty! Your dinner last night sounds yummy! Enjoy yourself at your mom's! Don't eat too much!
Alicia, hope you are feeling better! I hate TOM anymore. Glad that you didn't have any bacon in the house. Then you would really be bloated! We will miss you when you go back to work. Have a good week too!
Pam, sounds like you had a good party yesterday at your house. Enjoy the company tonight and hopefully there will be no food leftover or beer.
Hi to everyone else! Hope you are having a great relaxing weekend!
Take care,

07-05-2008, 09:52 PM
Evening all. DH and i had a great 4th. The hotel was nice (should be for the $$$ LOL). Stayed across the street from the fireworks. WE could have stayed in our room and seen them perfect, but we wanted to get the full effect. We had a nice dinner..and ended up walking to and from the dinner (over 3 miles total). Needless to say i'm worn out today.....but i survived work. However, i think i'm going to crash early tonight. Hope everyone is well. Night all.

07-06-2008, 12:28 AM
Hi guys, Hope everyone has been having a wonderful 4th!! I took Alex to see fireworks Thursday night and we had an awesome time!! I'm glad it ended up just being us two, Cass would have freaked out at the noise. We were right in front of where they were firing them. Friday we spent the day at MIL's repairing her grill and having a BBQ, then we had company that evening. Nothing much just hanging out and watching TV. Today we spent at Liberty Science Center. Alex had a blast, he's old enough to start getting the exhibits. Cass, not so much! They had one room that she loved, they had a huge rice table and she spent the longest time shoveling rice and pouring it from cup to cup. I think I may get a huge bag of rice, put it in a container and keep it in the kitchen to keep her entertained while I try to cook. The rest of the time I just chased her around the other exhibits. It was rainy here today so everyone had the same idea...go to LSC!!! It was super crowded. I was afraid I was going to loose her. People could see me following her with an empty stroller and they would just cut me off. GRRR. I just started running through them. She's so tiny I was afraid I would loose sight of her and not be able to find her again!

OK, there I go, typing a novel again!

07-06-2008, 12:34 AM
I treated myself for the 4th. My all-time favorite holiday! :) We're usually in Las Vegas but this year there was soooo much going on with everyone that it just didn't work out this year. We won't hit Vegas 'til August.

My DH had to work and the kids were gone so I had a day all to myself. I treated myself to a day at the spa and an ohhhhh so wonderful 80-minute massage. Later, DH and i checked out the last of the fireworks.

I was very happy I was able to stay legal. Even at the spa.

07-06-2008, 01:37 AM
happy 5th of july!

TOM was a big tease?!?! there for a day and gone again, maybe it will come back like this :?: I went from nursing full-time then the depo shot while we waited for DH's vasectomy (no swimmers left by the way!:D). The combination kept TOM from coming back. Any of you have the depo shot? how long did it take for TOM to return?

had a nice 4th with the kids, went for a bike ride on my new road tires (FIL oiled the bearings too) and OMG, I am in heaven!!! it is so much easier to ride!!! I can't wait to go again! :D :carrot:

I have been having a really hard time with keeping my food intake at a reasonable level, so I decided to count calories again for a while to get back on track. If any of you do that, what is your goal range?

Karen, your story of the science center reminds me of taking my kids to the Children's museum in Minneapolis. AMAZING place for kids (both of mine loved it, ages 1.5 and 3 yr-it has areas that are appropriate for a wide range of kids), if you are ever in the area I would highly recommend stopping in.

GG, glad you had such a nice time with your DH :D does your schedule change every week or do you always have the same days off?

Pam, sound's like a great party! I wish I was closer and I'd stop by and help you with that keg. ;)

Lauren and poppyseeds, I really enjoy painting and sometimes miss being able to change the colors on a whim. :) Our house doesn't have any sheetrock, and I can't say I was sad about that when we were building. I HATE mudding and taping!!!

