Hey girls! Did we miss a few weeks or something? I was sick last week, so didn't get much exercise in at all, but am feeling better today, and started out the day with my 30 min walk... :carrot:

How's everyone else doing?

06-09-2008, 09:33 AM
We lost a week or 2 of data, so last week's post poofed into thin air LOL!
Thanks for starting the thread!

Already got my cardio in for today. 30 minute jog (2 miles). It's hot and muggy here today, and I knew if I didn't get it in early, I wouldn't do it at all.

06-09-2008, 05:31 PM
40 mins on the elliptical, 10 mins upper body weights....whoa I think I'm done for the day lol

06-09-2008, 06:13 PM
I'm doing the slim in 6 video and C25K W3D1. I also burned some calories outside a little earlier. I did some gardening finally and it is HOT outside.

I just had to give up my trainer after 2 months...we own our own buisness and are currently in litigation against my husband's ex-partner and we just can't afford it right now :tantrum: I will do cardio tonight after it cools off and I need to start working out on my own this week :blah:

06-09-2008, 08:19 PM
I got in 50 minutes at the gym.......

and I am thinking about playing my Wii tonight.........

Yep - I ended up putting 30 minutes on the Wii

06-09-2008, 09:53 PM
Blech- 75 minutes cardio at the gym tonight. I much prefer outdoor exercise but the sky looks like it's going to explode.

ETA: I walked the dog too 30 minutes, despite the rain - we needed outdoor time.

06-10-2008, 02:02 AM
I went for a walk today. I also went shopping and walked all around the mall. I started lifting weights yesterday!! My BF has a nice little set up in one of our garages with a weight bench and everything. I tried bench pressing. I like it and will continue!!

FB - I WISH it would rain here. It is SO HOT!! :hot:

I just got back from 75minutes with the dog-- usual up and around the mountain. I did the same yesterday, plus walking to the grocery store and back.

06-10-2008, 09:51 AM
Hi Gang! Got up early to do the exercise again today. Already 82 degrees in the house at 7:30am. Ugh.

Did Cardio Overdrive (45 minutes). Will do bowflex later after I get work done.

06-10-2008, 06:54 PM
I will be doing Slim in 6 today and I am thinking of going to the Ramp it Up instead of the Start it Up. I am a little sore today so we will see how I feel in about an hour. I will also be doing C25K, W3D2. When I finished my W3D1 yesterday I felt like a million bucks. I couldn't believe I had actually ran for three minutes! It's a big deal for me!!! :)

Good for you! I have the Slim in 6 workouts. Ramp It Up is harder -it's the lunges that always get me. Great workouts, though!

06-10-2008, 07:53 PM
45 mins on elliptical, 10 mins on abs, and 10 mins weights for upper body.

06-10-2008, 09:37 PM
Hour of biking today, 1 mile walk at the park.

06-10-2008, 10:11 PM
1 hour at the gym - 35 minutes cardio - 25 minutes lower body and 25 minutes on the Wii.........

I was actually pretty sore this morning and it carried on through out the day.

If I wake up really sore tomorrow then I am going to swap my off day to tomorrow.....

06-10-2008, 11:13 PM
You guys are so hard core! Wow! I wish I exercised half as much as some of you do~!

I did 35 mins on elliptical today.

06-10-2008, 11:59 PM
DOTI Hip Hop Party DVD- 45 min
Walk with the dog- 15 min
DDR on Wii- 15 min

That's a lot more than I'm used to, so hopefully I'm not too sore in the morning.

06-11-2008, 01:58 AM
I did my usual walk with pup. 1.5 miles. I wanted to lift weights today...but I didn't get around to it. I will do it tomorrow evening though!

06-11-2008, 08:40 AM
Walked 33 mins.

06-11-2008, 09:59 PM
I jogged 5K today! :woohoo: Took me 49 minutes LOL!

06-11-2008, 10:05 PM
Wow Lori!! Go you!!!

45 mins on the elliptical, 60 crunches and 15 mins weights for upper body

Don't worry I'll switch it up tomorrow ;)

06-11-2008, 10:46 PM
I was still pretty sore today - so I just did some stretching and played on the Wii a little bit..... but back to the gym tomorrow!

06-11-2008, 10:48 PM
My job took me to the park for 90 minutes of pure-sweating-chasing 3 small children-****. OMG, that was tough. I biked to and from the sitter's house to drop off & pick up my son, biked a bit for fun, walked to and from the office and gave my car a good old fashioned hand washing. I'm giving the dog a quick 1 mile walk in just a minute and THEN I'm passing out asleep!

walked 1hour 20 min with the dog.

Yesterday did more walking during the day than usual (missed the bus), but less dog walking because of pouring down rain.

