Talking Day 11 - Phase 1 - Progress!!!

South Beach Works!!! I'm astounded that I've lost 7 lbs. already. And I've lost my cravings, have more energy, and just feel much better about myself. The first couple days were tough, but not too bad, just the headache and fatigue.
Still wondering though about the daily limit for the reduced fat cheeses. Anyone know?
Thanks for everyone's support the first couple days, it really made a difference to my willpower!!!

to the Beach, Geemo, and congratulations on your weightloss.
Somewhere there is an answer to your cheese question but I can't find it right now. Perhaps another chickie with a less cloudy brain knows!

I've got the new book beside me plus I've looked at the "How to Adapt Your Food Plan" here on the SB Forum. I don't see any limit for low fat cheeses. Cheese doesn't seem to be included in the daily limit on dairy, which is listed as milk, buttermilk, yogurt, half-and-half (limit 2 TBS), and soymilk. In other places, Dr A refers to Dairy and Cheese as separate items. And on the list of foods in each Phase, cheese is a separate category from Dairy and no limits are listed.

I've got an old book and the new one and have never seen a limit on the reduced fat cheeses.