Alicia, way to go on making it through the craving! I should probably get all bacon out of my house. :D

07-06-2008, 08:50 AM
Mornin' All! :coffee:

The Hag woke me up early today (AF) so I got up, showered and started cleaning the bathroom. Sprayed down the shower with SCrubbing Bubbles. GUess I should go scrub soon, huh?

Toni, What's on your walls then?? Log cabin? I love to paint, it's prepping and clean up I hate! :lol3: My friend had the depo shot a long time ago, I think she said it took 6 months to get AF back.

Sunshine, :welcome3: Glad you had a good time. What do you mean by "stay legal"??

Karen, I've always wanted to take Peter to LSC. Maybe some weekend DH & I can take the boys.

GG, Sounds like a lovely time! Did you stay in Atlanta?

Poppy, I love the shore too! Sounds like a nice theme. I thought about doing the bathroom in a shore theme. I think the color I want the walls is kind of a "jersey shore sand" color anyway.

Have a great day all!

07-06-2008, 09:50 AM
Morning all...i got much needed sleep last night. I slept for over 10 hrs!!!!! something i normally don't do...but obviously i needed it.

toni-to answer your question....my schedule changes weekly. The clinic is open 7 days a week. I usually have 2 days off and they vary. However, in 2 wks...i will only have one day off for 2 wks straight. Its sort of my decision. We are short dr's (one is on maternaty leave and another quit) so they have a $500/day incentive if you work more than 5 days. So i couldn't pass the money up. So in 2 wks...i'll be worn out from working so much...but that's ok. I could use the extra $$$$ with Italy trip coming up soon.

lauren- we drove to an area called buckhead...just a few miles from downtown. It was really only about a 30 min drive from our house...but it was nice to get away from the night and not have to deal with traffic before and after the fireworks.

Alright all..off to get ready for work...by all!

07-06-2008, 11:33 AM
Morning Everyone,
Sounds like everyone is still having a great weekend! I was a little mad last night at my dh's ex-wife. She always has a way of ruining our weekends on the holidays with the kids. She kept the kids all day and night of the 4th. We went and picked them up yesterday at 11 a.m. Then had to take them back at 9 last night, so they could watch their grandpa shoot off fireworks. I wanted to take them to the fireworks show along the Ohio River last night. Then my dh was like well you and I can go. But it would have been too late when we got there, so I said the heck with it. I am so tired and sick of her getting her own way with the kids. She doesn't do a whole lot with them another time. Oh well, when they get older I hope they know who was always there for them.
GG, your night getaway sounds like a nice one. I wish my dh would just take off for a night every once in awhile. Hope you have a nice day today!
Karen, was laughing at your story about just running after Cass finally. But that is a great idea about the rice. Hope you have a nice relaxing day today!
Welcome Sunshine! Sounds like you had a nice quiet 4th of July! Always good to have me time.
Toni, glad you enjoyed the 4th and your bike ride. I bet you will get your food intake under control. It just takes time. Atleast your excerising is staying on track right. Take one life change at a time!
Lauren, sorry that the Old Hag woke you up so early today. Have fun scrubbing your shower. So what are your big plans for the day? Will you be prepping your walls?
Hi to everyone else! I am off to go get my workout in. I will chat with you all later.
Take care,

07-06-2008, 11:46 AM
Well, we are off to another BBQ today. I have cramps so bad I could claw out my own eyes. We have to drive over one hour to get where we're going. Let's see... cramps + kids + car + husband... hmmm... I hope I don't kill anybody. I really don't feel like going. :( I want to put on my woobie clothes and stay in bed with my friend the heating pad.

I think I broke my scale yesterday. It was dusty and dirty from months of non-use so I sprayed it with Windex and I think it got into the buttons. It's one of those Weight Watchers BMI scales with the sensors and it won't work anymore. I really hope I don't have to replace it.

Enjoy your day everyone!!!