06-12-2008, 08:48 AM
25 mins on elliptical this morning.

06-12-2008, 06:08 PM
20 mins on the elliptical, 55 crunches, 15 mins on upper body with weights annnnnnnnd 10 mins with my belly dancing dvd ;) Told ya I was gonna switch it up lol

I'm I the only one that is addicted to exercising? If I don't do as much on one day I feel kind of lost! Wish I would have found this obsession before I got this big.

06-12-2008, 07:38 PM
Treadmill for 30 minutes, alternating walking and running. 15 minutes on the exercise bike. Getting ready to take my dogs on a walk. I wish my gym would let me take my dogs along on the treadmill!

06-12-2008, 08:21 PM
I got some cheap workout DVDs several months ago and I am just now getting around to trying them :)

Today I did Walk Away the Pounds: 2 mile walk and walked with the dog for 8 minutes (he doesn't like the heat, I don't either for that matter).

Yesterday, I did a Firm Bootcamp DVD that was really tough on me, but I got through it following all the beginner moves. I felt really good knowing that I finished it. I hadn't exercised in a while; I forgot how good it made me feel.

06-12-2008, 08:32 PM
First time working out (in too many years to count)...work has the "curves" gym. I did it!! :)

06-12-2008, 09:05 PM
My week so far:

6/9 = 30 min workout (exercise ball)
6/10 = 30 min on bike
6/11 = 30 min on bike

I was HIGHLY irritated last night and COULD have gone for about 2 hours, but my heart rate went WAAAAAAAAAAAAY up so I stopped at 30 minutes.

06-12-2008, 09:54 PM
Yesterday was my rest day. Today I am doing Slim in 6 and C25K W3D3! I am really nervous about week 5 of c25k cause its a 20 minute nonstop run. I don't know if I can do it in 2 weeks.

06-12-2008, 10:15 PM
crazycurls - you can do the C25K! I just graduated that program LOL! The 20 minute run had me terrified, but take it slow and pace yourself. It really does get easier.
You might want to do either/or with the SI6 and jogging. The later SI6 stuff is intense (burn it up).

Today I did my lower body bowflex workout and then ended up taking 3 bike rides of 4 miles each. So - guess that is 12 miles LOL!

06-13-2008, 03:52 PM
FiberLover, so far with the C25K, I wasn't feeling like I was getting enough exercise so I added SI6. If the jogging gets really intense, I will drop the SI6. I haven't made it to the burn it up part yet. I think I am going to stick with the ramp it up for a while. Thanks for the advice!!!

06-13-2008, 05:26 PM
Bike ride to work, to the sitter's and 1.5 hours of personal training with my upper body and breaks with cardio.

ETA: Rain went away - walked 4 miles with the pup.

06-13-2008, 05:40 PM
I did the usual :) Plus went shopping with 3 small children...does that count? lol

06-13-2008, 07:12 PM
Worked out again at work (work bought Curve's equipment)...so I did that again for day two

I am going home tonight won't be home till tomorrow night. No working out this weekend.

06-14-2008, 12:35 AM
Already did slim in 6 and getting ready to do C25K W3D3!

06-14-2008, 09:27 AM
Just catching up here. Yesterday I jogged for 2.25 miles (35 minutes).

Today is going to be a nice long bike ride with my hubby!!

06-14-2008, 01:26 PM
no workouts for me this week and probably not next week either :(

My fever and chills and body aches that one doctor thought were sun poisoning has turned out to be Lymes disease.

Hopefully it will go away with the antibiotics but I have to be tested every 6 weeks to make sure it doesn't come back once it does go away :(:(

I do miss my exercise though and hope to be back to it in a couple of weeks.

06-14-2008, 01:45 PM
Oh :( I hope you feel better soon jay41, take good care of yourself! Speedy recovery wishes.

I'm trying really hard to cut down on my gas consumption and add more activity into my day. My car uses premium fuel and it can get costly. I'm so used to exercising just for the sake of exercising, not for other reasons and am truly enjoying it as a means of transportation.

I started my day off with a 2 mile walk to the Farmer's Market. It was a bit hard because my arms ache so bad from yesterday's training and I was pulling the wagon loaded with my 40 pound son and lots of veggies. I'll add more later :)

06-15-2008, 04:59 PM
jay - sorry to hear about the Lyme disease! At least the doctor identified it now and can get you the proper treatment.

Today I did a 15 mile bike ride.

06-15-2008, 09:12 PM
I hope you are feeling better soon Jay!!

I didn't do anything yesterday....I worked 12 hours yesterday.

Today I did 30 mins on the elliptical

06-15-2008, 11:46 PM
Walked 30 mins tonight. Today starts my next two-week period, so I'm planning to better than I did the last two weeks!
