Monday

I just did 5 miles on the exercise bike. Took me 25 minutes and I was doing anywhere between 10-12 mph.

I am going to do additional exercise throughout the day but thought I would get this one down and I will add as I go!

Add to that: 2 sets of 12 reps with 5 lb weights for triceps
2 sets of 12 reps with 5 lb weights for back

Okay, I'm going to try to post my exercise every day. I'm hoping to make myself accountable after missing 2 days last week.

Today I did UBWO. Boy did it feel good! I also did 25 crunches using the stability ball. I really felt those crunches working--then I rolled off the ball on my head!:o  It's a difficult thing to balance on.

LBWO at gym- hurt my knee, but got the workout in. Zanne  I've fallen off those too! I just thought it was the klutz gene kickin' in again!

Did 20 minutes of intervals on the elliptical. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I really missed the exercising when I didn't do it for a couple of days last week.

MEL-Thought it was MY klutz gene with the ball:lol: Guess it's just the ball!

Really had to PUSH myself to go out today, and even after I did, only managed to do 3.5 miles with hardly any jogging-weird pain in the front of my left leg didn't help matters. Oh well, at least I went!!!!:D

UBWO today; got caught up in some chit chat so it took me longer than usual <g>.

Congrats Mel on your goal! I busted out laughing when you wrote about spinning your scale around, I'll have to try that.

Started my Firming and Toning stuff today. I am going to try and do it 3 days a week. It takes about 30 minutes to complete them all.

I was shocked at how hard these are to do and how weak I am. I know I will be able to raise my reps up after a few times, but this was an eye opener for me!

1.Outer thigh raise (2 sets of 8)
2.Inner thigh raise (2 sets of 8)
3.Crunch Abs (2 sets of 15)
4.Diagonal Crunch (2 sets of 15)
5.Push ups (2 of 8)
6.Upright rowing ( 2 of 8) 5 lb weights
7.Bent over Rowing (2 of 8) 5 lb
8.Tricep Dip (2 of 8) this is a killer for me
9.Quad Lift (2 of 8)
10.Hamstring & Glute Lift (2 of 8)
11.Bicep curl (2 of 8) 8 lb weights
12.Tricep Extension (2 of 8) 8 lb weights

I am looking to eventually raise my sets and reps, but this is a good start. Some were easier than others but I thought as a beginning I would be consistant, except the abs which are very easy for me.

4 mile walk today. Did it in a bit over 1 hour. We walked slowly, because I have a blister on my toe ( my new shoes deflated, so I need to give them a rest).

.8 mile run - 9 minutes.

According to my heart rate monitor, I now have to run in order to get it into 85% range. In order to stay aerobic, I have to walk VERY FAST (12 - 13 min/mile).

I am considering joining YMCA.

TONI-Thanks for the *wows* the other day. That is real encouragement to me! And I need encouragement when it comes to exercising. I can always think of others things I have to do...but I know this is a *have to do* thing now too!

Did half of a step class and called it quits, then got on the bike for 30 minutes for a total of 10 miles.

Walked a lot yesterday evening...I can feel the pain!!

Won't be able to work out tonight, but will try to get in some walking if possible.

Second day on diet, combining Somersizing and sugarbusters. Feeling good although yesterday I felt withdrawal from sugar and/or caffeine. Had to incorporate some so I wouldn't have a head ache all day!

Starting Weight 161lbs.
Mini-Goal 155
Goal by May 18th-- 145lbs!