07-06-2008, 01:04 PM
Poppy, maybe it just needs to dry out. I have a Tanita scale that does all that and I haven't had a problem cleaning it.

Kerry, that stinks about the ex and kids. :(

I am cleaning today. I had a bunch of bins in my LR that have baby stuff that I want to put in a garage sale, and misc. other garage sale stuff. DH will probably do a little spackling during the week, but other than that, the walls are pretty much ready. Possibly a little sanding, just to make sure. It's all set in my head...we'll see if it actually gets done that quick!

07-06-2008, 02:16 PM
Happy Holiday to everyone.

Well Friday was aweful. Thursday night I got on the scale to see what was up. I had not been on it for awhile. I am disgraced to say it said 200. Complete melt down. I went to bed had a bad dream that my husband left me. Then Friday morning I was very pissy. My husband was like what is wrong with you. And there it came complete break down. I am talking crying the whole nine yards. I am very disappointed in myself. You know I have been drinking the slimfast and eating an apple for breakfast. I take my lunch everyday. I cook for dinner. I don't understand. I wish someone could explain it to me.

Then we left and went to a cook off. Saturday went to the airport and picked up the daughter. I am so glad she is home. I missed her so much. Then we went to the beach for a party. This morning we got up and went to eat breakfast with my sister.

So tomorrow it will be a complete stict diet from ****. I do not care if it kills me. My husband is so funny. He is like Christe I love you and you are beautiful. I told him that in society it is not acceptable for a women to be fat. When we watch TV and he is commenting on the overweight women that it feels like he is talking about me. He said that I do not compare to them. I have such a loving husband. Sometimes I wish he was the type that wasnt.

Enough pity for me.

Kerry I understand your frustrations about the ex's. I have it on both sides. I have my daughter who lives with us but he does not bother me to much. Then I have my stepdaughter who also lives with us. Now her mother has no respect for anyone or anything. She doesn't even have respect for herself. It really puts a strain on the relationship with the husband when stuff like that pops up. That is the one fight that is pretty consistent in our house. We have raised both of them together for 10+ yrs. My ex pays childsupport and she does not. She does not help with one thing. But both the girls have reached that age of knowing who has taken care of them. Neither one of the girls want to live with the others. They know that they could not take care of them like we do.

Well I have house work to do . I will see yall tomorrow.

And by the way it has rained here everyday for the past 2 weeks.

07-06-2008, 03:25 PM
Fergi, just want to send :hug::hug::hug:, I gained 9 pounds back after school got out and I went on my vacation. I HATE seeing those numbers go up. :( Yesterday I was calorie-**** with myself and am down 1.5 lb from what I was yesterday. I guess my eating was WAY out of control for it to drop so fast (I really wasn't paying much attention at all). I don't know what plan you are doing, but maybe it would help to count calories for a day or two just to see how many you are eating, the first time I did it I was shocked. One more  for the road.

poppyseeds, I hope your BBQ goes okay, I recommend LOTS of motrin! :D:D:D
Have you ever seen Death at a Funeral?

GG, does your schedule make it hard to plan stuff? How far ahead of time do you know which days you have off? (I think I'd take the $500 too, sounds like a great incentive!)

Lauren, Thanks for the info about AF, I was expecting the effects to wear off sooner than that. We do live in a log cabin (20' by 24'), we have tongue and groove siding stuff on the inside where there isn't log. We are trying to save money to build in the next few years, this place gets smaller every year as the kids get bigger, and the dogs don't come in very often anymore due mostly to lack of space (they are about 95 lbs each...big dogs), the cat even stays outside during the summer, we all get a little "cabin-feverish" during the winter. :D

I have a friend who shows dogs and we might go to watch her dog show today, she is doing the agility stuff with her doberman's. I watched her practice once, it is AMAZING what people can get animals to do. Lots of time and energy...anyway, hope you all have a great day!

