I NEW TO THIS SITE I WANT TO LOOSE 110 POUNDS . I have to loose this weight im tired . please help :stress:

Well, you've come to the right place, m'dear. Seems the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to find a plan that works for you and your lifestyle! :)

What are you thinking of trying? What resources can we point you to?

:welcome: smyrah to this site and the board. I think the most important thing is that you must have a plan of which healthy eating plan you wish to follow. You will see on this site there are many plans read around and see which fits best into your life style and one you can do for life.

Just over a year ago I was in the same boat as you fed up of being so overweight fortunately it did not effect my health but I know that was only a matter of time. The many thing is you want to lose the weight and for your health. I have used the boards for support and advice along the way. All of which I have found invaluable. Never in March 2007 did I think when I embarked on this journey that I would lose the bulk of my weight and now on the homeward stretch. I know that I could not have done it without the wonderful people here on 3fc.

Welcome to 3FC. There are some wonderful people here and you can definitely find motivation. Encouragement, recipes, suggestions, it's all here.

I'm finding that the key for me is not thinking in terms of what I'm missing out on but what fantastic food I get to eat instead! I'm trying to go whole foods lifestyle because it's the one that makes the most sense to me. You need to find the plan that will work best for you and allow you to enjoy your food. Same thing with exercise. The idea of walking on a treadmill makes me want to cry, but a 3 mile hike in the woods? I'm there!

It's all about perception. Something I'm slowly working on. It doesn't happen overnight (at least it hasn't for me).

Best of luck! Stick around (I have to make myself come here and read some posts daily in order to stay on plan). There is sooooo much inspiration around here that it's hard to not get caught up in the excitement!

Welcome! I can't really add much more than these ladies have. Just find the one thing that works and stick to it. Find an exercise you like or can fit into your life and keep that up. You'll get to your goal just keep focused!

I am so glad you found 3fc! Folks here are very supportive and helpful. Please feel free to start posting.

I agree with the others....the key is finding a plan that you can live with...not a temporary quick weight loss idea. Include movement/exercise, lots of water, healthy foods, support here at the boards and you will find your way.

Most of all - and the key - is when you eat something unplanned, please forgive yourself and carry on.

I am a calorie counter and do daily meditation.