07-06-2008, 04:33 PM
Afternoon Ladies,
Fergi sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts your way sweetie. I know that it is tough, but hang in there. It will get better. I am glad that your dh is such a supportive one. Gotta to love them when they are like that. Glad your dd is home with you now. My dh pays childsupport and we still end up paying for things for the kids. Like we are footing the bill for them to play football this fall. So that is just nerve racking at times!
Toni, congrats on being done 1.5 pounds! Keep up the good work! Hope you enjoyed watching your friend show her dogs. I have always wanted to live in a log cabin. Maybe when the kids graduate from college and we have some extra money, I will finally get my wish. Or closer to when I retire! :)
Hope everyone else is having a great day! I am off to sneak in a nap. Chat with you all later.
Take care,

07-06-2008, 05:16 PM
Hi all...returning again from another trip away- this time at my parents house...well, lots of food and I know I have gained...I stepped on the scale and it was bad...it said higher than I even started at WW...there was just too much...I really need to get myself under control. So, needless to say, I understand everyone's frustration and agony over it all...plus, as seems to be the trend it is my TOM and I have eaten like a pig. When school isn't in session, I find it very hard to be strict with myself. Well, try, try again, right?
I will write more tomorrow...little girl is up from her nap...Erin

good afternoon! happy sunday!!

hope everyone had a wonderful 4th...it sounds like it!

we watched fireworks on the 3rd and the 4th...both were great

were do you get in on the 3fc 5k runs?...i always read about them but can never find where to get involved

congrats to all who lost weight...i myself weighed today...happy to say im down .8 this week...only a little but im happy with anything

have a great sunday...will try to check in this evening and reply to all!

07-06-2008, 06:22 PM
on here to get away from the chips, guacamole and salsa that the family is having downstairs. I WILL get back into ONEderland!!!! :carrot: :D I just heard DH, now they are having the homemade blueberry ice cream that I made last night...glad I'm up here...LOL :D

Erin, I completely understand about having a hard time being strict with myself when I'm not in school. It's easy for me not to eat when I am at work, surrounded by kids, with a huge pile of papers to grade and things to do. During the summer...well...I am having a tough time. Hopefully I can keep up with my calorie counting and see some progress, I'm sure you will get back into it now that you are home. Are you going on any other trips this summer?

Christina, congrats on the loss!

Kerry, I ended up sticking around the house, just was too tired to go to the dog show, I hope she has another one this summer that is in town. :( I feel bad missing it, but feel like being a "homebody" today.

I hear thunder outside, I am going to go for my bike ride before we get rain. :bike2:

07-06-2008, 10:17 PM
evening all...work was SLOOOOOW!!! oh well..i made it thr. Then we took the mutt for a walk up the hill..and i then made DH some fresh sea scallops for dinner. Man those were delicious!!!!!! but very rich. I could only eat two (since they were very large).
fergi - hang in there...it can be a struggle sometimes. I'm holding around the same for a few weeks now...sometimes i loose a lb or two but then go right back. Hang in there...start logging your food and seeing how much you are (or aren't eating)

kerri-hang in there. I can't imagine having issues with kids and ex's but hang in there.

mama-my schedule comes out usually a month in advance. It does make planning things hard sometimes...but honestly, I don't have much of a life right now. DH is busy with school..and we don't really do much. We try to plan ahead of times...i can request days off. It does suck not having much weekends off. oh well....

alright all..hang in there all...have a great night.

Hi everyone,

I have been "lurking" around the last few days, reading most of the posts and thought I would finally stop and say hi. I usually post with the Thin Wannabee's but, since the 'crash' no one has been around. I miss posting and really feel like I need some support and accountability. Not much support (at least postivie) here at my house.

My name is Kim. I'm recently divorced after almost 15 years of marriage. I have one daughter. She is eight (will be nine in Sept.) and mildly autistic. She is so smart that it is scary at times. I feel like she is actually an adult trapped in a kid's body somedays. lol.

I actually lost about 40 pounds last year. I found out last spring I had a vitamin D deficiency and some other deficiency that had to do with my iron. By then, I had lost about 20 pounds and for the first time in about 10 years was finally under 200. I decided to cont. this trend. Unfortunately, between changing jobs (from a very active phyisical job to a job sitting behind a desk all day) and just not caring about what I ate, I have gained all but about 5 pounds back.

I was feeling better physically and starting to actually think I looked good. Still had the "I'm ugly" days, but they were getting farther apart. Now, I'm back up to a size 22 (down to an 18 last year), and finding I'm again having trouble with stairs, and just keeping up with life in general.

I re-joined WW a few months ago, but had to give that up due to getting laid-off from my job. I know I can do this without the meetings and weigh-ins, but it seemed to help by having someone tell me what a good job I did, or this is a new week, you can do it when I had a weight gain.

My mom lives with me. She is a "fataphobic." She will make comments on how bad or ugly someone who is overweight looks, or comments like "I hope you never get that big." I know some things she means well, like when she asks "Can you eat this on your diet?" or "Should you have that?" If I didn't know the real way she feels, it might not bother me too bad. It actually makes me want to eat twice what I should, or go for that ice cream that's in the fridge.

Well, guess that's it for now. Got to get back to some school work.

07-06-2008, 10:53 PM
hi everyone!
wow! busy around here.

GG your mini vacation sounds great! that is great you guys celebrated your anniversary in a hotel. I love to get away like that, it feels to me like a mini vacation. LOL.

Toni sometimes it is so good to just chill around the house, did you get stuff done or rested?

Erin get some rest!

Fergi keep your head up, enjoy the company w/your daughter and don't be to hard on yourself, you are doing everything right, it may just be a matter of time and when you see a change in the scale it may just be huge, are you clothes fitting any better?

Kerry you seemed to have a very busy time too, good for you! kids sure keep us busy. I am so happy to see you around again regularly!

Lauren I hate painting, I am terrible at it, good luck! the colors are gorgeous! I am sure they are going to look great in your home

Sunshine :welcome: I LOVE Vegas too!!!

Karen I remember those days w/Sean, always having to run after him, the move so quick! that is a good way to exercises!

Hi Pam, glad you had a good time, did you get everything you had to do done?

I am just exhausted, it was a super busy weekend. We had I think 40 people here on the 4th, there were so many kids it was wonderful. The water slide started running at 11:30 and we didn't take down till 8:40 PM so we could go watch fireworks, it was a great day thought, we went through 2 1/2 boxes of hamburgers and I have no idea how many hot dogs, salad and ice cream. My best friend called me she lives in Santa Monica, she wanted to come over on the 5th, I couldn't tell her no, so she came down w/the baby it was great to see them. After the left (Saturday) one of the families that was here on Friday came over to get back on the slide, then another family showed up, people just kept coming in and out and before I knew it, here we were w/a huge crowd, cooking again and picking up, and on and on.... it was great thought! Today I had to leave the house just in case any one else would show up, I just didn't have energy. I took Sean to the Welks Resort we picked up one of his friends on our way there, they had a blast, and I was able to just sit and relax! I needed it.
I am beat!
I will see you guys tomorrow, I am going to try to get some sleep tonight!

Valerie congratulations on the loss!!!

Sunshine, :welcome3: Glad you had a good time. What do you mean by "stay legal"??

Thanks for the welcome! :D

Staying legal for me means staying on South Beach. I say that all the time. Even as I ordered my meals for that day, I made sure I had everything that was allowed/legal during Phase 1. Basically, it helps me stay accountable. ;)

Sunshine :welcome: I LOVE Vegas too!!!

Thanks for the welcome! ;)

We go to Vegas all the time as we have a family time share. My Dad also owns a home there. This makes it easy for us to travel there often. We used to drive but for the last few years or so we fly. Much easier to arrive in 20-30 minutes vs. hours on the road. Although I can drive there in like 3 hours.
